In the year 2037 the planet Volantis appeared in the Milky Way Galaxy behind Pluto, starting the great phenomenon known as the Great Expansion. The Great Expansion brought magic and technology to humanity, but not all gifts come without a price. The price humanity paid was Delfiends, ever evolving monsters that sought to consume and destroy mankind that is until the Slayers were formed. Slayers are mankind's defense against the Delfiends and ever growing threats they face honing their magic abilities through their diamond like crystals called Sparks.
On a desolate planet laid a city that was brought to ruin as it set ablaze with everything destroyed or burning in a sea of flames without a soul in sight as the had all evacuated before the destruction rained down. Though the city wasn't completely deserted as various types of Delfiends prowled the city streets looking for potential victims that were left behind.
A lone tower stood erected in the middle of the city but it was no worse than the city as destruction was wrought on all of it floors. Bodies littered the halls and office of this once grand building as their blood painted the walls burgundy. Glass, marble, and other pieces of the building fell as the building cracked from the base upwards, signaling its collapse any moment now.
Gazing from the rooftop stood a figure in a tattered hooded red cloak soaking in the scene of the city's destruction but if one could have their point of view they could see that they were looking beyond the destruction and the bellowing smoke. Beyond the smoke stood a pair of glowing green eyes with a mouth full of fangs bared as it inched closer to the tower that barely remained.
The figure scoffs "Huh, some World Breaker she turned out to be aye Drak?". A bright shine appeared from the figure's face as a snake like shadowy figure emerged and appeared behind them. "World Breaker?! You call that garbage anything close to likes of me again and I'll leave you to rot in future! Besides her power is false and stolen, she'd never reach my level of potential!" the black smoke spoke as if it had its feelings hurt.
"Ahahahaha, damn I was just joking but I do look forward to devouring her flame after this." After speaking those last words a rainbow colored aura appeared around the figure as they prepared for battle. In the midst of the power it abruptly stopped and dimmed as the blood pooled from the side of the individuals mouth. The shadow glared at the figure in contempt but said nothing.
'Still acting tough with all your injuries, just a fool even in face of death you bluff. Especially after all that he did to you, you still want to help him. I dislike you...at times.' Even in spite of making decision he wouldn't the shadow revers his master for being different. Though these thoughts fleeted quickly.
"ROOOOOOOOOOAR!!!" went the beast as it charged to the center of city in complete disregard for its allies as it neared closer.
"Ready?" asked the cloaked figure as they stared into the mouth of the beast towering over them as it neared? A small sigh escaped the shadow's mouth as they nodded in silence. Then as they looked to their left they could no longer see their master standing. but looked over the edge as they could see them falling at high speeds to the ground.
The figure stared at the fleeting view of the top of the building as they accelerated to the ground. 'Huh I guess this really is the end for me isn't it? I hope Drak isn't too mad about all my bluffing, I held out long as I could.' These were the last few thoughts the figure had as the closed their eyes as they lost consciousness before impacting to the ground sending dust and debris everywhere.
