I decided not to go home right after that. I was sure that the higher up would beat me there, and I did not want to face him just yet. Mentally, I was not ready. Honestly, I did not think I would ever be ready, but I was sure that eventually I would have to be. Just not right off the bat. After witnessing all of that, a walk in the woods sounded appealing. I looked at the time and frowned, it was already hitting six in the evening. I was in that building longer than I thought I was. That made me very frustrated, considering I had been looking forward to it. I guess I had no choice but to go home.
