My name is Nova, I'm 15 I had long brown hair with bangs and I work with a company where I go out and fight.

I know I look like someone who wouldn't hurt a fly but I'm top of my class for fighting.

Every year we get to pick an outfit that would fit us and we all have to wear something that covers our mouths, what did I have?

I wore a simple white button up black leggings boots and my favorite a red scarf.

Ever since I was a baby I have been working with this company, the company is my home, and it's my family.

I was never like the other kids, I wasn't human I had ears like a fictional elf.

When I was about 5 this new girl joined, her name is Kanna.

She had short ginger hair and wore the same basic outfit as me.

Let's just say we instantly became best friends.

Now enough backstory, let's get into the actual story.

Me and Kanna trained our entire life for our first mission and it is finally the day.

However I was still in bed, I slept in and forgot to set my alarm.

"Nova.. Nova.!" Kanna whispered into my ear sending shivers down my spine.

I woke up still half asleep.

"Good morning sleeping beauty."

Kanna teased as I looked towards my alarm clock.

10 o'clock .

"HOLY-" I shouted as I jumped out of bed and rushed to get dressed.

"Yeah surprisingly you slept in, I had to run all the way over here" Kanna said as I started getting dressed "well yeah, I thought I set my alarm clock for 6:30."

I said "why would you wake up at 6 o'clock ? We all had to wake up at 7:30!"

Kanna replied "I know that, I wanted to get in some extra training before we got our mis.."

I cut myself off "OUR FIRST MISSION! OH MY GOD HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THAT?!"

I shouted as I grabbed Kannas hand.

Kanna lightly screamed as I started running. "Nooovvaaa! We aren't supposed to get our first mission until 12 o'clock!"

Kanna said as I stopped in my tracks.

"We aren't.?"

I said softly as I turned to face Kanna.

"I can get some extra training!"

I said with excitement.

"Wait why do YOU need to train? You're top of your class!"

Kanna said.

"I know I know, but come on! It will be fun! Just you and me training like the good friends we are!"

I nudge kannas arm with a smile.

"Okay. Fine, let's go."

Kanna replied as we started heading towards the training hall.
