Li Bai could smell Zhao Mei's scent, which made him want to ravage her.

He quickly retreated to regain his senses, and shook his head.

Zhao Mei saw that Li Bai shook his head and was relieved. She didn't want to do it here, much less in this position.

Thinking that the young man was flustered from his previous attacks, Yuan Luoyang made use of this opportunity and threw more daggers, as well as some poisoned arrows.

There were also arrows that explode after a period of time, so even if the other party does catch them, it would still explode right in front of his face.

"Now I got you...!" Yuan Luoyang tried to reassure himself, but for some reason, he was not fully confident anymore.

The arrows were quickly approaching Li Bai, who was still in the middle of regaining his senses.

The barrage of projectiles aimed towards Li Bai made Zhao Mei startled. "Li Bai, there is...!"

Before she could finish her sentence, an arrow penetrated Li Bai's cloth, but he succesfully caught it between two fingers!

He quickly threw it away and bended his body, dodging some of the other arrows!

He jumped and avoided the daggers that were aimed at him!

A dagger was aimed right at his face. Li Bai twisted his head and opened his mouth. He then clamped down his teeth, catching another dagger!

Yuan Luoyang could not process what was happening. Even so, he continued to throw poisoned daggers, shot tipped arrows, and even lob poisonous liquids!

However, all of them were either succesfully dodged from or deflected by Li Bai. The worst part was that he didn't even turn his back for one second! The entire time, Li Bai was facing the other way, making Yuan Luoyang think that the other party was solely relying on instinct to dodge or deflect his projectiles!

"This guy... I- I'll just kill him with my cultivation!" Yuan Luoyang walked over and revealed himself.

His face was full of sweat, his clothes disheveled, and his movements restrained. He was too tired from throwing all of those objects at him.

Yuan Luoyang drove his cultivation, quickly regaining his energy.

Li Bai scanned the other party's cultivation, and saw that he was a Second Level Godly Mark. With that discovery, he clicked his tongue.

He knew that he stood no chance if he were to not use any artifact or arrays.

Walking back towards Zhao Mei, he looked at the restraints that she had on each limb.

"Eh... so you can't escape these Magnetic Jade Cuffs, huh?" Li Bai uttered while examining them.

Hearing the other party, Zhao Mei was bewildered. What are... "Magnetic Jade Cuffs"?

Li Bai walked up to her again.

The one restraining her leg was the one before Li Bai. He tapped it with his finger before walking to the other one.

Zhao Mei watched him do that and was confused. Why did he tap the cuff? Was he trying to get a feel of it?

Suddenly, the cuff shattered! It turned into dust, and was blown away by the wind.

Zhao Mei saw it happen and was shocked. She stared at Li Bai with skepticism in her eyes.

Li Bai proceeded to do the same to the other three. The cuffs subsequently shattered, making Zhao Mei fall from where she was to the sand.

He took out a large blanket and covered Zhao Mei with it, and proceeded to give her an umbrella.

"Eh... uh, thanks." Zhao Mei was too startled to give a proper response.

Li Bai looked back at her with a smile, and walked towards Yuan Luoyang, who just stood there and watched.

"Tell me, why did you let me let her go?" Li Bai was genuinely confused as to why the man before him did not interfere with him saving Zhao Mei.

"After your defeat, it'll be easier anyway." Yuan Luoyang laughed it off.

"Then why aren't you commanding your men to attack me?," Li Bai asked him.

"You want them to? Fine," Yuan Luoyang looked fed up before he shouted, "Attack!"

Yuan Luoyang patiently waited for his henchmen to begin their attack.

After a while, there was still nothing.

"..." Yuan Luoyang was speechless, "Attack!"

Li Bai's smile grew further until he broke into laughter. He wiped his eyes and said, "You better watch where you aim."

Suddenly, Li Bai threw a bottle to Zhao Mei. Not expecting it, she failed to catch the bottle, making the glass crack. The liquid inside dissipated into a gas, and Zhao Mei inhaled it.

She fell asleep upon inhalation.

The rain stopped.

Li Bai put her inside the Silverstone ring, and carried her to a bed.

As the rain quietly dissapeared, corpses were appearing out of nowhere.

Yuan Luoyang widened his eyes as the corpses became visible. Those were... his henchmen!

He ran towards one and saw that he had foam in his mouth. Another one had a dagger stuck in his neck, and another had an arrow pierced through his heart.

Poison, a dagger, and an arrow... These were my attacks! Which means... that this kid redirected my barrage towards them while I did not notice at all?

Yuan Luoyang could not care less about the deaths of these people. After all, they were just replaceable henchmen. What startled him was the fact that the kid had reflected his attacks in the midst of him dodging, while also being under the rain, and them being hidden.

Any one of these three would hinder him, but the kid actually did it with all of these?

The assassin with the face full of scars ran back to the ruins like a dog.

He had the object that Yuan Luo had thrown earlier in his mouth.

It was nothing valuable, just a piece of scrap metal. Still, Yuan Luoyang ordered him to go fetch it.

With the knowledge that Yuan Luoyang was the son of the Assassin Guildmaster, he was quick to curry favor with him.
