Magic Element Selection Ceremony

When Mr James said that, the whole class became oddly quiet, they wanted to know the reason such an important event was performed before the scheduled time.

"Well, the reason is that the gate itself has started opening before scheduled and per our calculations it will be fully opened by next week monday." , Mr James said in a calm voice.

"What?!"

"How can the gate open before the scheduled time?!"

"What is happening this year?! "

When they heard what Mr James said, the class went into her another uproar. This was because the Magic Element Selection Ceremony was done in a large hall which was locked by a very huge gate.

That gate was called the Gate of Magic Elements. There are many Gates of Elements in The world. The Gate of Magic Elements was said to be a huge gate that was naturally create in the ancient era.

It was said that in the ancient era, humans were ruled by demon beasts. But when the gates appeared, it led humans to another realm called the Elemental realm.

There humans were able to gain the ability to control elements in the Elemental realm. When the humans figured this out, they waged war against the demon beast with the new abilities they gained from the Gate of Magic Elements.

After the war, which ended up even,humans built towns around the Gates which later grew into cities. The cities in which the gates were found in were called the Major Cities. And Lightsway City was one of those cities.

The opening of the Gate of Magic Elements was scheduled to happen annually. Moreover, it was to open on the first day of the fourth month annually.

However, they were currently in the first week of the third month but the Gate of Magic Elements already began opening a month before the scheduled time. How could they be not confused?!

"Actually, we don't know what made the gate act this way but what we know is that, the time to your Magic Element Selection Ceremony has been shortened and will be taking place next week." , Mr James sighed and said to the class.

'Wow! What happened this time?! Why are really strange things happening this term?! First it was a new student at the end of the semester and now it is the Gate of Magic Elements opening before the time scheduled?!',Jim thought to himself. Even he was surprised towards the events unfolding in front of him.

"It seems that it is time for break. After break, I will explain to you how the Gate of Magic Elements works." , Mr James said.

After saying that, Mr James dismissed the class.

The school's canteen was a very large hall in which tables and chairs are arranged in orderly manner. Each table had a tag on it.

Currently, on the table which was tagged with the number seven, a teenager around the age of fifteen was stuffing large quantities of food into his mouth.

Table seven was the table which Jim always sit with his best friend whenever went for break. However, today was different because the usual noisy atmosphere surrounding the table was totally quiet. Moreover, only one person was sitting at the table.

That person was Jim.

Today, his best friend didn't come to school. He planned to check up on him after school.

As Jim was still stuffing food into his mouth, a beautiful teenager whose had pitch black hair and skin as white as snow was currently approaching him.

That teenager was none other than the new student, Jasmine Burben.

"Please, can you join us for lunch?" , suddenly a teenager with a well built body said to the beautiful teenager .

That teenager was no one other than Grey Durk.

"Sorry, but I have already selected a place where I want to have my break" ,The beautiful teenager said in a sorry voice.

"Please, can you tell me where you are planning to sit?" Grey asked.

" There" , Jasmine said as she pointed at Jim's table.

Seeing that, Grey was extremely furious. He didn't understand why this girl was so attached to Jim.

Jim was just a loser!!

Suddenly, an idea popped into Grey's head, so he said to Jasmine,

"Miss Jasmine, do you know that Jim is the loser in our class?! He is the one who ends up with the worst results in the class. So I suggest you don't sit near him or else your great name will tainted him!!"

After saying that, he looked at her face to see what sort of reaction she would have and lo and behold, she had a bewildered expression on her face. Seeing that, Grey secretly rejoiced thinking that his plan had worked.

But what Jasmine said next disappointed and even shocked him greatly. She said,

"I know."

When Jasmine said that, Grey's expression changes greatly.

His expression got as wonderful as it could be. Jim heard their conversation. Although he didn't understand why Jasmine said that but he liked how Grey's expression changed.

He could even be said to be extremely happy.

Seeing how Jim was grinning from ear to ear, Grey was extremely furious. However because of the presence of Jasmine he didn't dare do anything to him. So he turned around and sent back to his seat.

Jasmine then continued to approach Jim. After getting near Jim, she said, "Can sit here?" . "Yes." , Jim responded calmly.

"So why are supporting me like this?" Jim asked after she sat down.No matter how Jim thought of this question, he didn't understand the reason so he decided to ask her directly.

"What?! You think I like you?!" , Jasmine asked coldly.

Seeing how serious she became all of a sudden, Jim hurriedly denied, "No!! No! no! How could I have that thought?" . He even said three 'No'.

After seeing Jim's reaction, Jasmine nodded her head in a satisfied way before saying, " Actually, it's very simple. I have a premonition that you are someone special. "

"What?! Just like that?!" , Jim asked with a bewildered expression on his face.

"Yes, just like that." Jasmine replied .

"Then what about Grey? Isn't he special?" Jim asked again.

Jasmine chuckled at Jim's question before saying, " He is too arrogant! He has a mere heaven body but he acts like He is the best person in the world! ".

" Hmm, that makes sense", Jim said before proceeding to continue eating. However, Jasmine didn't eat anything. She just sat there seemingly thinking about something.

After a while, Jim said , " it seems it time for us to head back! "

"Okay, then let's head back together." , Jasmine said after snapping out of her daze.
