Humans are scary

It's been a week since I joined the literature club, nothing important happened at all in this time, we just go and read some books and chat about it if the content is worth speaking about.and for Kiriyama she dropped by to walk home with Makoto frequently.

at first I was shocked when she decided to chose the track team over her love, but now that I watch her running like that, I can sense how serious she is about it.

People really aren't simple creatures, I can never understand their feelings, as I was thinking like that I checked my phone to see something

after some more time their training finished and we gathered to walk home together.

Makoto wasn't here because she felt bad about keeping him waiting for her, but it's fine If I wait huh...

"Did you make sure Makoto is going home before coming back here?"

"Yes Captain"

I said it sarcastically, normally I would have rejected her asking me to go to the station and then get back to the school, but using teleportation makes it easier

"I really don't want anyone to see me with you alone"

"Yes,Yes you don't want to be with a disgusting weirdo"

she didn't answer for a a while and then corrected me

"No, I just don't want Makoto to hear some weird rumors about us dating"

She's surprisingly kind in times like this, maybe she's not so bad after all

"that's the main reason, you being disgusting is a valid reason too"

after coughing sometimes she proceeded to start the main topic

"is Makoto flirting with the girls in the club?"

Normally I would have sided with my dude and tell her that nothing is wrong,but that smooth player is going all around rising flags with every single girl in the club it's honestly scary

"well he's getting along with everyone well, you might say that he's just being kind a little too much"

I'm not really lying here, normal people wouldn't see the flags rising without the title "third wheel", it activates frequently when we're in the club room but nothing concrete yet

"*sigh* he doesn't have boundaries with girls at all that's crazy...even though I liked because hecis such a airhead"

She talked with a bitter smile,I decided to ask her something I thought about for a while

"why don't you just confess to him? it's better than risking the chance of him being stolen"

I can see Kiriyama's embarrassment on her face, she really only act like that if she's thinking about Makoto

"I...I know that! it's none of your business you can stop helping me if it bothers you so much!"

This girl....well nothing can be done if she doesn't want to.

Finally we reached our parting place, but before we go on our separate water I casted a healing spell on her, it's a low rank so she won't notice that the pain disappeared suddenly. I can't help it, seeing someone doing there best to achieve something makes you support them unconditionally.

the next day, I was alone with Hiragi-senpai in the club, Makoto is helping Suzuki-san in the student council to get the club to be an official one

I don't have much to speak about with Hiragi-senpai so the awkward silence is killing me. dhe doesn't seem to mind it at all though did she just ignore my existence completely?

"what's the book you are reading?"

I tried to start speaking about anything, she looked at me with dead eyes, she's realy beautiful...but most importantly she's definitely scary

"It's nothing"

when she's saying it like this my curiosity will only grow! yes I have to see it

now we're facing each other so no matter how good my eyes are I can't see

unlike the name suggests, this skill doesn't really stop time, I just called it like that because it's looked cooler than "Slowing time"

In this state even if I moved slowly I can surpass a bullet's speed by a huge amount

I feel bad for using such cheap strategies to spy on senpai but she's wrong for being suspicious

as I walked closer I can see her eyes looking at me, I moved to the other side thinking that it should be a coincidence but no matter where I go her eyes keeps looking at me, that's so scary did the skill fail...?

no there's no way I can see that my book is still falling down without touching the ground yet.

time flow continued as normal while I felt a since of defeat, she's definitely a normal human but her eyes could keep up with anything no matter how fast it is, is this the strength of a book warm? I underestimated them so much!

her reactions are so perfect that her brain can't keep up with it, even after trying some times she always lock eye's with me and dodge my gazes hiding the book

"You're really amazing senpai. Can I worship you?"

she didn't make any reaction but still just by looking in her eyes I can see the answer

she's definitely surprised, but her face isn't capable of showing any kind of emotion

or so I thought...

after returning to the club Makoto went directly to see what's senpai reading

as I expected her agility is maxed, so her reflexes are out of this world, while I was busy checking my phone I just heard a weird voice

I focused on the voice directely, and then I saw Hiragi-senpai blushing while covering her face, I really didn't see that coming, the protagonist who caused this situation is also blushing while apologizing

humans are scary, that's just too much! Makoto defeated senpai's ultimate domain, and made her change her expression for the first time, bot more importantly
