20 It is time... (7)

"Here. Put this armor on. For now I will teach you how to wield/train with a sword and a long sword." He held the breast plate up harnessing it on Kavria's body. It was definitely heavier than the regular tunic she was wearing but it didn't bother her. She had intentionally worn a short tunic to help her movements while training, Clain handed her a steel skirt that carried a flattering design on the breast plate. He took the time to link her shoulder pads while she adjusted the skirt to her waist.

"There we go." Clain stood back to take a glimpse of what she might be missing but he stood in awe. She was beautiful, she hair was pushed back into a braid but little hairs decided to escape which gave her a very child like feel.

"I think I'm missing shoes." Kavira felt a tad bit naked after putting on this armor and not having her toes covered. "Put on these shoes and then meet me out on the sandpit just out this corridor." Clain pointed to the shoes that were left on the bench at the right side of the room, he proceeded to leave her and walk down the corridor when she took a hold of his hand stopping him on his tracks.

"I know how it feels to be different. I promise to try my hardest so that you don't have to worry about me." Kavira let go of his hand, sat on the bench and carefully adjusted the shoes to her fitting.

It didn't take long after for Clain to walk off into the sandpit. On the far side Nyla and Linx were looking at the display of swords Clain had asked the help of the Fei house to bring out. "You're going to be training her with real swords?" Linx was surprised that Clain would chose this method of training. He was under the impression that he wanted to protect her but it felt like he didn't really know what to do with her.

This is rich, he spends all this time training to protect her and now he wants rid himself of her. Nyla smirked with her own thoughts forming in her head. If there were ever a chance to present her superiority in combat it would be now, she wasn't just going to let this little girl walk in and take what she's always want.

"She isn't like most people. She may be starting from scratch but I believe within a year she may be able to surpass me." Clain waited for Kavira to walk out the armor shed and join him. She appeared shortly after, wearing a dazzling smile on her face.

She was excited, nervous, anxious and joyous. Once she was by the table of swords she stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Clain completely aware that the other two people were focused on her, examining her, observing her.

Clain had asked them to join and help him figure out the best course of action as far as training her would be. "On this table there are both swords and long swords, you may pick whichever weapon you want to learn to master first." Kavira moved her gaze throughout the table, however, there wasn't a single weapon that called her attention. She could see that these swords were brand new and elegant but the blades felt empty to her.

To her disappointment she looked up to find two nine ring dao broadswords forming an X on top of the house displayed as a trophy. "What about those?" Kavira pointed to both dao swords, these called to her as though they had been waiting for her to some day return. They felt oddly familiar to her, the same way the dragon staff did.

"Those have been in my family for generations. Most people don't even notice them anymore." Master Fei walked up to the four standing by the weapon table. "They must recognize you if you recognize them. I'll have someone bring them down for you."

"But father-." Nyla was ready to protest when her father put his hand up. He knew the pain that she must feel not being able to wield the family heirloom but it wasn't there's to begin with, they were simply guardians of the treasure, that would one day fined its rightful owner.

"Continue with your training Kavira I will have the swords presented to you by the end of the day." Master Fei walked off to the side of the pit and into the house. Nyla felt like she was about to explode, everything inside her boiled but she knew she was just being rash. She honed in her anger and turned to face the girl. She'd better be all that she's been spoken to be or else I'll kill her myself.
