Suspicion

A week has passed, meaning Zeira will be back at the Academy tomorrow. Since the incident with Gaia, Caiz and Fier have been constantly tailing her. Like today, Gaia wanted to be alone because it's Saturday—no classes. But here she is now, annoyed by Caiz dragging Fier along, who seems forced to come.

"Damn, you don't need to drag me, Caiz!" Fier exclaimed as Gaia opened the door. Gaia raised an eyebrow at the two, trying to figure out what they needed from her.

"Come with us, Gaia," Caiz said. Gaia stared at Caiz for a few seconds, about to close the door, but Caiz blocked her and entered without saying a word, taking a seat on the sofa.

Gaia sighed while giving Caiz an evil look for turning on the TV. She then glanced at Fier still standing by the door. "What are you doing here, Fier? Get Caiz out of our room. Besides, boys are not allowed in the girl's dorm, right?" Gaia asked Fier, who responded only with a sigh.

"We're the royalties, Gaia. That's why we're an exception," Caiz answered with a smirk, raising both eyebrows. Gaia sighed, realizing there was nothing she could do.

"I don't have any plans of leaving the Academy, Caiz. So, you guys can leave our room with Zeira," Gaia said. Caiz just smiled at her, propping up her feet on the small glass table. Gaia approached her and flicked her on the head.

"Ouch, Gaia! Zeira said you should come with us. Come on, Gaia, I'll get scolded by Zeira because of you." Caiz said, wincing from the flick. Although Caiz had a point, Gaia was sure Zeira would scold her. So, she had no choice but to agree.

"Okay, fine. I'll just change my clothes," Gaia replied. She then turned to Fier, who was still in the same position.

"You, come inside. You look like a guard there." Gaia didn't hear Fier's response as she went into her room. Meanwhile, Caiz continued laughing and teasing Fier.

"Close the door for me, Guard. Damn, Fier, I didn't know you were a guard."

Gaia just shook her head at what she heard. She quickly dressed because she had already taken a shower earlier. Gaia chose a dirty white three-fourths shirt, paired it with pants, and wore white Converse shoes.

"I just wore a dirty white three-fourths shirt and pants paired with white Converse shoes. I tied my hair and just put on powder and lip gloss. Then I adjusted my necklace; she can't go anywhere without it. Gaia looked at herself in the mirror before leaving the room. Caiz immediately noticed her.

"Finally, you're done. Let's go!" Caiz said while stretching in front of Gaia. Gaia noticed Fier's gaze on her, so she raised an eyebrow at him, and he quickly averted his eyes. Caiz laughed at what she saw, annoying Fier.

"Shut up, Caiz," Fier hissed. Gaia was confused by their actions. She faced Caiz, and she mouthed, 'What's wrong?' to him. They exchanged shoulder shrugs. Caiz approached Gaia and pulled her out. Some students saw Caiz leaving Gaia's room, and they were surprised.

"Leave them alone, Gaia. They're just jealous because you have a handsome companion, and he's the most handsome," Caiz grinned, pointing at himself as he said the last word.

"What a confidence," Gaia retorted, which made Caiz burst into laughter. Gaia just rolled her eyes and decided not to answer back.

"Your eyes..." Gaia looked at Fier when he suddenly spoke. He was looking into her eyes.

"Why?" Fier caught Caiz's attention, and he stopped laughing. Caiz also examined Gaia's face.

"Oh yeah! I remember now. Your eyes are gray, Gaia. That's so cool," Caiz commented. Gaia felt like she was drenched in cold water upon hearing this. 'Gray eyes…' Gaia mentally said. She closed her eyes as images flooded her mind. Fier noticed Gaia's change in reaction, so he quickly admonished Caiz.

"Shut up, Caiz. Gaia, are you okay?" Fier asked Gaia. They approached her immediately. "Uh, yes, I'm okay, Fier," Gaia answered, even though her nose still hurt a bit. Now she wonders how hard Zhyke's chest is. It felt like she hit a wall.

"Where are you guys going?" Zhyke asked Caiz.

"Oh, we're going to the mall. We're going to take Gaia out," Caiz replied with a smile. Zhyke's gaze shifted to Gaia. He looked her up and down.

"And who said you could leave?" Zhyke countered Caiz, raising Gaia's eyebrows.

"What? Why can't we go out?" Caiz asked Zhyke.

"We have something to do," Zhyke reasoned. Caiz was about to speak again when Zhyke gave him a sharp look, so he stopped.

"Okay, I'll just accompany Gaia," Fier suddenly said. Zhyke looked at Fier for a long time, as if they were having a conversation through their eyes. Gaia looked at Caiz, intending to talk to him. She didn't want to confront Zhyke and Caiz. However, Gaia became more confused when she saw Caiz grinning as if he understood the situation. Caiz noticed her looking, so he approached her and pulled her.

"Let's go, Gaia. Those two will follow anyway. This will be entertaining to watch," Caiz said enthusiastically. Gaia was completely bewildered by what was happening. However, she didn't bother inquiring about the problems of the guys around her.

Before they could exit the gate, Fier followed Gaia and Caiz. They encountered Lily's group, who seemed to have plans too. They all looked at them, especially Fier. However, Lily's gaze was fixed on Gaia, seemingly stunned while staring at her. Gaia noticed and furrowed her brows, making Lily look away as if nothing happened.
