140 Through the Door (4)

Petina petted Lucky as the blue dragon gave her the run down of Rhea's behavior. "So she rid herself of Leena because she believes I killed her mother?" She looked over the the Chen's scaly features. "But why Leena? There must be something more to it that 'just because'."

After they found Rhea in the other dimension they brought her to their hiding spot in the Al-peak mountains. "She won't speak. I believe you will have to retrieve that information yourself, my lady." Chen bowed and made his way out to feed Hip and Jacko.

"What is so special about Leena?" Petina patted Lucky's head one last time before leaving him in her room to make her way to Rhea. Rhea looked defeated, Kizuato had locked her up in the Minsho's other dimension without food or anyone. Petina was a little surprised to see the young woman grow up to appear as an identical twin to her Dragon Elder mother.

When Rhea saw Petina enter the room her eyes became murderous. "You. I gave him the key to kill you not to set you free." Petina narrowed her eyes.

"That's why you failed. Kizuato cannot kill me, I was meant to be so much more. Your mother knew that and she betrayed me." Petina walked closer to Rhea and knelt down to balance their eye levels. "Why did you send Leena to the other realm?"

Rhea smirked, finally something she had over Petina. If she cared this much she might have something over Petina's head. "First... Release me."

Petina shook her head. "You seem to think you can make some sort of wager with me. You remember how I induced your mother to sleep before she died?" Rhea's expression froze. Petina was no ordinary person, the first Fiena was no joke and she had locked herself away to be preserved and undisturbed. "I can just as easily do that to you... you betrayed me. Your own blood line."

Rhea swallowed hard with her now dried mouth. "She has the ability to use Yùlóng, just like you."

"Really? That's quite something." Petina was shocked but he expression remained calm. This Leena person was truly gifted.

"Linx? Linx are you okay?" Nyla and Leena were both panicking as Linx fell after those confusing words he said. Leena couldn't figure out what was going on but no one else moved except for her and Nyla. "Linx please wake up." Nyla started punching his chest and tears fell from her face.

It was like one of Leena's dreams, where the darkness took whoever the person was with. Except this time it was her losing someone... for the second time. Every time in her dreams she failed to save anyone, she backed away from Linx's body. 'You have to save him Leena, you can do this.' The voice in her head told her she could but deep in her heart she was afraid.

It took some time but eventually Leena knelt next to Linx's body and placed her hand over his forehead. "Kavira, help me." Kavira followed Leena's lead, Nyla moved out of the way with her tears allowing her to kneel on the other side of Linx's body.

Leena closed her eyes quickly healing him as fast as she could. Whatever was happening to him this wasn't good. She wasn't sure what was happening but it must've been some time coming, Linx was developing Izak's personality but it wasn't syncing with him so it basically became like a second persona in one person.

The pendant could be one of the many reasons this was possible. Her loneliness and the pendant's willingness to serve her every need to protect her may have harmed Linx in a way. Leena breathed in deeply before releasing a strong jolt of white energy from her body to his. In an instant his eyes opened and he glanced around to find everyone still here.

"You all need to go. Now." Leena stood up helping Linx to his feet. "I promise I will see you all very soon." She hurried them to the portal and bid them farewell.

Linx had just recovered and he couldn't really grasp what had just happened but he didn't argue. she said she would come, so he believed her. His last expression to her was a hopeful one.
