2 Chapter 2

As soon as Eveline approached the crystal globe standing on the table the old level 2 wizard took her hand and put it on the globe.

The way it works is simple , in order to open the gate eveline had to circulate her mana through her body and put it in to the glob. If the globe starts to shine then she unlocked her gate if not, she failed.

After 15 seconds the globe started releasing a golden light .

"Incredible , as expected from my Lord daughter , she is very talented it took her only 15 seconds half the time it took the rest of the participants.

"Also the light is so strong she will most likely become a level 2 wizard."

"This is such a blessing for Brassey family ."

"But this isn't all , I've heard that her fiance is even more talented taking max scores to almost every test."

"Yeah , I heard that his grades are extremely high , I think he will become the pride of our city if we let him develop for a few years."

"What was his name ?" "Jian , I think ."

The people around start talking about Jian . The expectation were extremely high and they were all hoping for a new wizard to be born in their city .The number of wizard are produce is equal with the power the city have .

While this was happening, Eveline and her family were celebrating their achievements.

"Well done my daughter , I really made my proud of you today."

"Thanks father, i will do whatever i can to make you happy . "

"That really please me, now however is not the time to stay with you old man , go and talk whit Jian , don't forget he is our future and hope ."

"Of course father, now please excuse me . "

At that time Jian come , having a big smile on his face.

"You did it Eveline !"

"Of course i did it." said Eveline whit a proud voice

Jian was so happy he ignored the presence of her father.

"My lord , excuse my rudeness , i didn't realize your highness was there .

"No need for such formalities , we are family after all , or you don't like my daughter anymore."

"How could i do something like that , you daughter is the most important thing for me."

"Hahaha, good ."

"Jafarov Jian ,please come on the stage."

"Is my turn already."

"Good luck , do your best , I know you can !" said Eveline

"I will become a wizard no matter what!"

"That's what i want to hear , now go on the stage boy, and do your best." The lord said with a smile on his face.

Jian went on the stage and put his hand on the crystal globe.

5 seconds

10 seconds

15 seconds

20 seconds

"Why isn't the globe shining , could it be that it's broken"

"It can't be, the kid before manage to become a wizard"

"Than why it takes so long?"

25 seconds

30 seconds

After 37 seconds the old wizard look at him with pity .

"You failed young one ."

"No , how can this be!"

As he was standing there he could see the faces of the people. They were all very mad and disappointed.

"Young one , please leave the stage ."

"No it must be a mistake, could i try again?"

"There is no point in that , you already wasted all your mana inside your body, there is no way you can unlock your gate now, go home and enjoy your life as a normal human ."

Jian left the stage .

Silence..... "Son ,is ok , your father doesn't have any powers but I can still make enough to raise my family.I can learn you the way of merchants."

"Dad...."

Jian hugged his father, he was almost crying .

"I failed everyone."

"Eveline...."

"That's right i must fin Eveline and apologies to her ."

He started searching for her but she was nowhere.

"Were are you?"

As he was standing in the middle of the street he saw a barouche.

"The lord's barouche." he thought

"Eveline, Stop , please , I want to talk whit you ."

The carriage stopped and a beautiful girl descended.

"Eveline , you stopped , i want to ...."

"Enough , stop before I put my father to kill you."

"Why , I know i did wrong , but why do you sound like you hate me, I am still your fiance after all. "

"What do you think, idiot ! The reason I was with you is because my father wanted you to become his wizard , but now that you failed you are no more than a peasant. Not someone how can stay in my presence , not to talk about being my husband .To think i had to be with you for 6 years , it makes me vomit."

"What are you talking about"

"I am talking that from this moment we are nothing more than stranger ."

But he couldn't do anything , she already entered the braouche.

After that she left .

Jian was just watching how she was distancing .

After a few moments something fell from the barouche.

He went to see what it was, he's steps were slow and small.

After arriving to the place were the object fell he saw something that was very familiar.

It was a crysatl bird , however now it was in pieces .

"This can't be...."

As he was standing there whatching the thing he spent so much time for , and the fact that the person who he loved told him it was only a lie , and that he makes her vomit made him feel only hate . Everything was a lie . Half of his lie he lived in a lie .Everything he believed in was only an delusion.

"AHHH...."

"Eveline ... Evelyn Ahghhh"

"I will make you pay !..Wait who is Evelyn "

"Who am I , What is this "

"Jarvan .... Jian ...."

Both names sounded so familiar to him .

"Ahh so this is how .....This corrupt world."...

As he was standing there unable to move many images were rolling through his head .

The Greatest Wizard .... that's who I am .....
