After the Northern King left, Daphne began to make a list of her highest priorities. 

It was almost strange as she sat in her usual desk, and even the stack of paper she kept tucked in the bottom right hadn't drawer was there. 

The first thing when she saw the Northern King again would be to ask to be moved to a common room. Or all along, maybe he meant for this room to be the ultimate insult, a slap to the face that constantly reminded her of how he had conquered everything in her life. 

Her hands shook as she gripped the ink pen, her usually impeccable handwriting coming out a scribbled mess.
