Where is Wu Tai?

"Kid, I'll admit it. You're capable." Yuan Luoyang said as he licked his lips.

"Heh, 'kid'. Call me grandpa instead." Li Bai thought.

Meanwhile, Yuan Ruogang stood still behind both of them, still twiddling his fingers. He had been contemplating about what Zhao Mei said earlier.

He had always been optimistic since his mother had died. After all, his father and his brother were both brooding, and that made him suffocated.

He sincerely believed that r*ping someone would bring them nothing but pleasure. Not to mention the fact that he also felt good while doing it, in his mind, it was a win-win!

However, this was the first time he encountered a girl that had opposed his beliefs. He knew he had limited knowledge of the world and needed to expand on it.

From his point of view, Zhao Mei was much more knowledgeable than he was. That was why he was willing to listen to her.

Yuan Ruogang took out a weapon. It was a very long blade, blunt on one side and sharp on the other. In other words, it was a katana. He slid the blade between his two fingers.

Li Bai took out a weapon of his own. It was a relatively short blade. The small blade had a glint of red, much like the one he used to slice the Heavenly Cotton in half. He opened the butterfly knife and readied his position.

Suddenly, Yuan Ruogang charged forward and slashed the katana down Li Bai!

The katana was made of a high-tier metal, a tier lower than the likes of the Red Stydian and Silver Mythril. However, the level of the weapon itself reached the Heavenly stage, thanks in part to its blacksmith.

Li Bai positioned his short knife to block the weapon using its edge.

Shing!...

The katana was cut in half

"!!" Yuan Ruogang witnessed his favorite weapon being sliced in half. What's more, it was only as a defensive move.

Li Bai avoided the falling half of the katana as he charged forward himself. The butterfly knife aimed for the other party's heart.

"F**k!" Yuan Ruogang saw the weapon headed for his heart. He knew he couldn't block the butterfly knife, having just witnessed its prowess moments ago.

He dogded the short blade as he readied to attack again, only to remember that his blade was already chopped in half.

.....

The scar faced assassin had arrived back to where he started, where he stabbed Wu Tai.

Although, he got a bit confused.

"Eh, where's Wu Tai's corpse? Did boss take it?" He thought.

He had complete confidence in himself, which was why he never doubted the fact that Wu Tai was already dead. He had stabbed the general right where it would be a while before he died, but it would be irreversible as well.

As such, he naturally came to the next valid conclusion: Wu Tai had already died, and the boss had harvested his corpse.

He walked towards the ruins again, with his guard down.

Suddenly, an undetectable force came from nowhere, and pushed him back several li.

The assassin barely managed to stay standing, his head spinning in disarray. He had executed his guild's secret technique, the [Smoke Steps] Movement Technique; in order to conceal his presence from whoever attacked him. He needed time to recover before coming back into the fray.

The opponent sensed where he was despite the technique, and sent a slash of Sword energy towards him.

"Damn!" He never thought that the other party would actually discover his location even though he executed the secret technique! With a blade of Sword energy heading towards him, he had no choice but to duck down. The Sword energy missed him by a strand of hair.

He had no time to waste. Another blade of energy was approaching quickly. Rolling his body to the side, he dodged this one as well.

However, the opponent seemingly knew what direction he would go to, and thus sent another blade there, much to the assassin's terror.

"Ahh!" The blade headed right for his neck. He quickly jumped, but it was the wrong move. The blade sliced open his clothes and reached his chest, creating a giant wound on his torso.

The scar faced assassin coughed up a mouthful of blood. He was in a dire situation now!

His ability to move properly had been disabled. Crawling was the only available option he had left.

He put his hand forward and tried to drag his bleeding body in an attempt to escape. Unfortunately, the sand just collected in his arm instead of pulling him.

A figure approached him. He was in a similar fashion to himself; they were both bleeding to death.

"W- Wu Tai!" The assassin widened his eyes. This guy was still alive?

Without saying a word, Wu Tai walked closer to him with a menacing glare on his face.

"H- hey! Do- don't kill me... I was just hired to do this! Please!," his face filled with desperation, the assassin pleaded and begged.

"I can pay you! Look, look, see?" He had put out all of his items from his storage ring and spread them across the ground.

Wu Tai got closer as he stepped on the items that the assassin offered to him.

The assassin was slowly losing consciousness, staying awake because of the adrenaline rush.

Wu Tai's foot rose up in front of the assassin's face, making him wail in despair. The foot stepped on the assassin's scar filled face.

"Agh! Aagh!" The assassin could not talk in coherent sentences anymore.

Wu Tai pressed the force down harder.

Splat!

The head was squished like a bug before Wu Tai's might.

Blood splashed all over the area, including Wu Tai's already bloodied clothes.

As he wiped himself, Wu Tai muttered, "This dagger... it isn't that bad."

He played around with the dagger as he walked leisurely towards where Li Bai and the others were.

Wu Tai's face morphed into someone else's - the scar face assassin.
