1 We Are Just Humans

- "Ocean Bank". It's been a while since I been here-

- Oh really, why did you stopped coming here?- The girl next to me said.

She has light pink hair, a short tank top with the word "MONSTER" in it, two different bracelets one in each wrist, long black jeans, black and white "Lanz" and a ring like piercing in the bottom left of her lip. Her name is Jasmine Cruz.

- I have a lot of memories that I hold dear in my heart that took place in here-

As we both walk through the entrance bridge of the park, she stares at me.

- What happened? Did I say something wrong?-

- No- She responds rather quickly.- I am just curious of what you said. I want to know more-

We entered the park and start to walk around in search for the benches that are usually in the back with the view of the river. And since its really dark and no one is really around I chose to tell her.

- This is the place I first fell in love and the last place I got to see her-

She looked away and pointed at the benches. We sat down and look at the view.

- Hey, Yuto, I have a question-

- Okay, ask away-

- If you could wish for anything in this world, what would it be?-

Since it's Jasmine that I am talking to it's alright for me to be honest with her. I have known her since she was born.

- If I could wish for anything in the world, it would be to be able to see her one more time and tell her that I love her-

Jasmine taps my shoulder, and as I turn around she wraps her arms around my neck and presses her lips against mine. This isn't the first time I have kissed someone but this kiss feels warm and special, like if it was the first time. As she pulls away her lips from mine, I can't help but stare at them.

- Yuto I am so sorry, I don't know why I did that- Her face turns red as she says that. She must be really nervous.

- Hey it's alright, don't worry about it-

- Please Yuto forget about this-

I was going to say something to her until we heard from the speakers of the park.

THE PARK WILL CLOSE IN 10 MINUTES. PLEASE START TO EXIT THE PARK. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

- We should probably get going Jasmine-

- Yeah lets-

As we start to walk to the exit, we heard a strange voice like if it was coming from every where.

~ You two are not going anywhere~

We start to look around to try and find the voice and it sounded like a normal voice, unlike where they talk through the speaker. Then a human like figure appears in the distant. Then it starts to move closer to both me and Jasmine. I step in front of her in case it starts attacking, and then we see it. It's a boy, a really young boy.

- Hey where are your parents?- I asked concerned for this kids safety.

~ They will not appear at this moment, however you two will meet them one day~ The boy says as he walks closer to us.~ Boy with the tattoo of a rose in his right arm and scars in his back, and the girl that was born with pink hair and was alone since a baby, I have to give both of you an item from the gods. Both of you were chosen by a different~

He tosses something at me. As I catch it, I realize it's a silver ring with a design of a rose.

~ This is the gift to you boy from the god of wind, Quetzalcoatl~

Then he tosses something at Jasmine but i couldn't see what it is. Then I realize her face. The face that she made when we first met. Tears. Tears where coming down from her eyes to the floor. As I try to reach out to her, she hides the thing that the boy gave her.

- Hey Jasmine, are you okay?-

~ Don't worry she is fine, now that the last two have finally been chosen, the game can start. The mission for both of you is to fine and kill the others that were chosen by a god. Who ever wins will get a choice, either to wish for something except to replace a god or to challenge the god of gods and become his successor. There are twelve others~

- What the hell are you talking about?- I screamed at the boy. He doesn't reply so I walk to him to punch him.

Then he disappears with no trace of him. Then I hear his voice.

~ By the way girl, you were chosen by the goddess of harmony, Hotei.~

- Damn it. Who the hell was that?-

I turn around and see Jasmine with her face looking at the floor I rush to be by her side but then she says something that confused me even more.

- How are we supposed to do this? We are just humans-

Then for some reason I start to remember the first time I saw her. The sad girl with tears in her face and a beautiful smile.
