Medicinal Knowledge

Li Bai, trapped inside the office, had no idea what formation to make. He had already exhausted his memories and consequently his knowledge in that area.

Besides, even if Li Bai did make his own formation, he would have no way of setting it up. He was too weak to set it up himself, and the people around him were all either unconscious or stupid, like Miss Hou Ju under the table.

Being not both unconscious and stupid was crucial to setting the formation up! If one was unconscious, how would they engrave and sculpt the scriptures? If one was stupid, how would they even know how to sculpt it in the first place?

Li Bai had abandoned that notion and thought of other plans. He then recalled the drawer that Hou Ju got his cards from.

"There must be something else inside her drawer!"

The tremors have stopped, but Hou Ju was still panicking under the round table in the center of the room. She was expecting more of the tremors to come.

Li Bai walked with difficulty to the drawer behind Hou Ju's seat, considering his injury. When he was limping to his destination, he predicted that Hou Ju would notice him, and probably intercept him in his pursuit of her valuables drawer.

Hou Ju looked around and saw a weirdly walking man's small legs inside her room, heading towards her medicine drawer. She wanted so badly to stop him, but noticed that he was actually limping instead of being eccentric! He must have been injured during the earthquake! She felt pity for this man. She ignored him and looked down to be inconspicuous.

Li Bai walked to the table with ease, with Hou Ju's head looking down. He shrugged it off, seeing that Hou Ju was still being stupid. He then opened the drawer. He looked back at Hou Ju to see if she wasn't being stupid anymore. That wasn't the case.

With the drawer opened, Li Bai scanned the area inside. It was full of herbs and medicines!

"That's it!"

Li Bai had another specialty - medicine making! Medicines were divided into three: pills, powders, and elixirs.

Powders and elixirs were usually pills first before turning into their respective forms.

Powders were made from crushing herbs and mixing them. Sometimes, they were made from used high-level pills. The effect was still strong enough for commoners to be attracted to powders that were made from used pills. Their prices were also remarkably lower than those made of herbs rather than pills.

Meanwhile, elixirs were made from dissolving the ingredients in a specific liquid. Pills also played a part in the spread of elixirs for the same reasons as the powder.

Li Bai could make any of the three if he wanted. He just needed a prerequisite. What was he healing, exactly? What was the problem with those people with bloodshot eyes?

Li Bai delved deeper and deeper into these questions. Were the bloodshot eyes a symptom? What are the sicknesses or disorders which had bloodshot eyes as a symptom?

Each time he asked a question, he would say yes to it first, then go back when he determined that this route was wrong. It was like always sticking to the right wall in a maze, one would always get to the end. It was based on their luck on whether the right wall was long or not.

Li Bai had ultimately isolated the only reason - an excess of negative mind energy. There were some other sicknesses or disorders which included bloodshot eyes as a symptom, but none of those other ones also had "inexplicably angry" as one of the symptoms. Li Bai felt very lucky in that regard.

This negative mind energy excess was easy to solve, and that was by ingesting something with overflowing positive mind energy. Conveniently, these came in droves in Hou Ju's drawer!

Li Bai wondered why, but he didn't have more time! He didn't even need to make a pill to do this, he just needed to grind one of the medicines inside Hou Ju's drawer.

Snatching a herb, Li Bai quickly sat down on the table. He instantly realized that the table was not an option since it was rattling. Hou Ju, in specific, was the one convulsing, and in turn, she made the table shake as well.

Hou Ju saw that the injured man sat on the chair right next to her. She was stupid, so she got nervous.

Li Bai stood up and cleaned the top of the drawer. He placed the herb on top and started to chop it with a knife also found in the drawer.
