The Growing Old Vs The Growing Up

In normal circumstances, we simply grow old, we don't grow up. Growing Old is one thing, growing up is another total different thing. Every plant, animal and human grow old. But only humans have the tendency of growing up. When we say we are growing, we don't grow on one spot. Stagnancy isn't an emblem of growing. Someone or something must move in a given direction. Growing is just about the movement from one level to another. Either horizontally or vertically and either a step upward or a step forward. Growing old and growing up are aired by a popular pilot known as change. Be it from small to big, from short to tall, from foolishness to wisdom. A man of Ignorance into becoming the knowledgeable. A man with the spirit of extravaganza into becoming a man that is an economizer. All still talks about a driving or moving force. Something that removes an individual from one spot and placing him to another. That's the more reason a man cannot be foolish and be wise at the same time. But he can either get more foolish or more wise. He can either get poorer or richer. He can either become less spiritually sound or more spiritually sound. And other various examples you can also come to think of. Ageing is simply about change. Why do you actually think those jokes you heard while you were still a little kid have little or no effect on your current state of humour? Why is it that those nice boots you used in playing football during your primary school days no longer size your feet? Why is it that the way guys are coming to get attracted to you, is extremely different from the time when you were still 9 year old? Growing Old is an horizontal line that draws us closer to our grave. Growing Up is a vertical line that makes us admit that we are getting closer to the grave and still driving us into the reality cave. Let me make this clearer. Growing old will only make us physically and biologically mature, but it is the content we feed our mindset that will make us grow up. No wonder there are several aged people out there, who still don't have matured sense of reasoning. Please, I don't want you to blame them. They are only just passing through the door series of growing old and not through the sequential gates of growing up. Your mindset is the sole centre for growing up in every sphere of your life. It is what you feed your mindset that will determine of how your destiny and your future will be set. Now, my question for you is, what do you feed your mindset with, which is the sole centre of your all-round maturity with? Growing old and growing up both have limit, because you cannot live on this earth forever. But so far you're still living to grow old, growing up doesn't end. You cannot continue to learn anything new, once the process of your growing old is being terminated. "You'll stop growing up, the moment you stop growing old." Growing up is an option for everyone. It all depends on you, whether to activate the button or not.
