3 The Door of Viaje (3)

"It makes no difference. She is the eldest and I decide that you should marry her before the Vadesh decide to take her away from us." Amira stood right outside of the door listening as the Master and Izak argue over his potential marriage with her. "You don't have to love her, you just have to be with her for the sake of our future."

Such nasty words to hear when we are given choices in our life but in this world freedom was a word only given to those powerful and wealthy. She didn't mind though, she would endure a loveless marriage if it mean that she...

"She's disgusting. I won't marry her, I would rather be homeless and without an inheritance than to marry her." Heavy footsteps grew closer to the door into the hallway, Amira's sadness didn't give her time to react. As soon as Izak opened the door, he spotted Amira eavesdropping their conversation.

A dark smirk appeared on his face. "Once a rat, always a rat." His final words in the dark hallway and he was gone.

The elder stood oblivious to Izak's hate towards Amira, she was every mans dream, beautiful, classy, hard working and young. Why was he so adamant about waiting for the younger brat, Leena. He sighed realizing that Amira may have heard more than half of their conversation. "Sorry about him, he doesn't know what's good for him."

Amira's silent posture stood in place acknowledging Master Feng's words. "Come inside my dear."

Apart from being found at a young age, the master had never treated her or her sister in an ill manner. His respect for them laid very forward, all the abuse came from those that worked in the household. Amira relaxed into the chair the master offered her to sit in across his desk. After taking a seat, the master faced the huge top to bottom window that stood at the opposite side of the entrance to the room. The master was big on scenery and as he to spoke he gleamed at the night sky.

"The Vadesh know who you are. I'm not sure how they got ahold of such information but they have." The hairs on the back of her neck suddenly stood up, Amira's eyes widened.

"How do they know about us?" Amira's body slowly began to fade, in a failed effort to suppress her emotion her body began to shift from Minsho to solid human mode. This slight mistake would have cost her her secret but the master suspected nothing. It was then that the master walked over his desk and took a knee by her side.

"Amira you have to relax. Hone in your powers, burry them deep within and tomorrow you will be fine." The master didn't stand until he had completely calmed her down. "You and your sister are Fiena after all. She must never know, you are burdened with protecting you both."

In silence, Amira nodded. A Fiena was a female with unlimited power, taking shape of every kind of magic there was in this world and sometimes one was gifted with beyond imaginable power. Fiena's were sacred and known to be extinct. Amira's mother was a Fiena, her mother and father were murdered for running away and trying to live a normal life. A secret Amira kept away from Leena, from the master. Her life filled of carefully composed lies. "I've been using my boku every time she begins to realize her powers. I'm afraid one day it won't be enough. My powers aren't trained and she keeps asking ques--"

"Just remember what's at stake." Taking another stroll around his desk the elder took a seat in his chair ready to tackle some work. "Tomorrow you will go to the House of Vadesh, dine and say nothing, do nothing. Your mother was my best friend but I won't be able to help you or your sister if anyone were to find the truth."

"I guess it is true." Izak sat in the living room surrounded by darkness. "You went to the Vadesh family to try and reach an agreement. Yet you act all innocent as if you don't know what's going on."

Amira froze in place realizing that sexy voice was coming from the couch on the far side from where she stood in the mansions living room. "I would do anything to protect my sister. Why would I do something, anything to harm her?"

The mans presence had stood up from the couch, walked towards her. Only inches away he slowly began to burn around his arms giving his beautiful eyes the light she needed to feel desire. Every step he took closer to her she felt a tug so deep within, it was tantalizing.

"You're incapable of real love." Izak diminished his flames and took his leave. Amira's body fell to the ground, feeling an emptiness, a coldness in her heart. Ever since she was a child every time she saw him she grew weak. However, time and time again his loathing towards her gave her a feeling he wanted to hurt her so she suppressed her feelings.

He would never really speak to her, just say mean comments here and there before walking away from her. She took a moment with a hand over her heart to calm the racing beat that rang in her ears. "I am, and I do." She said softly pushing herself up off the floor making her way out the mansion and to the cottage.

"What time will you be back?" Leena asked Amira. A day had come and gone quickly, she sat on the the love seat in their cottage living room watching Amira ready herself with a satin royal red dress for her grand dinner with the Vadesh family. Her hair was down and floating around her back while her makeup was natural.

"I'm not sure, I've asked Eric to come watch over you again tonight." Leena let her head gently fall onto the love seat cushion behind her.

"He loves you you know." Leena couldn't help but state the obvious. She looked over at Amira to see her struggling to zip up the dress the master had sent over for her to wear.

"I do know but he has only ever been a friend to me." Amira continued to struggle for a second longer giving Leena incentive to help her. The dress felt perfectly snug on her delicate frame, it was exquisite with a single golden strap hanging over her right shoulder, complimented her ember eyes.

"You look beautiful." Leena's warm smile made Amira smile. "You're sure going to make one of those Vadesh men want to marry you!!" Leena joked but she knew it was possible. Her sister was at the age of marriage, any older and even the old wrinkled men wouldn't look at her.

Amira giggled, she said her goodbyes and took her leave as soon as Eric appeared. His stunned body hadn't move from the same spot since he laid eyes on Amira. Unfortunately for Leena she couldn't hide her annoyance to watching his drool slip out. "Can you be anymore predictable?" The little girl stated. She picked a pillow from the couch throwing it to his face to help wake him up from his deep thoughts.

They had spent some time watching TV and eating snacks. Knock knock. "Who is it?" Leena called out wondering who it could be. It was getting very late and Amira should have been back by now but she would never knock to come into her our house.

Knock knock. Eric stood up, opened the door to find Izak standing outside, "I've come to take Leena out on a walk." His devilish smirk appeared in Leena's eyes, giving way to a trail of goosebumps throughout her body.

"I'll never go out on a walk with you." Leena walked next to Eric ready to close the door when Izak took ahold of it.

"You might change your mind, come... I have a surprise for you."
