9 Chapter 9: Ratel's methods

[At the training field]

[Four hours into the training]

[Time: 7:30PM]

"Ratel, did you manage to prepare your special ability?" - Aria asked him as she fell on the ground with sweat all over her body.

Ratel was staying on the ground and was not tired at all, as he didn't even start the training.

"No, I didnt. I'm still thinking about how to start the process. Am I supposed to just use my mana in every way possible to find it out? I don't quite get it." - He said as he sat on the ground as if he was tired.

Aria looked at him with an irritated

expression.

"Idiooot! It's been four hours and you still haven't done anything? Jeez, you are impossible. Did you forget we have a time limit?"

Ratel looked at her and said - "Did you manage to learn a special ability of yours?" - He tried to make himself look like not wasting his energy and being frugal.

Aria laughed silently and replied - "Actually, I didn't learn it yet, but I am on the way of doing so. I think I already released some of my special ability." - She acted all mighty.

"Oh, did you? What did you do? And how?" - Ratel became curious.

"I moved some of my mana to my brain. It did hurt me a little, but it was worth it. For a second I felt like having amazing power." - She explained.

"Didn't you just hurt your brain and made it all in your imagination?" - Ratel made fun of her.

"Damn, why do you have to be so mean?" - She got frustrated and walked away after saying those words.

Ratel saw her walk away and didn't say a word.

"So I just have to move my mana into specific parts of my body? I'll try that out." - Ratel speaked to himself and stood up. He started to walk towards a tree to see Kenso training his muscles behind it.

"Hey Kenso, do you know where everyone went?" - Ratel asked Kenso while he was lifting a huge log of wood. Kenso threw the log behind his back and replied to Ratel.

"Everyone left to train in the environment they like themselves. That's what they told me."

"Oh, I see, well I will also be going now. See you later." - He said as he was walking towards the forest towards the apartment's location.

"See ya, Ratel" - Kenso positively responded.
