Treason (4) -Dirt Eating

Daniel stood quiet looking down at the ground as the soldiers started to beg him to ask the king to let them go. Daniel felt like he was stuck between his sense of justice and friendship however after only a solid ten seconds he hesitantly looked up at Andrew to answer the question.

"I-I think they should be killed."

Daniel had hesitation in his voice but even so, he kept looking at Andrew directly in his eyes. In the sense of justice, Andrew smiled gently.

"Good. If you were to say let them live I would have not killed them but also you along with your group." Andrew said calmly as he patted Daniel's shoulder before walking back to his original place.

Daniel flinched hearing that and the small group looked at each other with a bit of confusion and terror.

Andrew smiled looking down at the kneeling soldiers but for some reason, they trembled even more seeing him smile.

"Victor," Andrew said without looking directly at Victor "No need for a spell. I shall give them the death they deserve myself." Andrew's smile slowly started to form into a wicked smirk.

Victor wanted to disagree not with the part where he was stopped from killing the soldiers but with the part where the soldiers must die but he just could not go against Andrew's back. At least not directly.

Victor hit Oliver lightly with his elbow hoping Oliver would say something about this but Oliver was too mentally unstable to even talk nevertheless having a proper conversation with Andrew would be too much for the current Oliver.

Victor sighed lightly and rubbed his forehead while mumbling something "Your majesty... this will only cause you more problems in the future... how will a king survive with no military power?"

Andrew could hear Victor's mumblings and so he turned around to face him with a very serious face before he spoke:

"Victor... Do you think I will care about military power when I saw these guys killing my people? What kind of King would I be, huh?"

"I understand your feeling my lord but-" Victor sighed softly "But there must be another way. You have the-" Before Victor could complete the sentence he was interrupted by Daniel.

"Lord Victor... you know I respect you and your judgment more than anybody," Daniel said as he walked forward towards them "but this time his highness is right. They are not loyal and if they get the opportunity they will surely backstab Zion."

Victor wanted to talk back but he could not. Although he had points that would prove him right, he somehow felt like no matter what Andrew would kill them in the end thus he just nodded giving up.

Andrew smiled lightly before patting Daniel's shoulder to show him he appreciated his words and turning around to look at the kneeling soldiers once again and say:

"I, Andrew-Z-Caesar, command the soldiers who are kneeling to me to start eating soil and don't stop until you die."

Everyone's eyes widened at the command Andrew gave. Even Victor could not help but look at Andrew in disbelief however at that Andrew just smiled even more freely.

The kneeling soldiers started to beg for forgiveness and asked Andrew to take the command back but it was obvious he would never stop.

Their hands moved on their own and they started to shove the soil they could gather in their hand down their throat.

Some even threw up while trying to eat and swallow it but their hand did not even give them a chance to properly vomit. Before the liquid could properly go out another proportion of dirt was forced down.

The scene was of total disgust but even so, Andrew kept looking with a calm face. He was no longer smiling and that for some reason made his face even more terrifying.

Everyone else other than Andrew was forced to look away by their mind because just by looking at them one could easily throw up.

The real reason Andrew kept looking at them was not solely because he wanted to see them cry and beg for mercy but also because he was getting something from it.

Approximately after two hours the sunset and darkness took over the light. It was already nighttime but still, Andrew kept staring at them.

Some already died having their throat and stomachs burst by the amount of soil that was being shoved down them, however some somehow kept eating but soon even they died of the same cause.

Once Andrew saw the death of every single soldier who we wanted to kill he turned around to look at the others.

"S-" Andrew wanted to speak with them but he was interrupted by a panel that appeared before his eyes.

[{Mission]}

[Task: Kill the soldiers who are disloyal to you (✓)

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Congratulations to the host on completing the mission! The host can claim your rewards by saying "Claim Rewards" in your mind or vocabulary. Thank You.]

Andrew closed the panel and decided to claim the rewards later when he was alone. Andrew then looked back at them who were sitting on chairs.

"How did you guys get chairs-? Not to mention why are you guys sitting on the chair in the road?" Andrew asked as he walked closer to them.

Seeing Andrew approaching they all quickly stood up to show respect. If a king was present and one was to sit while talking to him it would be a great disrespect.

"I arranged them, your grace," Oliver said with a slight bow "And sire... if you do not mind I would like to talk to you."

"I see and I don't mind." Andrew said calmly.

"So- I- Um," Oliver looked nervous and spoke some random words before clearing his throat and talking normally "So, sire what you did earlier was not wise." He said gathering all the courage he could.

"So you're saying I am dumb? I heard before losing my memory that you talk behind my back but now you seem to be even braver. Calling me dumb in public?" Said Andrew with a serious voice.

"N-no, I did not mean it like your highness! it is just I am the head advisor and as the head advisor I must help you in making better decisions for sake of Zion and you." Said Oliver trying to calm Andrew.

"Very well, I do not wish to talk to you then." Andrew said once again calmly "Now let me just go to my castle."

After saying that Andrew started to walk but after walking a few steps he stopped when he heard something very interesting.

"I," said Daniel as he slowly kneeled down with his face towards the direction Andrew was walking "Daniel Adler, pledge the oath of loyalty to the kingdom of Zion and my king Andrew once again but this time with full faith and respect for the sire in my heart."

Andrew turned around to look at Daniel with a small smile on his face. Following Daniel, everyone else also kneeled before Andrew repeating the words of Daniel.

[Error.]

Andrew squinted his eyes at the panel in a bit of confusion 'What's with this?' He thought and kept looking at the panel until the message on the panel changed.

[{Mission]}

[Task: Show your worth and make soldiers pledge their loyalty to you (✓)

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Congratulations to the host on completing the mission! The host can claim your rewards by saying "Claim Rewards" in your mind or vocabulary. Thank You.]

{[Notice]}

[Congratulations! You have achieved something very unnatural. You have cleared the quest by fulfilling both requirements. An additional reward in the form of ability will be added to the rewards.]

'Oh...' Andrew smiled and closed the panels before opening his rewards. Seeing what he had gotten in form of an extra reward he smiled happily before closing all the panels.

Andrew moved his focus back to the kneeling soldiers and said "Stand up... and I also take an oath. An oath to make the kingdom of Zion the greatest kingdom there is, has been, and will be."

To be continued...
