5 Whispers in the Zoo.

"Oh, cheer up now will you." Nymphadora said sitting on Adrian's bed, "You even dung-bombed their houses, I mean what more can we do."

"There's a lot we could do, Dora." Adrian said sighing a bit, "It's just embarrassing that uncle and aunt had to move out of their house because of me."

"It's not your fault." Tonks said, "Well, its slightly your fault but I still choose to blame it all on those fangirls of yours."

Adrian looked at the young girl in front of him who was trying to make jokes to cheer him up. She had pale skin, dark twinkling eyes, a pale heart-shaped face, and bright pink, short spiky hair. She was decently pretty until she did stupid things with her face and hair.

"Don't be such a downer!" Tonks said standing up and pulling Adrian away from his bed, "Let's go out today, I wanna go to the nearby muggle zoo we saw yesterday."

"C' mon Dora, we've seen plenty of magical creatures with Rolf. I mean how can these ordinary creatures match Dragons." Adrian said lazily as he was being pulled by Tonks.

"I don't care." Tonks said with her hair turning bright red, "You're coming with me, whether you like it or not."

"What's going on?" Andromeda came out of the room with a wand in her hand. Since they had recently moved in, there were still a lot of places left to clean and as the last elf of the house had passed away two years ago, Andromeda had to take care of the cleaning herself.

"Since he's been such a bummer ever since we arrived here I want to take him out to the muggle zoo nearby," Tonks answered before Adrian could, "Maybe get some fresh air."

"That's a good idea." Andromeda nodded with a smile understanding her daughter's intention, "I think this might cheer you up, after all, you'll be going to Hogwarts this year, so it's nice to make some good memories, isn't it?"

"Not you too, aunt." Adrian sighed giving up, he could reject Tonks but he could never do that with Andromeda so the only choice was for him to let go, "Fine, I'll go but at least let me change into something muggle-ly and get your hair back to normal will you."

"Hey! I am older than you so you should listen to me sometimes as well." Tonks said looking at Adrian who ran away making faces at her. "Sigh! That kid..."

"Getting tired are you?" Ted came in wearing his official robes, ready to go to work, "Imagine us trying to handle him throughout the year when you were at Hogwarts."

"It shouldn't be too hard, after all, he never says no to mother." Tonks said grabbing the apple by the counter, "You should be more strict with him, mother. After all, he's grown up to be a troublesome prat."

"Don't be rude now." Andromeda said shaking her head, "He's a good kid, it's just trouble seem to always find their way towards him."

Ted and Tonks looked at one another as they shook their heads.

"I have some meetings to attend so I might be late today." Ted said kissing Andromeda, "Don't wait on me for dinner."

"How does it look?" Adrian came out of his room wearing jeans, a hoodie with a tiger printed at the front. This was one of the few pairs of normal muggle clothes he owned since he mostly preferred robes.

"Good as a muggle." Ted gave him a thumbs up.

"Let's go then." Tonks said, "Dad, you can drop us along the way right?"

"Sure but hurry up." Ted said, "I'll be waiting for you in the car."

Andromeda came closer as she fixed Adrian's hoodie, "Be safe."

"Don't worry as I said it was just a joke to scare the neighbors away but I didn't expect them to take me so seriously." Adrian said, "You know, I don't have magical outbursts since the whole training courses the ministry put me through, right?"

"I know but I can't help but worry." Andromeda said kissing his cheeks, "Also we don't blame you for the incident at all, so don't think so much about it and enjoy some time outside."

Adrian nodded hugging Andromeda for a while as he quickly ran out trying to catch up with Tonks who had already left to skip the melodrama.

"Be safe now, and remember to not use magic in public especially you Dora. Just because you're free from ministry's trace doesn't mean you can use magic openly." Ted gave his usual dad talk to both of them as he dropped them off. Tonks rolled her eyes as she Ted left.

"I can't wait to get a car of my own."

"So your clumsy self can crash it?" Adrian said chuckling, "Don't stare at me like that now, will you? Let's go."

It was a very sunny Saturday and the zoo was crowded with families. Tonks bought both of them ice creams as they walked around looking at the Gorillas scratching its head. Spending so many years together he knew Tonks was desperate to show him her Gorilla nose but was holding back since the muggles were around. But it seemed like Tonk's was holding back something more than just jokes.

"What is it?" Adrian asked

"What is what?"

"You seem like you want to say something ever since we came here but you keep hesitating." Adrian said, "So spill it."

"Fine!" Tonks said taking a deep breath, "You know how I want to be an Auror, right?"

"Yes."

"I actually passed my exams and I am now qualified to join the Auror training class but-"

"That's a good thing, isn't it?" Adrian said being happy for Tonks, "What 'but' could there be?"

"The one I am training under is Alastor Moody." Tonks said in a heavy tone, "I wanted to know if I can have someone else as my mentor but the ministry told me that it wasn't possible... I am sorry, you can be upset at me if you want but please don't be mad."

Adrian was frozen in the spot before he slowly stepped back and ran into the crowd leaving Tonks. He didn't know why he ran but just the thought of Alastor Moody made him a bit irritated. Though his mother had mentioned that some foul play was done, the fact that Moody was the one who killed his father didn't change.

He wasn't upset with Tonks by any means, he just didn't know how to handle the news of his father's killer being Tonks mentor at the moment. He blindly ran for a while until he reached inside the reptilian house. It was cool and dark in there, with lit windows all along the walls. Behind the glass, all sorts of lizards and snakes were crawling and slithering over bits of wood and stone.

Adrian looked back to see no signs of Tonks as he decided to take a little walk to calm himself before he goes back to her. He was just walking around when he suddenly heard strange whispers.

A/N: A bit of correction, MC's father's name is Evan, not Eric. I got a bit confused on chapter 2 but now I have changed it so just a head's up.

Also if you haven't figured out by now, it is not a reincarnation novel by any means. So MC is really just a kid so some immature actions might be taken here and there.
