130 A Holiday Chapter (3)

Leena and Amira shared many holidays together, it was a norm for them cater to the Feng master and son before celebrating together. This time around almost every worker in the household was sent home. Only Amira, Leena, Eric and two of the elderly workers stayed behind for the holidays. It was snowy in Botus.

Unfortunately this was Leena's least favorite time of the year. The snow, the cold, it reminded her of the family she didn't have. Amira was her family but even Amira couldn't fill the whole in Leena's heart.

She was twelve and soon another birthday will come where she is stuck working here. Amira had gonna out into the woods, she said she was going to gather some wood for our small fireplace so I didn't complain.

A soft knock was heard from the door. "The doors open Amira. I didn't close it." Leena was too focus on what was being showed on TV to go and open the door. The door opened slowly. "Maybe I should come more often if the door is always open."

Izak's ridiculously handsome face appeared in Leena's eyes as soon as she looked over. "What're you doing here?" Leena leaped onto her feet, ready to scream if she had to.

"I just cane to invite you to have dinner with my father and I." He smirked at the little girl.

"You mean the dinner that Amira and I have to make. No thank you." Izak laughed to the little girls witty comeback. She was precious, he could imagine what she would grow up to being but nothing was ever good enough to suit her.

"What my sister means is that we would love to." Amira appeared behind Izak with the wood and strolled past him to place the wood into the chimney.

Izak looked at Amira with a unexpressive face and returned to his house. "Why did you say that we would go?"

"It's always best to be with other during the holidays Leena. Especially with people who take care of us."

"Excuse me, I just need to use the restroom." Leena stood up and made her way down the hall. "Leena."

Izak caught up to Leena. He was almost a whole foot taller, reminded her of Eric's height. She was completely crushing on Eric but he never noticed her. "What is it?"

Izak smirked, everytime he was with this girl he couldn't help but feel happy. "I bought something for you." Izak passed Leena a small box gift wrapped. "Open it when you get home, don't let Amira see it."

He gazed into Leena's eyes a little while longer before slipping back to the dining room with everyone else. Leena quickly used the restroom and returned to the room. "Well this was all a lovely time spent together. Would anyone like to sing?"

Master Feng had been drinking a bit along with the elderly workers, he was feeling exceptionally jolly. He started singing a song, it was all cheers and laughs for most of the night until the three elders fell asleep.

The other four continued drinking their hot chocolate "Should we wake them up?" Leena wasn't sure if they should leave them here.

Amira shook her head. "Let's leave them here, wanna go make a snowman?" Leena normally wasn't into this stuff but after hearing what Amira said Eric became excited and she accepted.

They went on out into the night in the back yard rolling up snow balls and throwing them to each other. It was about an hour later before they all sat around giggling. "Wow that was fun. Wasn't it Leena?" Izak was trying to get the girl to be fond with him just like she used to be but after he found out that Amira was erasing her memories he tried to keep his distance.

Leena was lightly breathing with her head on Amira's shoulders. It was the calmest he had ever seen her. And he was happy to have spent this night with her.
