5 The Door of Viaje (5)

After dinner the deserts were placed on the table, variations of different fruit tarts along with flavored ice cream. Everything was delicious, Amira ate a little bit of everything she didn't want to seem rude or ungrateful.

"Amira, tell us about yourself." The madam ask, she didn't seem ill natured from what Amira could see but she still had no idea why they really invited her here. She glanced over to she the elegant woman's hazel eyes looking right at her with a warm smile. Her long straight black hair resembled her sons and without a blood test it was difficult to see who is a Minsho and who is a Lokast.

"I'm seventeen, I've been a worker to the Feng house since I was six. I do most of the cooking as the head chef." That was it. That was her whole story, she was no one special at least, she swallowed her pride and refused to say more.

"Which one of you is the Fiena, you or your sister?" The Master Vadesh didn't hold back. He towered even in his seat with a strong build a white beard and a set of white gray hair. His jade eyes bared the since of no time unlike Kreighton, he was no fool. Amira knew that as soon as she stepped in here she wouldn't be able to leave.

To keep herself from feeling overwhelmed she placed her fork down, her thoughts came towering down on her. If she can't escape then she'll just have them bring Leena here by their doing. Once she's here they'll go from one corner of Botus to the next to find the stones to the legendary Door of Viaje. There will be no other way, untrained magic can't save her now. She needed time to think and come up with a plan that was solid enough to work so she could leave immediately after Leena arrives.

"That's an odd thing to say, if we are sisters, shouldn't we both be Fiena?" Amira decided to test the mans patience. She wasn't sure what this family really wanted with a Fiena but she wasn't just going to rat out her sister so easily.

Kreighton pushed himself up from his seat taking a slow stroll towards Amira. He pricked her with a needle he was holding on to. A small drop betrayed her, her blood was that off a Minsho and so her blood appeared clear.

"Master Feng, we have come for the girl known as Leena." The banging on the front door woke up the servants in the middle of the night. Vadesh soldiers had stationed themselves to practically surround the house to prevent any escape.

"Master Feng, Vadesh soldiers are stationed outside of the Mansion. They're looking for Leena." Chrysta entered the masters room worried, what had that brat, Amira, done to have the attention of such a powerful house.

"Inform Izak, have him bring the girl." Chrysta nodded and turned away to proceed with the masters orders.

The lights were lit up in the living room by the time Master Feng reached the soldiers waiting for his appearance. His workers had prepared tea and remained at a distance from group of soldiers. "What brings you fine soldiers to my home?"

Presenting a curious front, always works best to find all the answers you need without the extra hassle. "We have come for Leena. Her sister wishes to see her in the House of Vadesh."

"I see. Why didn't she just come home?" Master Feng reached for his cup of tea.

"The Vadesh have taken interest in marrying the young master Kreighton and Amira. They have informed me to give you this in exchange for them both." The soldier placed the bag of gold coins in front of Master Feng. "For the work they will no longer provide you with."

The soldier had no idea what this man was thinking, he wasn't sure if he should ready his soldiers for a battle or just go get the girl. He seemed calculative, as those these workers actually meant something to him.

"Master, Leena is no where to be found. I have asked people to help look for her but Izak seems to be missi--."

"Tell them to stop looking, she now belongs to the house of Vadesh. They can search for her if they'd like." With that being said Master Feng sipped his tea placed it on the table with a gentle bow he took his leave.

A couple of hours later, dawn was beginning to come over Botus. The little girls eyes fluttered open and her hearing was taking in an argument happening at hand. "You didn't have to sleep her, it's almost like you kidnapped her."

"I had no choice. She wouldn't have left with me if she knew that her sister was the one putting her in danger."

"Amira would never put her in danger. They must have her locked up and forced her to do something she didn't want to do." Eric was done trying to reason with this fool. Izak knew nothing of Amira, she was kind, gentle, sweet, and she would do anything for Leena.

"You really are an idiot in love." Izak was the first to turn and see the little girls eyes opening. He bent down and placed his hand on her forehead. "How're you feeling?"

"Where's Amira?" He realized that she heard his conversation with Eric, he wanted to make an excuse to get her away on her own but she would never go for it. Her sister was her only family, she loved her.

"Amira is at the house of Vadesh. They're keeping her there until they find you. Last night their soldiers came into my house looking for you but i had already taken you awake. Once you feel better we'll go in and break her loose." Leena inhaled slowly, closed her eyes and the blinding radiant light appeared around her body like an aura. As she laid there motionlessly, she felt the energy surge her entire body. Total relaxation and replenishment. "Why do they have her?"

By the time she opened her eyes four surprised eyes were looking directly at her. "What was that?" Eric's voice held such curiosity. They ignored her question from shock.

"Her powers are finally blossoming. This is the real reason why Amira is stuck at the house of Vadesh." Izak explained further, holding his eyes firmly with Leena's. "You are what's known as a Fiena."

Her body shot up. "That's impossible, Fiena's are known to be extinct. They were eliminated fifty years ago by the four great houses."

"Yes well. Your mother was one, and that's why her and your father were killed. Protecting you and your sister." How did Izak know so much? Amira would never talk about their parents to her, was this why?

"I've known about Amira's powers, but why didn't I ever know about my own?" She had so many questions she wanted to ask but time was precious. Her sister could be in danger for her sake.

Izak had the answers, however, he wasn't sure if telling her would make this situation better or worse. She was still young, it was hard to predict her reaction. "Minsho's have a power known as boku, their secret ability. Your sister is a Minsho and her secret ability is to erase memories of those that are weaker than her.

It wasn't that you never had powers. It was that your sister took away your ability to remember them so you wouldn't use them."

Of course, her sister would do anything to protect her but hearing that felt wrong. If anyone else found out about her powers Leena would be taken away from her so why didn't Amira trust her. "Let's go save Amira." Maybe then she'll have the answers she seeks, maybe this time there won't be silence.

There was no doubt in her mind that it was her turn to save Amira but she needed to know the truth and nothing but the truth
