7 A gift from the Malfoys.

"Who was that?" Tonks came towards him as Harry walked away, it seemed she had been watching him for some time, "And did you release that bloody Snake?"

"How could I have done so?" Adrian said shaking his head, "Forget about the snake, you'll be surprised when you know who that boy was?"

Tonks looked curiously trying to guess.

"It was Harry Potter," Adrian said before Tonks could guess.

"Wait, really?" Tonks was surprised as she looked here and there but Harry was long gone.

"Well, yeah but surprisingly he didn't even seem to know he was a wizard," Adrian said, "As for your apprenticeship with Moody..."

Tonks stiffened as the topic was raised again.

"I am fine with it but just don't ever bring him to our house and do let him know that I'll tear off his next leg if he is too mean to y--" Before he could finish his words he was engulfed in a tight hug, where he struggled to breathe until the other party finally let go.

"See, this is why you're so cute." Tonks pinched both his cheeks.

"If you continue further, I'll seriously stop talking to you." Adrian said slapping Tonk's hand away as he rubbed his cheeks, "Let's leave, with the Boa on lose I am sure the place is closing for now."

"It better be good, whatever you're about to show me."

"Trust me on this one cousin." A slender boy with sleek white-blond hair, cold grey eyes, a pale complexion and rather sharp, pointed features said as he and Adrian walked along Diagon Alley.

The boy was none other than Adrian's cousin, Draco Malfoy. Though an annoyance in some aspect, Adrian was really fond of him as they grew up together. Since they were little, Adrian had always treated him like a little brother while the other party did the same.

Adrian was shopping for some robes with Tonks, along with different items that were necessary for her Auror training until Draco came and interrupted them. Draco was with Narcissa shopping for some school supplies in hopes Draco would pay a bit of attention to his studies early on but when the latter spotted Adrian he started insisting that Adrian went back to the Malfoy Manor with them.

Sighing he parted ways with Tonks and started walking back with Draco where he met his aunt Narcissa and they started driving to the Malfoy Manor.

The car turned right, into a wide driveway that led off the lane. The high hedge curved with them, running off into the distance beyond the pair of impressive wrought-iron gates barring the men's way... the source of the noise proved to be nothing more than a pure-white peacock, sturring majestically along the top of the hedge.

A handsome manor house grew out of the darkness at the end of the straight drive, lights glinting in the diamond-paned downstairs windows. Somewhere in the dark garden beyond the hedge, a fountain was playing. Adrian had to admit that the Malfoy Manor was beautifully pleasant but at the same time, it also gave him a lot of inspiration for his own Manor, especially the fountains which he knew he had to get.

Getting off the car they entered the hallway which was large, dimly lit, and sumptuously decorated, with a magnificent carpet covering most of the stone floor. The eyes of the pale-faced portraits on the walls followed Draco and Adrian as they strode past them.

"I really hate these." Adrian complained, "I threw the portraits in my house the moment I saw them. There's just something about creepy looking old portraits watching you, that just makes me feel wronged."

As if the Portraits heard him, they quickly turned their eyes away acting as if they didn't hear the boy just insult them. Draco coughed a little, a bit uncomfortable with how Adrian was phasing his words wondering what corner of the house did the ancestors of Rosier family now lived.

"Oh, Adrian how have you been?" A voice called out to them as they entered the living room, "I hope the Rosier's Manor, has been fairing well."

"The Manor's all good, uncle Lucius," Adrian said doing his usual Noble greeting which consisted of him putting his right hand on his left chest and bowing a little, "I just haven't got the time to celebrate me finally taking on the Rosier family. But when I do you'll be the first one to get the invitations."

"Celebration can be done later, of course." Lucius said with a small smile that gleamed on his usual cold expression, "I heard about the situation with the elves if you want I can send a house-elf to the Rosier's Manor right away to help with the cleaning."

"We've handled the cleaning for now but we do need an elf for future chores," Adrian said sitting across Lucius as Draco hesitantly sat nearby as well, "Please do help me get some elves if you come across a trader."

"Will do." Lucius nodded as Narcissa entered the room with a box in her hand.

"Already starting to talk about politics have you?" Narcissa said sighing as she sat next to Lucius not to make sure of what to think about her nephew who seemed so well fitted for this job, "Here, This should be a good house warming gift from us."

Narcissa handed a box to Adrian who looked a bit confused as he stared at Draco who was grinning at him, "Though it wouldn't be considered much of a gift, I still managed to find something that belonged to Bella, while cleaning my vault which I hope you'll like."

Adrian a bit excited opened the box to discover a silver necklace that had the Rosier's family sigil on it and a beautifully inscribed silver knife that had the Black family sigil on its handle. Looking at the gift, Adrian showed a heartwarming smile as he thanked Narcissa for it.

"Talking about Politics, I do have to thank you for your suggestion against the Crabbe and Goyle family." Lucius said ruining the mood a little but no one dared say anything about it to him, "I would have never known those two idiots were skimming off the top, stealing my money."

"I didn't know much about it myself but it seemed fairly obvious seeing how those two families were leeching off of the Malfoys," Adrian said nodding, "But then again, I am glad my hunch was correct. How's the deal with the Nott family going?"

"Since both, our houses are almost equal we do have certain disagreements on things but this is turning out to be the most profitable business I have done in years." Lucius said, "Since you were the one that came up with the plan and now since you've earned your title, you should join in on the business too."

"I'd love to but with schools coming and me not being around much, I will have to reject the offer for now but do save me a seat when I get out of Hogwarts," Adrian said, putting on a fake show. The production of farming expensive potion material was surely his idea but it took a lot of effort to manage it. Right now he was completely fine with getting the 10% profit he got from the whole business venture they were running, so no way was he going to put unnecessary effort.

"Since young Theodore would be attending school this year as well, I hope you and Draco both manage to maintain good relationships with him," Lucius said agreeing with Adrian to which Adrian nodded happily while Draco's face twisted a bunch of times.
