Pill Prices
After the commotion settled, a person from the back brought out a bottle on a cushion and put it on the stand. When the crowd saw the bottle, they all concluded that it was one thing - a pill. They went crazy! For the commoners, it didn't matter if it was a low-quality low-level pill. If they had a pill, they would be sure to rise! For the clan representatives, however, they had to make sure if this was worth it.
"We just received this earlier today. This is the high-level pill, the Marking Pill."
The Marking Pill?! All of the clan representatives were baffled. How did such a valuable pill get into this backwater city auction?! It's probably really only low quality, a green pill, orange at most.
The commoners didn't know what a Marking Pill is, but when they heard that it was a high level one, they too were shocked. It was obvious that they wanted to buy these, they were pills! They would never be blessed with this kind of opportunity again. They had to give it all they've got.
Amidst all the shock, Li Bai was leisurely whistling. He expected this kind of uproar to happen once his pills were introduced. Pills weren't common, but they weren't particularly rare either. The problem was they were incredibly expensive!
Li Bai stood up and walked towards Li Bao, who had her jaw wide open. She was expecting it to cause a riot, but she didn't know it'd be this serious! He then put his hand on his sister's shoulder. This almost made her jump!
"Li Bao jie-jie, I'm going to the toilet, please be my representative."
For some reason, Li Bao thought that Li Bai was doing this on purpose. She walked towards his chair, which was higher up the hall. When she arrived there, she was only one level below the clan representatives.
Yu Fang was having weird expectations towards the mysterious fan. She thought about how much he would raise the price. Once the clan representatives were finished fighting, he would certainly strike! She wanted to rile up the crowd a bit more, especially now that there were a huge number of clan representatives present.
"I almost forgot. These pills are all pure blue, all of the highest quality!"
Pure blue?! Even amongst the extremely rare pill makers, only a handful of them can concoct a pure blue pill, much less a high-level one! The clan representatives almost drooled at the sight of the bottles on the cushioned stand. Their desire had reached unfathomable levels!
"We will be selling them in batches of 5, for a total of 12 batches."
The representatives were all once again astonished! Where in blazes did the Hou auction get a massive amount of these high-level pills?
"We have struck gold by coming here today!"
"Look! I told you they have treasures!"
"So many pills!"
All of the clan representatives were ecstatic to get their hands on one of the batches. They know that it would be expensive, but this was a once in a lifetime opportunity!
"The starting price for one batch is... 3000 gold!"
The 3000 gold was already tremendously low for a batch of 5 high-level pills! Even if the starting price was 3000 though, the price would obviously shoot up. So, this move only made the Hou auction have a better image towards the clan representatives.
The clan representatives all started to fight each other once she introduced the starting price. Some even threatened the other clans, promising that they would be making an enemy should they outbid them.
"5000!"
"7000!"
"9000!"
"10000!"
.....
"13000!"
The first batch was sold for 13000 gold. The next batches were all fought over fiercely while the clan that got the first batch was in ecstasy over getting a batch of 5 pills, and high-level ones at that!
After some time, the clans' enthusiasm only grew stronger. The last of the batches were nearing, they wouldn't get an opportunity like this again!

All of the batches got sold for 176,500 gold. The clans who didn't get a batch were depressed. They should've brought more money!
Li Bao now knew where her little brother would get all of the money to pay for all of the artifacts he just bought. She was tempted to buy the next treasures as well, but this was her brother's money. She shouldn't use it for herself.
"We'll announce that next week, there will be another pill galore... this time, it's the Gem Light Pill!"
The crowd was once again shocked. They felt their heart beat faster. The Gem Light Pill was a highly rare pill that increased the potential of the practitioner! Even if it was only a vomit green color, they were still coveted, even among the nobles!
"So, wait in anticipation for tomorrow!"
Yu Fang had mixed emotions. A part of her was extremely excited when the pills were sold. They were sold for an enormous price! She was going to get a portion.
The other part of Yu Fang was disappointed. She was waiting for her fan to up the stakes and buy everything! Even so, she would feel guilty if she left that passionate fan alone after spending so much for her. She had to find out who he was.

Li Bao was invited into the auction house's office. There, she met the owner, Miss Hou.
Miss Hou had a platinum card and a golden card ready. This was the total profit minus the taxes of 5%. These two cards contained 167 platinum coins and 675 gold coins in total! This much was already above the profits of the Li clan for a whole year!
"Here, miss Li Bao, the pay."
Li Bao was going to accept the card, but then she remembered that it was her brother who made the pills, and not her.
"Sorry, but please give these to Li Bai himself."
Li Bao then turned around and took her leave. Miss Hou was speechless. This girl was going to receive a fortune, and she wanted to give it to her brother?! She had completely forgotten that Li Bai was actually the one who made the pills.
"Miss Hou, what shall we do?"
"Search for the trash Li Bai, and give him the card."
"But Miss..."
"Do you want Li Bao to retrieve her pills back?"
Miss Hou was utterly confused inside her head. Why did this beautiful girl want to give the money to her trash brother? Then, she had come to a conclusion, the same as the servant from Li clan - they were in a relationship.
"What an illicit relationship!"
