4 The Door of Viaje (4)

"Welcome Miss Amira to the house of Vadesh." The worker greeted her immediately after opening the door to the castle inspired mansion. "Right this way Miss."

The worker led the way down the left corridor past the stairs that opened up around the walls of the entrance. Every stain glass window within this corridor reached the very top to bottle with luxurious art designs. Her beautiful ember eyes sparked with delight until she came to a halt in a small version of a ball room. There were three doors connected to this room from the right, one on the left and the one where she had entered from. The light in this room was radiant, five crystal chandeliers that look like it was designed as a draped dress for the most beautiful woman. Water droplet crystals of all shapes and sizes covered the whole dome ceiling.

The walls carried artistry of both mist and flowers, symbols of the Vadesh house powers. This house was a mixture breed of both Minsho and Lokast. Lokast were known as people from the ground, they can manipulate the ground, flowers and hear everything that nature can hear including whispers.

"I hope it is to your liking." A males voice came from the right entrance on the far side startling Amira out of her awe moment of the scenery within this small ball room.

"Young master." The worker bowed to the man with Jade eyes, his dark complexion gave way to such delicious fantasies to many women. His ego wasn't a force to be reconned and his body oozed of a just aroma. "This is Miss Amira."

The worker was introducing Amira, giving chance for the man to walk around the table and take ahold of her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Amira. I am Kreighton, the only son of the current Master of the Vadesh house."

As handsome as he was, Amira felt indifferent to his charisma. Her heart belonged to another and her body was simply acting accordingly but she relaxed accepting his kind gesture. A simple smile formed around her thin face, she was afraid of seeming rude. After all she wasn't sure was she was summoned here after all, nothing but speculation. "Nice to meet you young master Kreighton."

The worker informed them both that both the Madam and Master of the house Vadesh would be joining them for dinner shortly. The elderly worker bowed before taking his leave through the door he directed Amira from.

Kreighton took the time to show Amira around the small ball room, explaining every single piece of artwork carved into the wall. From the design, to the artist, to the meaning, it was all fascinating to Amira. One piece in particular captured Amira's eye, it was a small capture of a portal on the background of a great great great uncle of Kreighton's whom was known as an adventurer. In the picture there was a portal like oval which interested her. "What's that?"

Amira pointed towards the light blue oval in the painting which rather amazed Kreighton. Not many people would be curious of what's beneath the surface of his great great great uncles handsome festures. "That is the Door of Viaje. This was the last time anyone saw my uncle, it is said he sacrificed his wife just to open this door. Apparently you must give what you love to pass through this door."

Of course. Amira's curiosity settled for the time being. She wasn't willing to ask too many questions for the sake of being cautious in front of these people.

"Why did you bring me out here?" Leena couldn't help but die of anxiety as she followed after Izak in the woods.

"We are almost there." Leena was a bit surprised, she followed Izak after she witnessed him put Eric tos.

Ever since they were young he would torment Amira which frightened Leena. He was about five years older than Leena but other than displaying his disgust with Amira, he had never done anything to harm her or Leena.

"It won't be easy explaining to Eric that I followed you after you put him to sleep. He'll come looking for me if we don't hurry." As a Grocan, Izak had the power to extinguish his flames and give off Hydrogen Cyanide to knock people out for some time.

"Don't worry, you'll be safe at home by the time he's awake." They journeyed a little further into the woods, a beautiful area of a small lake came into view reflecting the magnificent light of the full moon above. Every single star shined brighter here then at the mansion, giving Leena's flesh a smooth glistening dazzle under it's light.

"We are here." Izak stopped right in front of the small lake, only a bit over half a mile in diameter. He smiled observing Leena's small adorable face light up with amazement.

As stunning as this place was, she wondered why he brought her here. "I know that at midnight it's your birthday. So I brought you here to give you this." And that answered her question.

Izak reached into his pocket to pull out a pendant with a moonstone emanating a divine light. She could feel it's incredible power tug her goosebumps to pop out. Why was he giving this to her? She doesn't even possess any magic, this pendant would be useless in her hands.

"I found this necklace on one of my journeys with the miners that work for my father." He unclasped the small hook on the back of the chain and walked behind Leena, for a twelve (soon to be thirteen) year old she was pretty close to average height. He locked the pendant around her thin neck side stepping to stand in front Leena. Her ember eyes followed his tall muscular body that moved around her, she found herself lost in his deep blue eyes face to face. "You're still young but," He bent down on one knee and took her hand. "I wanted to make my pledge to you. With this pendant, I promise to one day make you my wife."

Leena was beyond shocked, what was happening. She didn't like this guy, the man she liked was lying in a sofa asleep because of the man standing in front of her. Her heart tightened with the scene unfolding in front of her, confusion hit her like a truck. Did she subconsciously know this was going to happen and that's why she followed him? This didn't make any sense.

Everything about this situation felt impulsive to her and she wasn't an impulsive person, yes sassy but always cautious. "One day I will protect you, one day I will be by your side, one day you will love me." Izak remained on his knee.

"I... I don't understand." She took the pendant into her free hand and watched the stone's beaming light sway to her touch. Leena was afraid and Izak could feel it. He lifted himself up from his knees and towered over her once again, taking her body into his. "I would never.. "

"Please stop." Leena pushed him away without any force. She was confused, she was just a kid for crying out last loud. If he hadn't let go and kept insisting things would have gone worse for him but he knew he needed to give her space. She doesn't remember him, she couldn't.

They stood in silence for a few moments, listening to the voices of the nature surrounding them. Izak's calm face hid his hurt expression from her rejection but she didn't give him the pendant back which was a relief. He knew that Amira had told Leena false tales about him. Instigated fake situation to make him always seem the bad guy, there was nothing he could do at the time but pledged himself with this pendant. His sense of security that she was finally starting to feel what she once knew.

"I'll be making my way back now." Leena's head hung low turning her body from the way of which they came. He focused on her and followed right behind her.

"Happy Birthday Leena." He said waiting until she was at a distance to say the words he's said to her for years from afar. She was thirteen now and as much as Amira will try to hide her from her powers they will grow. It was Izak's hope.
