The Great and Lonely: Kai

In attempt to get her toaster after it has been stolen, Aubrey accidentally entangles herself with the highest supernatural beings ever existed~ gods. These gods are dangerous, irrational beings, who have been banished for their sinful and diabolical acts. And they still remain atrocious in their actions when they find out the "missing piece" is hidden inside the body of a 19-year-old college student, Aubrey. This "missing piece" belongs to Kai— the highest god, the pure representation of evil who is incapable of emotions other than anger and grief. He wants to get reunited with his missing piece, which means he'll do anything to get closer to the girl. But his brothers and sisters are determined to hide Aubrey from him, so as to keep the missing piece safe, before Kai gets his hands on her. Things start to go sideways as affection, greed and lust arises among the gods, especially when Kai's half-brother starts to fall in love with Aubrey.

is something people can never do

"YOU HAVE TO STOP THIS."

Aubrey's eyes show complete confusion as she stares at the fairly tall goddess with short brown hair that just reaches her shoulders. "What?" Her voice breaks, "What are you talking about? Stop what?" She raises her voice to be heard over all the aggressive grunts and swearing that is going around the booths.

Lara pants hard as if she had run down to the festival, "Don't do that with me." She glares, "You know exactly what this is and why it is happening."

Aubrey jolts when she hears a loud bang, she immediately looks past Lara to see Kai crashing into a booth, destroying it and breaking the green painted woods into two. Her eyes widen when she looks back at Connor's strong stance; he looks more powerful and more dangerous than he normally does and that frightens her.

"I- I'm…" She stammers in confusion and fear. Lara showing up out of nowhere and gripping her hands tightly doesn't make her calm down either, "I'm not sure I do."
