2 Chapter 02

With her eyes fixed on the large screen of a Pc, Naomi savored a cup of freshly brewed coffee. She felt that something was not right. The information that appeared on her screen did not correspond to what the DF had said it would have, it was just company data, and it didn't matter at all. The security wasn't complex either, and the way they were doing the hacking was different from what it would take to investigate.

Naomi met and found some prototype technologies in development. When she received the message from DF, informing her that he had found what he wanted. Surprised at how quickly her partner had figured it all out, she said:

"This was very fast. But also very strange. Why did DF ask me for help?"

But she thought everything would be okay since she had done her part and would receive the bank deposit. Finally, Naomi could breathe a sigh of relief for the first time that day.

"Whew!" she sighed in relief. "At last I will be able to pay off my debt to Mr. Noboru."

Naomi felt relieved. She knew she could always count on DF's help, even though he was a person full of mysteries and got into trouble, most of which she helped him solve. But he never abandoned her when she needed him most.

"Now, what am I going to do for the rest of the day?" Naomi asked herself. "hmmm... I'll have another cup of coffee, and then I'll go for a walk. But maybe I should clean this apartment."

Everywhere, packages of French fries and soda cans, clothes strewn on the floor, cardboard boxes filled with comic books and other geeky items Naomi had bought a few days ago.

"How did I let my apartment turn into a dump?" Said Naomi, surprised at her sloppiness. "The coffee will have to wait for later. I'm going to clean up this mess before I get buried by all this garbage. But now, where did I leave the cleaning material? Hmmmm... Is it in the cabinet under the kitchen sink? "

Naomi gathered up the clothes lying on the floor to wash after the cleaning. Going toward the kitchen, she opened the small cupboard under the sink and saw some cleaning materials. Among those products, she chose the ofuro cleaner, a bucket, a mop, a dustpan, some garbage bags, disinfectant, and some cloths. She took everything into the living room and said:

"Whew! Let's start this cleaning, and then have some coffee."

Somewhere in Tokyo, in the corridors of the renowned technology company Avant Kaisha, all the employees could see the panting figure of a young man running towards the office of the company president. Before entering, the young man adjusted his clothes and hair, then knocked on the door three times and said:

"Mr. Mori. And secretary Yamamoto Yuki."

The voice on the other side of the door said:

"May enter..."

"Excuse me, sir." said Yuki entering. "Mr. Mori, I have an important matter."

In front of the large glass panel, Mori Tatsuo, the company president, enjoying the view from above the city over the other surrounding buildings, when he turned to Yuki, who had entered.

"What is this matter you have to deal with me?" asked Tatsuo.

Tatsuo could tell by Yuki's expression that this is something very grave.

"Sir. The team that monitors the database system reports that the system was under attack by two hackers. And that they have stolen some designs of the new prototypes to be developed next week."

Upon hearing what Yuki had just reported, Tatsuo became irritated and said:

"What? How is that possible? And who was it?" Tatsuo asked sternly. "Didn't the person in charge of the monitoring team take any steps to deal with the invaders?"

"According to the monitoring, the officer reported to me. The attackers used a link as bait to get into the system." said Yuki. "When they realized it was under attack, they quickly tried to track down where the hackers were attacking from. But one of the hackers cut the signal, and it was not possible to find the location. "

" Whew!" Tatsuo sighed in annoyance. "Then only one of the hackers was possible. Well, and what is the location of this hacker?"

"This one here in Shibuya." Yuki said without hesitation.

Tatsuo sat in his office chair, leaned his elbows on the desk, interlocked his fingers in front of him, and said:

"hmm... Shibuya!" Smiling satisfactorily, Tatsuo continues. "How interesting. And what else do you have?"

"We have the address where the signal is coming from, and it seems to be coming from an apartment complex. The name of the building's owner is Yamazaki Noboru, but the intruder, it's a woman, her name is Fukui Naomi." Yuki said, handing Tatsuo some papers.

"hmmm..." did Tatsuo. "So it was a woman."

"What will be done, sir?" Yuki asked apprehensively.

Tatsuo looked at the paper handed to him by his subordinate and smiled, saying:

"Don't worry. You did a good job. Now you can go. I'll take care of it..."

Yuki bowed and left. Alone, Tatsuo rummaged in his inner suit pockets and took out his cell phone, and typing in a few numbers made a call.

"Satoru. I have a job for you. I want all the information about Fukui Naomi and bring her to me as soon as possible. Said Tatsuo angrily."

"Sir, has this person caused any trouble?" asked the confused voice on the phone.

"Yes, she hacked into Avant Kaishi's system and stole some projects under development and restricted information which involves our suppliers."

"I will do as commanded, sir." Satoru said diligently.

"Yes, see you soon." Tatsuo said as he hung up the call and wondered. "Fukui Naomi, who do you work for?"

At the same time, in Naomi's apartment. After a thorough cleaning, the smell of disinfectant was everywhere, and the wooden floor was shining.
