Chaos academy

Excited, Jordan practically pulled his nana home. don't look down on Joannas agility. She is a Spíritãz she doesn't age like humans and doesn't grow stiff with age... plus she's only 45. For humans, 45 is an old age as they don't usually live past 50, there are plenty of diseases that can't be treated even by light attributed magic.

Spíritãz can also get sick but not many diseases can cross the huge species gap between humans and them.

Anyway, although most humans lives end at 50, powerful magicians are able to extend their lives for another 200 years, some powerful light mages can live up to 500 years old.

As they got home, the family sat down for a meal, even uncle Robert is home today, to hear the news of his magic attribute. Of course they didn't ask about his martial talent, the array would kill him as soon as he steps into it. The professors even made sure to set up a magic barricade that would prevent him from going near the array, in case of any accidents. They have dealt with Robert perfectly fine, they should be able to deal with Jordan.

When hearing his attribute the family was happy for him, but they couldn't hide their worry, they knew how difficult order attribute magic is to learn. However Jordan reassured them that they don't have to worry, if he finds it impossible he'll try a different attribute. all though his talent won't be as strong he still should be able to use other elements.

Talent is measured as Poor, mediocre, above average, strong and very strong. Having a poor main attribute is actually the rarest as someone almost always has a attribute that they are attuned too, However mediocre main attributes do have their perks as it means that all their other attributes are similar, making them a jack of all trades.

Some elements clash well or badly such as order and chaos, with Jordans order attribute so high his chaos attribute is most likely very poor. In the case of time and space the other attribute compliments each other meaning if ones time attribute is their main attribute, then space would likely be their second.

With their worries gone, they also announced that Robert had just brought his own place and will move out tomorrow while he is at school. Although he was sad they won't be living together he know that he can visit Robert anytime he wants.

He and Robert were best pals often getting into schemes with each other. Well nana starts the schemes, Jordan joins them and encourages her to go further while dragging a usually unwilling Robert around with him, and somehow he has the attribute of order.

One such adventure had them locked up in a holding cell for one night for constantly playing peek-a-boo with a patrol officer. Well, that and trespassing, running through peoples houses. the annoying thing is the walls of government buildings are often inlaid with a protective magic barrier making it impossible for Spíritãz to pass through.

Well technically they only got locked up once for the peek-a-boo game, but he became kinda friends with patrol officer Jenkins... After the 3rd night in the holding cell.

His parents do get angry all the time with their juvenile son, but Jordan can't help it if he gets bored spending most nights in his room staring at a blank wall. He's still an internet addicted geek who misses google.

After dinner Jordan went up to his room with a candle and spent his night reading a book, a usual routine for a boy who doesn't need to sleep.

When he got up the candle has burnt out and he has already reread his book back to front twice. Today is his first day of school, that he can't keep himself calm, he quickly changed into his school clothes and rushed down the stairs like a stampeding rhino. He almost forgot to eat breakfast. You maybe wondering why Spíritãz need to eat if they don't have a physical body, well they have a semi-corporal body, they still need energy to exist. Spíritãz used to absorb the spirit energy of other creatures to live, however this was extremely inefficient, so they evolved to digest physical food as well and convert the chemical energy into spiritual energy to survive.

After a rushed meal to the chuckles of family, Jordan ran through the door onto the street, then using the lightness of Spíritãz he ran at an unbelievable speed charging through all objects and people in his way until he arrived at his school. What should have been an hour long run was reduced to just 25 minutes, although he did gain the confusion of many pedestrians believing they were about to be run over by a speeding wind mage.

But he had made it early to a locked front door, Jordan really should have seen it coming, who told him to come to school at half 5 in the morning?

But surprisingly he wasn't the first one there.

Standing behind him, eyes wide, were a Lion-kin and a Treant. These were Friday a strong talented metal mage and a boy he can't be asked to recall, the only reason he remembers him somewhat is due to him being before him that's all.

"You guys a little early too?" Jordan smiles cheekily.

"Yeah, I wanted to be the first one here... But she already beat me.." The Treant replied with a dejected smile.

Friday didn't even properly respond, just a slight nod.

"So, I'm Noah Bardo of The Bardo family, we specialise in cultivating herbs, it is a pleasure to be acquainted with you Friday Williams and Jordan Adams, Friday you look spectacular and Jordan simply dashing. May I ask Jordan, why you did not participate in the last task."

"wow, Noah, don't talk like that, it's creepy. And secondly, guess." A grin stretched across Jordans face as he walked through the front door into the academy leaving a stunned Noah and Friday behind, touching up the door.

"You know stroking the door does not unlock a locked door..." came the voice of a pretty teacher behind them.

Inside the academy Jordan found a poster containing everyones classes, after a quick glance, he ran to his magic classroom knowing it's the first lesson he has today.

The academy works by splitting the 1000 students into 2 groups of 40 classes 1 group starts the day of 3 hours of magic classes while the other has 3 hours of aura classes, an hour for break before the classes swap over for the day. This timetable carries on with no weekends until the weather gets too hot or too cold to go outside, Miras extreme weather leaves the city blanketed in meters of snow or a drought so hot that leaves Leons needing to shred every other hour, this only last a couple weeks. The only other break they get is a smaller one week break during Chaos cities peace day, To be honest its just a one week celebration of the cities continued independence.

The 40 classes contain around 10-15 students per class of people with the same talent. The only exception to this rule, is the people who managed to gain a talent of strong or higher in either test, are all placed in an elite class; Jordan is no exception.

All students will learn how to use all 12 attributes, but they are encouraged to only focus on one and only know the concepts and small low tier spells of the others. When one learns more attributes than they should the power and difficulty of leaning stronger spells is greatly affected, a jack of all trades is truly a master of none.

For Aura classes students will learn about their bodies and how to move them best for combat, from what Jordan can tell is that it's basically P.E.

today Jordan ran through his classroom door into the empty classroom, perfect. This is just what he wanted this way he can choose to get the best seat right at the front this way he won't be body blocked by some Orc sitting in-front of him. With that Jordan waited silently for 2 whole hours, there's a lot of patience required to be a nerd and Jordan has lots of experience waiting in line at movie premieres and cosplay events.

Soon the door was unlocked and the professor and students walked in, surprised to see a spot in the empty seats of their classroom already taken by a little boy who looks human but paler and shimmery, with dark smoke coming of him.

"Finally, can the lesson begin now?"
