The Hand Ballers Showdown

"Minato!" shouted a middle aged looking woman with white hair and red eyes, she was the mother of the most mediocre handball player out of the 2 leagues Minato Tsukumo, well that was just a nickname, the boy had red hair and blue eyes, he was still in his pajamas but he came rushing downstairs. "Look" his Mother said, Minato looked at the TV, BREAKING NEWS the TV had on it. The reporter started to talk and said

"The current leaders of League A Rackhim City has been accused of paying several different referees throughout the years, this is what the president of the Japanese handball association had to say about this incident"

The screen on the TV then showed an old man who had the brightest blue eyes you'll probably ever see but had no hair, this was the 7th Japanese handball association president his nickname was Mr Impact because when he was in his prime he moved like a prime flash and Superman combined, he then started to talk

"This will not be tolerated,for years this team has been dominating the league and to think that they have been cheating there way to 7 League A titles makes me sick. I have been getting some reports about the most ridiculous decisions made by previous referees to be honest, but I never thought that they would be doing something like that."

Suddenly one of the interviewers asked a question. "So now that they have officially been relegated which team is going to replace them, clearly they need to be 40 teams in league A and right now there's only 39."

The president then replied " I know and that is why I will be bringing up a team from Japanese's B league.

At that moment almost every B league player was shook, they were very anxious to see what the president was going to say next.

"What's going to happen is we're going to host a tournament but only League B teams are allowed to join."

The president exclaimed.

The interviewer called on him again this time saying "so what exact tournament are we talking about here sir?"

"Think about it, he uttered it's perfect,because it's pre-season and games don't start until June we have loads of time, its November. Basically, this event is going to start with 40

teams of course and on the first 3 days the teams will get matched up with random different teams. They will be 4 games each day, by the end of these 3 days they will only be 28 teams remaining. After that, 7 games we be played in two days which will leave 14 teams. Then

they will be 2 games in a day and 3 games in the next, they will only be 2 teams remaining after that and those teams battle with their lives for a spot in not only the most prestigious League in Japan but in the world.

Minato was staring at the screen for about 5 seconds but after a while he started to utter some words "SO YOUR TELLING ME BY THE END OF THIS YEAR I COULD BE PLAYING ALONG SIDE THE KEMONO KINGS JUST LIKE MY FARTHER USED TO!" his eyes started to turn into a waterfall as his mum gave him a massive hug.

Nobody knows about this except Minato and his mother but Minato's dad was the legendary Damien Rodgers he was considered as one of the greatest players the world has ever seen if not the greatest. He actually used to play for the German national team and very popular League A team, the "Kemono Kings."

He helped them win their first ever League A title and their 3 championships. He surely would have broke way more records if it not for him dying a couple years back. No one knows how, not even his own family he just went to bed and never woke up.

Because of this his son (Minato) is trying to finish of his farther's career that he never got to finish.
