100 The Dragon Elder (7)

Leena passed the last challenge with flying colors as did Kavira. They found each other in the dark tunnels breathing heavily. "Glad to see you made it out." Kavira was sure that Leena would make it through, it was herself she was worried about.

"How are the others?" Leena was of course concerned about Linx, more than everyone else but she didn't even know the situation with her own group.

"I wouldn't know. Haven't seen them since before the second test." Leena nodded to Kavira's answer. "Same."

The wall began to break away, an entrance was created leading them into a darker place than the one they were in. Unfortunately, Kavira didn't have to strength to fight but if they had to Leena would be better suited to win. "After you."

Leena took the lead into the dark room producing a flame big enough to see the large cave surrounding a small body of water in the middle. Kavira reached for her dao broadswords, Leena couldn't wield magic and carry weapons so she crafted a sword out of her flames.

Kavira was impressed, never had she considered making her power into actual weapons. She simply relied on having them at all times instead of making weapons herself.

"You've both made it. I am pleased." Both girls remained calm to the voice, a woman's voice. It was definitely a change from all the male dragons they heard speak. "Move forward. I won't hurt you."

The girls moved forward together cautiously with their weapons. "My name is Rhea, I am the Dragon Elder. Tell me what you seek."

The room was still dark and the only light was the one radiating from Leena's fire sword. "I wish to find my dead body, to know what the prophecy means and to help Leena find her cousin."

Once she spoke the lights in the room appeared, a thrown made of the dark rock that surrounded the cave was presented with an elderly woman. Her silver hair was quite a sight, it was long and it complemented her burning ember eyes. "You are both quite interesting. The talking crystal was right, you are worth but you are missing something Kavira. You're dead body is standing right in front of you."

Kavira's eyes opened wide, Leena? How is that possible.. She is very much alive. "You see, the reason why you were turned to stone for sixteen years Leena was because your soul was split into two. Kavira appeared to you as a child when you crossed over and Dracon made her a host to the other part of your soul.

You were never meant to cross into this word, but when you did an order of events began to circle. Kavira, you can't remember because you choose not to. The pendant around your neck knows that and is impeding you from achieving this."

"I don't understand. Why wouldn't I be able to journey into this world? My mother told my cousin that I could find peace here." Leena didn't understand, Kavira was her. A piece of her that she lost for crossing into this world.

"Amira lied to you. Dracon's mission was to come back to this world and avenge his people. Your cousin was too weak, her greed and jealousy led her to bring you here." The Dragon Elder stood up, she said a few words in an unknown language. Every single memory that Leena and Kavira had lost was returned to them.

Kavira's memories from when she died to when she was reborn and how she traveled to stay alive on her own after she ran away from her abusing foster parents. Leena remembered flirting with Izak as a child and telling him they would be married someday. She remembered brining back a few dead animals from death.

"Who is this Dracon person?" As happy as Kavira was to finally know who she was, this was the second time that the elder mentioned Dracon.

"He is the only son of the third triplet. The one with a cursed soul." The Dragon Elder sat back down on her seat. "I'm sure you've heard of him, right Kavira?"

Kavira said nothing. Leena spoke instead. "You are saying that this Dracon person followed my cousin and I into this world. My soul was split and now part of me is inside Kavira. Why? I was asleep for sixteen years, why? I came here under false notions, why is this happening to me?"

Leena was so enraged, her weapon disappeared and her body produced blue flames. She was angrier than she had ever been, someone was playing games with her life. It was like she never had control of her own story. "My dear child. You soul was split because at the time you din't have the power to remain whole. Kavira was already from this world so she was left alone to walk this world until she used your powers which broke the half of your soul that you gave to her.

You remained a stone for sixteen years because not only did you have to wait for your soul to heal but you needed Kavira's half of your soul to be fully functional on it's own." Rhea remained still in her seat. "I have lived for thousands of years, never have I ever seen someone with so much potential."

Leena was angry but there was no turning back. Everything that happened, happened. Her only goal now was to find the peace her mom so wished for her. Her and Kavira both deserve this much.

"I will train you both in the ways of the ancient Fiena." Rhea stood from her seat and walked over to the two girls. She placed her hands over their dragon eyes marks. "Welcome home."
