11 First Impressions (Tim Drake x Reader)

Prompt: It's time for the moment every couple dreads...meeting the family! But Tim's family is not like most...

"I'm sure they'll love you, (Y/N)" Tim remarks, slipping a red t-shirt on over his head and straightening his long, coal-colored bangs. You rest on the edge of the bathtub and shrug your shoulders.

"I'm not worried about whether or not they'll like me. I'm more concerned about the kind of people they are," you reply.

He sits next to you, wraps his arm around your shoulders, and kisses your temple. "I have to introduce you to my family sometime. We've been together almost a whole year now. I've put it off long enough and all my brothers are pestering me to bring you. I can't get through patrol without them asking about you."

You nod determinedly and stand up. "Well...we better get going. We don't want to spoil your "good boy" reputation by being late."

...

You step out of the car and gape in amazement at the Wayne Estate. It looks like something out of a Jane Austin novel.

"You know, it looks just as cool on the inside," Tim grins, leading you by the hand through the front door into the foyer. You are still completely amazed at the lavishness of the house. A giant wooden staircase takes up most of the entry and the second floor is entirely open to the first. Hanging from the ceiling is a gold and crystal chandelier and the walls are decorated with famous paintings and suits of armor.

"Good afternoon, Master Drake," an older gentleman dressed in a tuxedo addresses your boyfriend. Tim responds by hugging the older gentlemen.

Tim then turns to you. "(Y/N), this is Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce's butler and close family friend.

"Lovely to meet you," Alfred greets with a polite bow.

"You as well," you reply warmly.

Tim leads you down a hallway left of the staircase and through a pair of mahogany doors into a small sitting room. Gathered in a circle by the fireplace is a large group of people, who you assume to be Tim's family. They face you and immediately you recognize the tall handsome man in front as Tim's adopted father, Bruce Wayne. He smiles cordially and shakes Tim's hand. You see three other boys, two of whom are staring at you as if you're a supermodel. The third, who looks to be about twelve, simply scowls at you.

"Everyone, this is my partner, (Y/N)," Tim says introducing you. You smile and muster a shy hello. The tallest of the boys with a touch of white in his hair and a "J" scar on his cheek, chuckles and slaps Tim hard on the back.

"Well, what do you know? Little bookworm's finally growing up!" He then turns and gives you a wink. "The name's Jason. I'm Tim's more attractive older brother and, if you want, you can call me that."

Tim readjusts his shirt and rolls his eyes.

"Don't mind him, he has middle child's syndrome. My name's Dick, it's nice to finally meet you," the second older boy says. You shake his hand and laugh.

Three girls begin to make their way over to you. The redhead in the wheelchair is the first to greet you.

"It's great to finally meet you (Y/N)! I'm Barbara, Dick's girlfriend."

"Hello, Barbara!" you reply.

You recognize the short blonde girl hurrying over to give you a hug. "I'm so glad Tim plucked up the courage to bring you here! I'm Stephanie Brown, but I think we've met before."

"It's nice to see you again Steph," you return. Stephanie is Tim's best friend. She was the one who introduced you two.

"Oh, meet our newest family member, Cassandra Cain," Stephanie says introducing you to the dark-haired girl. She waves and gives a small smile, but remains silent.

You believe you've met everyone, but then spot the younger boy scowling near the back of the room.

"What about him?" you whisper as the others carry on their own conversations.

Bruce rolls his eyes. "Please excuse my son, Damian. He doesn't respond well to visitors."

You grin playfully. "Well, let's see if I can change that."

You cautiously make your way over to him. Everyone watches you anxiously.

As you approach, he looks at you from the corner of his eye. "You must be Drake's new beloved," he states nonchalantly. "I've been hearing about you constantly. You're all anyone speaks about. I've grown quite sick of it."

You bend down and whisper in his ear, "That makes two of us."

You give him a smile and, for a moment, he seems to grin a bit as well.

"Alright everyone, Alfred told me lunch is ready," Bruce says, herding everyone out the door. You walk up to Tim and kiss him chastely on the lips. "That wasn't so bad."

He wraps his arms around your shoulders and says, "Careful...lunch isn't over..."
