3 Intelligent Fools

There was a village called Gujj, in it lived 5 friends….who always were together...….everyday they meet before school, collectively they go to fetch fodder for their domestic animals and together they went to school. There was only one school in the village.

The boys would meet again in the evening to take their cows and sheep for water. Later they go to their homes, eat food and watch TV Serials.

Summer Holidays soon followed... they knew that they had to spend holidays by looking after their domestic stock all day. They devised a plan, the following night everyone agreed to meet at 10 pm. They all sneaked through their homes to meet at the water tank. They all waited for the last member to join the group and together they left.....

They went to the coconut garden of the village head, two of the boys climbed up the coconut trees as the other three waited below. They started ripping down the coconuts from the tree...…The three boys below started stacking them inside a gunny bag. They slowly finished the job quietly....they carried all the coconuts in a gunny bag and hid it inside a bush that was on the way to their school. And silently they crawled their way back into their homes.

Next morning, the boys had woke up early than any others, and were roaring to go to school for the final day..... the boys again met at water tank and started walking towards school...on their way they slowly grabbed the gunny bag that they hid and carried it all the way to the nearby market.

One of the boys came forward to talk with a vegetable shop in the market; he bargained the price for coconuts and finally agreed to sell them all at 150 rupees. After collecting the money from the vegetable shop owner they headed straight to the toy shop and purchased a cricket bat and ball for 120 rupees....with the other 30 rupees they all ate doodh peda.

They were happy after all their plan was a success.....now they knew, exactly how to spend their summer time...….every morning they would have their breakfast and carried lunch boxes …..To the vast plain hills of Gujj with their livestock.....they always had to travel long distances in summer for grazing their animals as water and food was very scarce in summer. They would have left their livestock in the hills and would play cricket below the hills...….

It was a happy day....they were playing cricket below the hills as the time went past 6 pm. They realized they had to take their cattle back to the village, they ran fast towards the hills...….to see their cattle already heading home.....they ran to catch up with their livestock and reached just in time to raise no doubts of what they were doing below the hills.

their plan seemed to be working well...until they realized they need more money to buy wickets and extra bat & ball this time...they spoke among themselves to repeat their previous plan to earn more money this time. They all met again the following night at 10 pm. They slowly started walking towards the coconut gardens...….the village head also headed towards coconut gardens to clean his bowel...he came to see the boys moving ahead of him towards his gardens.....he forgot about nature`s call and slowly followed the boys without their knowledge...

"I should teach these boys a lesson," he said to himself.....he covered himself in the black blanket he brought with him behind the bush, as the boys started to slowly climb up the coconut tree...…..The village head, started making evil noises from the bush...….the boys were terrified of what they were listening to....they slowly crawled together into a group holding each other...All of a sudden the village head jumped on them...screaming as a ghost...…..this terrified the boys, and they started running in all the directions.....one of them fell flat peeing his pants, in fear...…the village head slowly crawled back behind the bush...the boy stood up and started running as he cried and screamed for help.

By the time the last boy reached his village, the village had woke up.....they took all the boys into a group, and asked of what happened...….The boys explained they saw a ghost by shivering in fear...…..with later investigations....the villagers came to know about what the boys had done on the night....

It took three weeks for all the boys to return to their normal states...from fever and fear...…..they never dared to go in the dark again...…..The village head would smile in his head, as he looked at any of the boys from that day on...
