7 The Abandoned Home! [UPDATED]

The Yunmeng Sect, located within the borders of the Kingdom Azov, is on the southern edge of the Country Fenlai, near the town of Wumei. First once among the Four Great Sects. Even though it was still famous in the Southern of Domain, it had under the order of Qingyun Sect, The powerful guardian of Fenlai Country at the center of its Imperial City. Yunmeng Sect is one of the most prestigious amongst the other branch sects of the Qingyun Sect, compared to him they only can be called inferior, as they hold much inferior power than Yunmeng Sect. Inferior, in the beginning, climbing the ladders to get the glorious position, it has destroyed many small powers under its hands.

Actually, it hadn't always been the glorious Sect. But a thousand years ago, a Cultivator appeared who caused a great sensation in the Southern Domain. His strength was unrivaled in the entire Southern Domain and had forced many small sects to bent to their knees. He'd trod roughshod over all the other Sects in the Country of Fenlai, plundering their treasures, remaining unrivaled against them, creating the Yunmeng Sect first hand.

But things were changed, when he provoked the power he couldn't stand. Considering the lack of resources in the town of Wumei, and the pressure from its neighboring Sects, the first Patriarch battle against the guardian Sect of Fenlai Country, the Qingyun Sect. Under their power and their strength, he couldn't able to hold any longer, causing the downfall of the Yunmeng Sect. In the end, it was eventually been swallowed by the Qingyun Sect and became one of the branches of Qingyun, serving under the most powerful sect of the Yulan Continent's Yunlang Sect.

Ye Chen followed Ye Lan along the path. Walking on the differents of mountains connected through a small path. Walking among the small mountain peaks. The surroundings were garden-like big mountains, with strange rocks and odd-looking trees everywhere. Amidst the beautiful scenery, extravagantly decorated buildings with jade roof tiles rose out of the clouds and mist. Ye Chen sighed continuously, seeing the scenery fading away as he was entering deep inside, the scenery only available on high mountain peaks. Causing him only to glance at most.

"Where are we really going!" Ye Chen muttered as he walked at the abandon looking mountain, that was surrounded by gigantic mountains that could reach the sky and even touch it.

When he saw this, Ye Chen began to reconsider how wonderful the life of the people living on that big mountains is. And how difficult the situation might be for the people who were living on the ground is. But Ye Chen had a persistent personality, so he took a deep breath, glanced around, and maintained his silence.

After a while, when they reached a point about halfway up the mountain, Ye Chen saw a row of flat buildings, and small rooms emerging from the roiling fog.

There are more than dozens of young people wearing hemp robes sat outside the buildings. They looked almost exhausted. Bruises all over their bodies. Compared to what people he had seen before, after entering the Yunmeng Sect, they were in the worst conditions. As Ye Chen and Ye Lan approached, the young people noticed them, glanced at Ye Chen and Ye Lan with almost seniority. Ye Lan did not stop there as she walked further at the ridge of the mountain peak, where the one and only small house keep in an abandoned state.

Walking and stopping in front, the house has almost a separate courtyard with a little personal space for martial art practice, with some exercise instruments.

"We have arrived." Glancing at Ye Chen who was overlooking the entire place Ye Lan suddenly mumbled. "This is going to be your accommodation, as long as you live in Yunmeng Sect, before you become a core disciple, this place will be your home." 

Ye Chen stiffened in his place, looking at the surrounding. Compared to where he lived before, this place was two times bigger, even more.

"Junior disciple Ye Chen, you are at the complete mortal level, not even considering the outdoor disciple. According to Yunmeng Sect Rules, you are called to be the most as a 'servant.' But considering you were personally selected by my father and brought to Immortal Realm by his orders, you will be given off from the servant services." Seeing Ye Chen stiffened in his place, Ye Lan said in a cold and emotionless voice.

Ye Chen's heart trembled hard as he heard, his face filled with despair, but controlling the emotions Ye Chen's face remained calm. In fact, deep within his eyes, an indescribable sparkle lit up. "But, if you have a good talent and good temperament, and breakthrough to Qi Condensation Realm you will become an Outdoor Disciple and can be able to go on a Sect's Mission's," she said lightly, "You may not need to hide behind the doors, forever. Although you were personally invited by my father, but you can't able to breakthrough into Qi Condensation Realm. You will be strip off of every privilege you are getting now and became a servant all along. You may practice cultivation when you are getting the chance. If you manage to reach the first level of Qi Condensation Realm, then you will be promoted to the Outer Sect and can able to get distinct's weapons and better cultivation resources for your cultivation." Ye Lan flicked her white jade hand, whereupon a small booklet appeared in front of Ye Chen. Seeing upon the small booklet cover of which was written by three characters: "Qi Condensation Manual."

When Ye Chen grab this small booklet, laid eyes on the characters, he began to breathe hard. He stared at the booklet that was filled with a piece of enormous information. As he Recalled the strength of the Guardian Ye Rao, who was at another level.

"I can become Outer Sect disciples when I reach the first level, but if I can't able to, I will become a lifelong servant for them all my eternity… and what is the Qi Condensation? Perhaps it is the only way for me to become an Immortal like I have read in the stories."

Ye Chen's excitement swirl around, his excitement reaches its peak. He grabbed the sack in his and put the small booklet in it with the robes he had received from the sect. 

"This is where you will be living. Starting tomorrow, you better be immersed in Cultivation and try to break through to Qi Condensation Realm. Don't try to sneak away, if you get caught by the Sect you will be punished accordingly. Even if you sneak away from the Yunmeng Sect you will die under the hands of other wild beasts, the Yunmeng Sect was completely surrounded by deep wilderness. At the miles of two, there is the small Wumei Town you can able to go when you reach the Qi Condensation Realm. For the time being, you will get your food at your doors." Ye Lan said and take a breath: "If you have understood this, then I will be taking my leave." Saying these words, suddenly, her entire body transformed into the midst of air. She became a rainbow and then disappeared into one of the mountains.

Breathing deeply, Ye Chen arched his hands and saluted with clasped fists to the leaving figure of Ye Lan, then walked toward the house. The building appeared to be an old fashion one, with the plants on its courtyard dried up, dwelling for a moment, walking at a slow pace, glancing around, Ye Chen then opened the door and entered.

The house wasn't really small. It contained a little bedroom at the right of the middle hallway with a small bed, with a worn-out wooden table at the corner of the hall. And a completely separate little small chamber with weird patterns all around connected to the hall. Even though the house was simple with no decoration, it was quite neat and tidy. Ye Chen closes the door walk into the bedroom, sits on the bed, and lets out a deep sigh.

"I can't believe, I come to the Immortal World," said Ye Chen, trying to comfort himself. "Thinking about it. It's not that bad to be here. I'm going to become an Immortal. How many people would envy me if they knew?" Ye Chen said, he was completely exhausted as he throw his entire body on the bed, falling asleep.
