9 CHAPTER 8
The bear got even more confused and didn't understand what these humans wanted to do, while it was looking at them vigilantly, Lou Yan approached it.
"Hahaha! Bear, this boss wants you to be my partner, let's fight!" He excitedly proclaimed.
The bear got confused for a second but when it sensed the "Battle Will" that Lou Yan was exuding, it instantly understood what he meant, it hesitated and pointed at its cub.
Lou Yan looks at the frightened cub, he understands the meaning of the gestures, he returns the favour by telling it to fight in a farther distance.
The bear looks at him, seeing his earnest
look and clear eyes, it hesitantly picks its cubs and gives them to Shadow.
Seeing that they are not being harmed, it seems to be relieved and returns to face Lou Yan.
Both of them look at each other, after a moment of silence, both let out a battle cry and charge towards each other.
BOOM! They collided, Lou Yan was pushed off by three steps.
"Hahaha! Take my punch!" *BAM* After experiencing the strength of his foe, Lou Yan laughs out loud and punches with his entire strength.
The bear got hit in the face, it got dizzy, Lou Yan saw his chance, he grappled its neck, he exerted all his strength, his muscles bulged so much they looked like they were about to burst, he choked the bear really hard.
The bear struggled to escape his lock but couldn't, in just a few seconds, it fainted.
Shadow nods at him, he knows that he was exhausted after the great battle, it might not have been long but he had used all of his strength to win.
He tells Ban to rest, the latter orders his partner to search for food, Shadow also requests the same to Glutton.
A few minutes came by, Glutton and Sniper returned, they caught a few Horned Rabbits and also an Ironhide Boar, Shadow skillfully skinned them and barbecued the meat.
When the food was cooked, he split it off, he gave everyone a share, including the bears and the goblins, when Glutton and Sniper were hunting, he had been conversing with the goblins, asking them if they were other goblins in the area.
He knows that they are a timid race that is actually at the bottom of the food chain.
The goblin answered excitedly, they gestured to him where their home was.
They begged him to bring food because the goblins community were actually starving.
This is the reason why they dare to hunt the bear, it is because they are driven by their starvation.
He earnestly promises them, he is more than happy to bring a couple of goblins back to the village.
They might not be immediately accepted but he can just build a separate place for them to live in, through constant exposure, he is sure that the humans and them will get used to each other.
After eating, their group rested for a short moment, they then set off into the goblin village.
Lou Yan had already signed the contract with the bear, he had been excitedly celebrating his newfound partner.
The bear's stats and compatibility with him even surprised Shadow, because of their bond, the bear shared an Innate Ability called [Enhanced Vitality] with him.

What surprised him even more, was the cub, its stats cannot be processed or it does not have that much attribute because it is still in the process of awakening but he can see its Race and Monster Grade can.
It was actually a Volcanic Valiant Bear and its grade is actually on Pseudo Epic.
"Lou Yan, I think you should give the cub to your little sister, it is simply terrific!" He suggests.
"Really?! Aniki, I never thought that this little guy actually has great potential but even if you didn't tell me, I will still give this to my little sister, after all, Tank and I are now partners, his family is my family."
The three of them were chatting jovially, they talk about what they will be doing during the next following weeks.
Shadow wants to enhance the Village and appoints Lou Yan as general. Lou Yan will train the soldiers during the rest, Ban wants to enhance his compatibility with Sniper, he doesn't want to be the only one that does not have an Innate Ability.
While they were chatting, they arrived at their destination, the goblins' home.
Goblins are a Race that depends on hunting to obtain their food, their intelligence is not that high.
The goblins that the group had captured were released to negotiate with the rest of their tribe, they are not afraid that they will escape because they are confident that none of them are able to threaten them.
The captured goblins brought the food inside the cave, after bringing the food, they started talking to an old goblin.
"Human, We thank you for bringing us food, may I ask what you want from us?" asked the old goblin.
Shadow smiled, he finally found a goblin that can speak the human language.
" I want you and all the goblins inside to swear allegiance to me, as long as all of you are loyal to me, I will treat you well." He proclaims with an awe aspiring aura.
The old goblin thinks about it and agrees, they have been starving for a long time, they lost many of their warriors every time they hunt, it is better to be under a powerful ruler than wait for their death.
"Strong Human, May I ask what is your great name?" He asks in a humble manner.
"Oh, Pardon me for not introducing myself, I am Shadow Eligan, the village chief of Flowing River Village." The two behind him look at him with admiration.
"You are actually a village chief of a proper village? That is quite a surprise, looking at your appearance, you are clearly very young but to accomplish such a feat." He does not finish his words, he is truly shocked.
He takes a deep breath and kneels "I, old Darwin, represent our tribe, to swear allegiance to you my lord."
Shadow is happy, deep inside, he is dancing gleefully, with this, they will definitely obtain a number of civilians for their village.
Calming himself down, he coughs and asks "How many goblins are inside the cave?"
"There are seventy nine of us there are at least thirty six warriors, the rest are children, women and the old goblins, most of our warriors are injured."
Shadow nodded and ordered "gather all the goblins, follow me back to my village, when we get there, tell them to behave."
The old goblin nods seriously, he cannot pass up such an opportunity to thrive.
"Lou Yan, Can Tank run?" He asks, he knows that his friend's new partner is injured before.
His friend nods, it seems that the Innate Ability, (Enhanced Vitality) is not that bad, it is able to restore stamina and slightly increase the regeneration of the ability holder.
"That is great! Ride Tank back to the village! Inform the villagers about the arrival of the goblins." He quickly instructs.
Lou Yan rides his new partner, he is carrying the cub, the two of them run back to the village.
"Ban, We will be moving with the goblins, I want you and your partner to scout the surrounding area for potential danger, if the two of you can eliminate it, then, kill it, bring Glutton with you."
He turns to the old goblin "Old Darwin, brief the rest of the goblins, tell the warriors to come to me, also, I want you to translate the words I will say."
He waits for Old Darwin to finish briefing the goblins about their current situation.
After the briefing, Old Darwin brings the thirty six goblins that they consider their warriors.
"My lord, this is all the warriors in our tribe, What is it that you wish to convey?"
"We are leaving this place, I had already sent one of my friends to scout for potential danger but there are only three of them, so, there might be danger not discovered by them, I want you to surround the weak goblins, in case of any unexpected situations."
Old Darwin translates his words, without hesitation, all the goblins agree, they return back to their group and encircle the rest of the goblins.
"Your lordship, they accepted your order." Old Darwin bows to him.
"Good! Tell everyone that we are going to move." He waves his hand and walks in front.
All of the goblins pack up and follow after him, the weak ones and the children are in the center, the rest are around them, while the goblin warriors are in the outermost part of the circle.
They arrived at the village, it was already close to night time, they only met with little dangers, it seemed that Ban really did his best.
When they are at the village gate, Shadow saw Lou Yan waving at him.
