11 Seeing 'Family'

Aloph slowly made his way out of the forest and leaving a trail behind him, blood. The blood from his arm flowing continuously. He looked forward and yelled out; "Status!"

Instantly, a rectangular box appeared and showed his stats. He looked through it and found a new addition to it.

►Health: Injured, bleeding. Time till death: Twenty minutes.

I'll die in twenty minutes? Awesome!

Aloph closed the status screen and picked up his pace. Along the way, he would look around to see if he could find any material he could use to patch himself up. His shirt was a no go, it was recently in the ground. That was just asking for an infection!

Unknown to him, outside the forest and in the village there was a large group of villagers huddled around a poster. On the poster it said;

"Find young child, Cedric. Potential locations: Forest."

The group of villagers began murmuring. One villager pitched in.

"Isn't that the kid that died recently. Why would the family put up a poster for him?"

Another villager added.

"Didn't you hear the rumors that Cedric was up and walking again? Some couple saw him walking towards the Forest of Emptiness"

Suddenly, as the villagers were discussing the poster, a giant of a man walked up to the group and dropped a bag on the ground, making a rattling noise. From the sound of it, it was copper coins! And quite a large amount too! Before anyone could even react to the noise of the coins, the man yelled out!

"If you won't do it out of the goodness of your heart, then here! Take these damn coins! I just want my son back, no matter if he's undead or whatever!" He said with a stern expression as he stared at the other villagers. The villagers looked at him, stunned before dawning smiles. One old man from the group said with a smile towards the giant.

"Aha, we're always willing to help. Always so stern, you ought to calm your nerves or you'll become wrinkly old and grey-haired like me. ahah." The old man laughed at his own state as he walked over to the bag of coins, picked the bag up and tossed it back towards the giant. "We don't need these coins to help one of our own!"

"Yeah!"

Mostly every villager yelled out in unison! The ones who weren't happy just kept their mouths as to not gain the hate of others. The villagers then geared up and started walking towards the forest. The giant was left stunned. He watched his fellow villagers walk towards the forest for a second before quickly gearing up as well and running to catch up!

"Tonight's on me, guys!"

In the forest, not knowing of his rescue party, Aloph was slowly jogging his way through the forest, hoping to leave it. Only thing was, he couldn't find his way out! He had to get out of the forest before nightfall or he'd really be in shit! His bleeding not helping the situation in any way.

After 12 minutes of fruitless effort, he gave up. He sat down, tore off his shirt and created a bandage for his arm, although terrible as a bandage, it'd still buy him more time. Aloph once again called for the status screen. "Stats, but only the health part!"

[Health: Injured, bleeding. Time till death: 58 minutes.

Great, he was going to be infected now. Hopefully, his village had something to counter it.

Right when he was about to get up, he fell over onto the ground. Groaning, he picked himself up and leaned against a tree. He looked down at his legs and hands. They were stark white. He just remembered something, he wasn't an adult in an adult's body, He was in a child's body.

Losing so much blood made my body this weak despite the technique. Damn, all I can do now is wait and hope something doesn't eat me.

Aloph then slowly closed his eyes and fell asleep, his blood loss helping with it. The next thing he saw, was the face of a girl.

"You're awake, big bro!" Said the girl excitedly!

"... Big Bro?"
