22 Chapter 19 - New Skills

Long story short, I was travelling and without access to the internet.

After we finished our little 'encounter', we exchanged contacts, cellphone number and email, and went back to our respective classes.

While leaving I could hear Yariko humming a little song, probably without even noticing.

She clearly was in a good mood, and to be honest so was I.

Actually, saying that I was in a good mood likely was an understatement, since I couldn't express how happy I'm right now.

I had finally lost my virginity!

I had finally being able to do something that even in my previous life had proved to be impossible. I never had the energy or motivation to chase someone at that time, and even when I finally started to live by my own I spend all of my energy in surviving, leaving me no time to have a romantic life, much less a sexual life.

Not only that, but I had lost it with one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen.

It was impossible to truly express the happiness I was feeling right now.

But I wasn't happy only because I had sex for the first time, but also because of what I gained through the system as a result.

Once I reached my class I took me seat and waited for class to start.

The only downside of this little adventure with Yariko was that it left me with no time to lunch, but I could survive one day without lunch.

While sitting I checked my cellphone, and in it was a bunch of messages from Yurika, starting with questions about why I hadn't appeared at the cafeteria to questions of why I haven't go to lunch.

I struggled a bit to find an answer for her, and in the end unfortunately I had to recur to the most reliable answer that wouldn't invite unwanted questions from any normal person.

After that she just asked if I was alright and I said that was feeling better, and she didn't asked anything else.

Honestly, talking about something like this with someone I wanted to bring to me harem wasn't the best idea, but any other response would just invite a thousand of questions from Yurika.

I also couldn't talk with her about Yariko, at least not right now. It would diminish the chances of Yurika accepting my plans for a harem. There were items in the <Shop> that would facilitate for someone to 'brainwash' their target, and removing any necessity to be careful with my actions regarding their opinion, but I never was very fond of those ideas regarding an innocent person like Yurika, although I enjoyed to see them happen when the protagonist was having revenge on his bully.

With these thoughts in mind the teacher arrived and class started.

The subject was math and, since there wasn't anything they could really teach me regarding it, I simply pretended to pay attention and started to check what I gained thanks to Yariko.

Looking at my skills, I was able to confirm that I had received the rewards of my mission, so I decided to have an answer to what exactly those new skills that I acquired could do.

'System, what the skill [Network Connection] can do?'

[The skill [Network Connection] allows host to have it's brain temporarily work as a 'computer', allowing host to connect to any kind of network, similar with what host would call 'internet', from any place of host current world. In host normal normal state the total capacity of host brain is necessary for it's utilization, not allowing the execution of any other activity. Current time limit: 30 minutes a day]

...Huh?

What kind of broken skill is this?!

I could connect with the internet from anywhere? Through my mind?!

This ability could make my life much easier!

My biggest obstacle in my ways of research and making money was my limited time on the internet. I had to be careful to don't neglect my attention with the women in my house and Yurika, so I hadn't so much time to use the computer as I wished, but this ability could change that.

Sure, the limitation of the skill could make it difficult to use without raising suspicions, if I hadn't [Dual Thoughts]. If I use the two skills at the same time the drawback would disappear and I would be able to use them anywhere.

Leaving these thoughts aside for now, I decided to ask about [Basic Sexual Knowledge]. I was already curious about it before of why t wasn't listed as a passive skill, and even now was showing as just a normal skill.

'System, how exactly [Basic Sexual Knowledge] works?'

[The skill [Basic Sexual Knowledge] works as a pseudo-passive skill, automatically activating when host engage in sexual activities, but deactivating if host wishes. The skill doesn't modify host's body, instead it storage knowledge in an unconventional manner on host's brain temporarily, allowing host to permanently absorve the information the more he engages in sexual activities. Once host absorve all knowledge the skill can provide, the skill will be removed from the <Skills> list, for it have lost it's purpose.]

The explanation was different of what I was expecting, but not something that I considered inconvenient.

I had no idea why I would want to deactivate it during sex, but t was good to now that if I wished I could control it if something I didn't expected or predicted came to happen.

As I still had a lot of time until the end of the day, I activated both the skills [Dual Thoughts] and [Network Connection], so I could start to work immediately.

Having part of your mind as a computer was weird, to say the least. Not only that but my brain was faster than my computer when using the skills, and my computer was a really good one.

Like this I spend my day, working in my investments and research while pretending while paying attention to classes, when I didn't knew the subjects.

As I was getting ready to leave to meet Yariko, since she invited me to her home, my phone suddenly started to sound an alarm.

An alarm that haven't sounded for a while.

I checked my phone to confirm what I already knew, and as expected there was a little dot in a map moving in an direction that it hadn't for months.

Anna was going back to that club.
