34 Monster Roommates

The new arrival is dark-skinned and stands at 6'7. He looked imposing with his dull-looking face, broad shoulders, and long arms.

'The Claw' I immediately said in my head. This was the nickname given to one of the most impactful and cold-blooded players in my previous life.

He was a 2-time NBA champion and Finals MVP, a top offensive and defensive player, and one of the most clutch ever. His defense can lock down opponents that even the likes of LeBron James worry about him when he's on the court.

Did I also mention that he had the weirdest laugh ever? But jokes aside, he's definitely the real deal. But he wasn't an obvious pick at first, he was not doing much playing the first few months, but when it came to clutch minutes, he would always deliver.

"Hello, you must be our fourth member, I'm Anthony Davis by the way." AD introduced first and Bradley and I followed.

"Hi, I'm Bradley Beal"

"Hello, My name's Quincy Cruz, you can just call me Quin."

After shaking hands, his facial expression still remained stoic as ever and not changed.

"I'm Kawhi Leonard, nice to meet you guys."

AD, Bradley Beal, and Kawhi Leonard are all in the same room. And the fact that they're actually my roommates is mind-boggling when I think about it. If it were the previous me, I would beg them for an autograph. But I'm different now, we're all in the same starting line and I guess it's fair to say that I had a good running start, so I have to fix my mindset and steel my emotions because I will achieve more than them in the future.

The four of us rested in our rooms the majority of the afternoon because of the travel but I and Kawhi had a few conversations to get to know each other better. He's actually not bad once you get to know him so I had an easy time talking to him.

We talked a lot about basketball and our hometowns, he's from Riverside, California so we're really not that far from each other hence the chill mood after just arriving.

I tried talking to him about girls but he doesn't seem to be much interested. Well, he is but he's shy talking about it so I didn't pursue the topic.

He's 3 years older than me but since we play the same position, we got to share a lot of interesting basketball experiences. I could even argue with myself that the way I play resembles his playstyle by a lot adding to the higher shooting percentage.

What separates us aside from my better shooting is his better defense. I could already tell from what he told me that he's a much better defensive player than anyone I've ever faced so I told him I look forward to playing against him.

It was now dinner time so we head to the cafeteria. We aren't allowed to eat outside of the facility without our parents'/guardian's consent so without a choice, we can only eat at the cafeteria.

It's fine though because the cafeteria's centralized so everybody in every age group will be there. This is a good chance to look at the other top-rankers who will be participating in this program.

As we were on our way to the cafeteria building, we passed along a lot of players I recognized in my past life, some of them may not be stars/superstars but they are well-known enough to have an impact in the NBA.

Some of them are Otto Porter Jr., Marcus Smart, Steven Adams, Brandon Knight, and Lance Stephenson. And when we entered the building, I looked around and saw Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Tristan Thompson, and a lot more.

'Damn, it feels like I'm in the NBA All-Stars.' That's what it felt like because of these star-studded groups and now I'm one of them.

The whole training program consists of 150 players in total. Divided into 3 age groups: ages 12-15 is the normal group, 16-19 is the intermediate group, and 20 and above is the elite group because most of them are college players already.

Each group will have 50 players maximum, but this time the intermediate group has been increased to 80 while the normal group is reduced to 40 as well as the elite group down to 30. In total there will still be 150 participants but the distribution is changed.

This is mainly because of the number of intermediate group players that wanted to participate, most of these players have high value so they are given special treatment to satisfy the demand.

We finished our dinner and got back to our dorm, we talked a lot while I was texting Gigi and Anne. My roommates were a little jealous because I was close with two girls but they didn't believe that both of them are drop-dead gorgeous.

Gigi who is a future top fashion model is a no-brainer while Anne resembles someone like Natalie Portman who has this innocent and charming yet sometimes seductive aura that you just can't stop but admire.

Speaking of seductive aura, Anne has been a little more daring in his messages with me. She kept reminding me of how she missed my lips and my touches. Sometimes I would ask her out when summer began and we would go to quiet places if not at the movie theater to make out.

She had been initiating the kisses lately and I could sometimes feel her hunger. I swear I was so turned on that I had to immediately go to the bathroom to vent my frustrations. She also seemed to want to do more intimate things so we agreed on taking things to the next level during our planned summer camp which got me more excited about it.

So back to the previous topic, I showed the guys Gigi's photos first that I got when I met her a few times when she and her family visited San Francisco one time. Then I showed them Anne's photos next and they were extremely jealous that they even cursed at me a whole lot.

I don't blame them though, I am lucky to meet both of these girls but I'm still not certain whether I will commit to any of them. We already talked about not taking things too fast because it's still too early and also because I can't let them know each other yet.

I still don't know how they'll react if they knew I was playing with both of them, well not necessarily playing because I truly cherished both of them but I know it's wrong to be romantic with them at the same time.

Maybe I don't have to be romantic at all and commit to a relationship, maybe I should just have them as fuck buddies. Now that would be the best outcome if ever I don't develop any strong feelings for either of them. I'll just see how this goes, so far it hasn't been too complicated, although I know that time will come, I'm pretty sure I can get past it when it does.

The four of us are now about to sleep and prepare for what exciting things will happen tomorrow.
