2 The Three Great Sages

In this world, people can cultivate. It completely depends on their talent, luck, and effort. There are three main stages of cultivation:

Mortal Stage;

Earthly Stage; and

Heavenly Stage

These cultivation stages gave an enormous energy to a person when reached. Giving them the strength that can baffle the world if the said person has reached the highest cultivation.

For every stage, there are ten grades which are divided into four: Lower, Middle, Upper, and lastly, Peak. The first three parts have three grades each and the last part only has one grade. In the Peak Grade, it is about the ascension to a higher stage which many people are frequently stuck.

Depending on what stage you are trying to break through, it takes a month to a hundred years staying in the Peak Grade.

Average people like villagers, workers, and normal citizens can't get past the Mortal Stage. Some even stuck on the Lower Grades. If they knew that they lack talent and fortune then they will immediately give up the thought of cultivation. Cultivating is really a workout, literally a workout. If they don't have potions, elixirs or any type of material to increase their Natal Energy, other than meditating or physical workout, they don't have a chance to break through the Mortal Stage.

There some who could exchange their life for cultivation. These people gave their all even if they neither have talent nor fortune, luck is the only thing they can depend on. They will try hard to get as strong as possible but higher power takes higher risk to get.

To get their own material, they sought monsters which they can take on. The materials will become either a product or be exchanged for money if useless to the cultivator.

Monsters are monsters and can take away a person's life so easily. Facing against one of these monsters may bring your inner cowardness. Thinking that you can face death but in front of it, you can only run.

However, these are only the people who neither have talent nor fortune. Those who are others are elites who can cultivate easily, reaching heights that these normal people could only envy. What person does not want strength? Strength to survive, strength to be the top, strength to have fame, to have wealth, to have a longer life, strength to protect? Yet, there are limits right from everyone was born.

Those people who have everything to cultivate; great talent, silver fortune, and enormous luck that strives with effort still have limits.

Except for the Three Great Sages of the legends that taught people that not only effort, not only talent, not only fortune, and not only luck can let people past their limits.

Yes, many have already reached the Peak of Heavenly Stage. These are the emperors, heroes, those chosen by fate, generals of million soldiers, rare monsters such as dragon beasts, and great legends but none of them could break the limit of their own cultivation except for the Three Great Sages:

The Sage of Mind - Un Sane:

Unknown from where he came from and where he is now. There is nothing known about him, whether it be written in books or ancient tablets and scrolls. Un Sane only appeared when the Demon Lord tried to dominate the Northern world where it was said where he came from, but it was only speculation.

The Sage of Beauty - Hunny Mei

Daughter of the Heavenly Father, Emperor in the Southern world. Ascended after half a year the Demon Lord disappeared. It was said that she was taken as a disciple by the Sage of Mind when she was sixteen years of age. Considered to be the most talented of the Three Great Sages since she ascended at the age of 21.

The Sage of Power - Lei Ah

Lei Ah appeared at the very first war of humans against monsters who were uprising centuries ago, she is only at the Lower Heavenly Stage at that time but she contributed more than most of the warriors. Wars after wars, she gained strength. Becoming at the Peak of Heavenly Stage after defeating one of the Monster Kings, Shemyn, Lightning that smitten the earth centuries ago, a living Bahamut.

With the human race being against a common enemy, the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western world had an unbreakable friendship. At that time, no wars were between any of the nations.

And so after the uprising of the monsters, she disappeared, secluding herself for centuries and only reappearing in times of need. A true hero that was given many titles by the world such as Guardian of the Universe, Wanderwoman, Ironwoman, Gulk, Darkwidow and many more but was stopped after she beat all those who came up with it.

However, the most interesting about her was that it was said: she is reincarnated from another world.

These three Sages were the only one who entered the Realm of True Ascension. They stepped onto a Realm where no one even imagined, the Sage Realm, higher than the Gods above.

Before the Sage Realm is the Ascension Stage where there are only three grades - The stage of stepping onto the Sage Realm. Before the Ascension Stage is the Path Stage, three grades - The stage of choosing paths to reach the steps. Before the Path Stage is the Gate Stage, three grades - The stage of opening the only gate to choose a path. Lastly, before the Gate Stage is the Heavenly Stage.

Nobody even knew the Gate Stage yet these three were already in the Sage Realm. None of them told the world how they've accomplished such feat but the world was too powerless to force them even if they wanted to.

Only when the Princess of the Southern world, Hunny Mei, entered the Gate Stage three years ago that the world got the hold of the shocking news.

The news made everyone weak and pitiable. The Heavenly Stage which they can not even imagine touching was just a joke in front of this Sages.

At first, everyone was doubtful since who would've believed such a thing. They are rumors at first until the Sage of Mind appeared and defeated the Demon Lord with ease and vanished from this world when the world was about to completely dominated.

Now, they could only remember the Great Hero back then that was now the Sage of Power, Lei Ah! Admire the sage who defeated the Demon Lord with ease and saved the world, the Sage of Mind, Un Sane! Be grateful that a nation's princess got a hold of this and unraveled the bittersweet truth to the world, the Sage of Beauty, Hunny Mei!

People all around the globe worship these three beings. Even making religions about them that were being known to the world just after a year it was made.

Currently, the said Three Great Sages lived quietly on top of the Sky Peak Mountain in the Southern world.

The Three Great Sages were "baffled" when they heard the devastating news of the reappearance of the Demon Lord from the Heavenly Father. When they heard it from Hunny Mei.

The Sage of Mind was chosen to accept this mission and continue what he had done before.

Unfortunately, right after Un Sane set out, the main target of the mission came to the Sky Peak Mountain herself, the Demon Lord, shouting for revenge.

Lei Ah and Hunny Mei couldn't do anything since they have thought that Un Sane was already a hundred kilometers away and didn't choose to inform him since they can't.

However, they didn't know that Un Sane had kept it easy and just planned for a smooth journey and physically jumped off from the Sky Peak Mountain. With his landing, he met a flashy carriage that was surrounded by knights in armor on their warhorses.

The horses kept neighing as if having a seizure and a hundred knights that were in a unified formation suddenly couldn't control themselves with their whole body shivering.

Un Sane stared at them blankly as the chaos was happening.

Horses bumped to each other while neighing desperately, wanting to escape from something.

'Is being autistic now a trend for knights and horses now?', Un Sane thought honestly but after a while, he remembered something, 'Ah, this is my fault!'

He closed his eyes and focused, 'Should I keep myself at Heavenly Stage?', he shook his head, 'No, no, I need to try and not stand out. Maybe Middle Mortal Stage, Grade Four, lowest possible. If lower then I'll easily be picked on the road... Okay!'

Click!* not long after he closed his eyes, Un Sane opened them again and the messiness in front of him gradually settled down.

The knights looked at each other and then at the warhorses in confusion as to what they have felt just now.

After getting back to their senses, one that does not look like a knight but rather an old butler immediately asked the flashy carriage, "Your Highness, are you alright?", with a very humble and polite tone.

"Do not worry unnecessarily. I should be the last one to fall.", a deep voice resounded inside the flashy carriage, "Calm yourselves and continue."

The Butler found it a bit dumb for himself to ask such a question. The person inside the carriage is many more time stronger than any of them there. But who could blame the butler for being too worried? Inside the carriage was the most important person in the Southern world, the Heavenly Father!
