9 Chapter 9

Jian drank all the potion. In an instant an mana armor covered him , a sword appeared in his hand and a red light was emitted by his body .He was ready to fight with the burning tiger .

Jian launched his attacked . The Tiger was also ready for it so after it dodge he launched his counter attack .

Jian was having a hard time fighting with one hand. However he was still in advantage , because of the previous fight with the guardians the burning tiger was tired , even though it wasn't tired enough to affect his battle in a long battle Jian's advantage will only become bigger and bigger .

Jian used his sword to maintain the tiger at a reasonable distance from him . Also the fire protraction helped a lot with the temperature. They fought for half an hour than Jian finally throw his sword trying to hit the monster however it easily dodge . The moment the Tiger dodge Jian used his spell "Water Snake" to attack it. Even though this spell was still to powerful for the current him after he used mana absorption potion his mana circulation became a lot batter allowing him to use this spell once per day without fainting or getting any damage .

The burning tiger who was already exhausted after a long fight didn't had the power to dodge the attack and was hit by it . The burning tiger start crying as his body was crushed by the water snake . After 20 seconds the spell effect ended letting the tiger half death . However when Jian tried to give it the final blow the tiger let a "Roaw" and attacked Jian .

"It appears that it isn't ready to die!"Jian was really exhausted himself and could bearly stand up.

"It appears I underestimated my opponent ." Jian thought and realize that he was going to lose....

Now that he thinks about , trying to use 9 level 1 wizards to tire a level 3 monster ... what a joke . Also his water snake even though when he used this spell it's power is greatly increased because of his perfect control over it , it was still a level 5 spell , and even with the elemental advantage it wasn't enough to one shot a level 3 monster .

"Hahaha ..." Jian start laughing "It seems that I will die today however I will take you with me !"

Jian had to admit it , there was no way he will survive because there was one more thing that made the monster so powerful . "Core explosion " In this mode the monster would use their energy that lies inside their core to increase their power by up to 200% for up to 5 min however after the process once started it can't be stopped and the monster will die soon after the effect is done and the monster core will also disappear making the monsters not only more dangerous but if they use this mode the core will be damaged or even completely destroyed . The only way to get the core intact is to kill the monster so fast it doesn't have the opportunity to use this mode . If however , the monster use "Core explosion" you can still get a part of his core by killing it before the 5 minutes are over .

Jian's goal was to make the burning tiger use this final mode and to make sure the burning tiger will die with him .Jian prepare one last spell that he will use the moment the tiger jumps on him .

However the burning tiger didn't jumped on him . He was just standing there . He was watching Jian who was even more injured than him and didn't made a move .

"Why , Why aren't you killing me !" Jian said losing himself . He wanted to kill the tiger so much ... this was his last moment of glory before he will die .

The wounds that he received in the previous battle were enough to kill him .... he was going to die from bleeding .

"What the F#$@ is this .. This is my grand end .. I just got reincarnated just to die by bleeding out . "

"I said NO ." Jian stood up . His legs could barely support him and he was standing up with great difficulty .

"Boof" his body felt . He was losing his consciousness.Darkness ... this was all he saw.

"Fire ball!"Jian used his last power to shoot himself with a fireball. He didn't wanted to be ate by some monster so he decided to burn his body .This way there was no way he will become food for the one who killed him .

He woke up

"Why I am not dead .... Why is that i am still alive , maybe I was reincarnated again ?"

Jian looked and he realized he was inside the burning tiger nest .

"How did I end up here ?" Jian thought . It wasn't realistic ... he was supposed to die , someone helped him to survive and brought him here .

He looked around and saw the burning tiger .He prepared to attack however something made him stop. The tiger was using his "core explosion"ability however it wasn't attacking him , the tiger was healing him.

"You , why ...?" Jian looked at the tiger and saw a small crack on the monster core .

"My attacked , it destroyed your core ..... you were going to die anyway in a few weeks ...."The monster core is the foundation of life for any monster so the distraction of it meant only death.

"But why did you saved me ... after all I killed you !"

The tiger didn't response but show with his head to the back of the room.

Jian woke up and walk to the place the burning tiger indicated . The tiger was standing down . His life was coming to an end.

"This is .." said Jian surprised .....

"It's a burning tiger cub .... but i taught the monster were created from mana concentration ... how could a monster cub .... is him your kid ..... you want me to take care of him ?"

"Roaw ...." said the burning tiger approving

"I didn't know the monster could have kids... apparently there are still many things I don't know about this world ."

"Aren't you afraid I would sell your kid or kill him ?"

"..." The burning tiger didn't response

"I get it , you don't really have a choice , if you let him alone he will die anyway ."

"..."

"I get it ,I will take care of him . I will make sure he will have a good life , however I must kill you first.

One because I want revenge for my hand and Two I want your core . Let me kill you and I will make sure you baby will be safe."

"Roaww...." The burning tiger wake up .... went to see his baby ... lick him on his year .... said the last goodbye to his kid and let his head down showing it was ready to accept the deal.

"So you understood what I told you .... So be it ."

"Slash !"One move ant the burning tiger head was chopped

After that he collected all the remaining cores that were in the nest . 43 level one cores and 12 level 2 cores .

After that he took the cub and left the nest .

"Last time when I was down here.. The burning tiger must have heard me from miles away ... he knew I stole his cores however he ignored me to protect the existence of the baby . It appears that the existence of the monster kids is a secret for the monster and they will rather die than let humans see their cubs . This explains why I haven't heard about any monster cub , also there are to many things I don't know for the moment I should keep this a secret."
