Broken Legs

Li Bao woke up on her bed with Li Fu watching her. Memories of the riot faded in her head, only vague bits and pieces remained.

Li Fu looked like he didn't sleep at all during the time Li Bao was unconscious. After all, his two children were hurt for a trip to the Hou auction.

Hou Ju sent the cards Li Bai was supposed to receive, as well as compensation money for the injuries they had caused the Li clan's children, even though they had nothing to do with it. Only Hou Ju did, harming Li Bai two times.

No one that was part of the riot remembered that they were there to kill Li Bai, but didn't know why. All they said was that they felt immeasurable anger towards Li Bai.

The Li clan tried to recollect what Li Bai could have done to make the commoners that angry, but they had no idea as well. The only thing he has done during the past few days that could have angered the commoners was that he spoke back to them.

Nonetheless, the commoners were punished by the city lord for causing extreme havoc in the city, even right in front of the Hou auction! What would he have done if the Hou family was dissatisfied with the city, and instead set up their auction somewhere else? The Hou auction had held the most percentage of taxes the city lord was collecting.

.....

Li Bai never lost consciousness when he was in the crisis, but he lost something else - his legs. The doctors said that his legs wouldn't recover until a year or two.

Obviously, Li Bai knew of a better method that could heal his legs in only a week, but the servants ignored him when he said he wanted ingredients. They looked down on him, because not only was he a child, but he was also trash!

Even now, when Li Bai was injured, the servants still made fun of him and thought it was his fault his legs were broken.

Li Bai was now self-conscious about the fact that he acted very childish inside Hou Ju's office, even though he exerted a different aura when he entered.

With his memories, Li Bai knew that he was supposed to act maturely. But for reasons he didn't know, he just couldn't act mature in this tiny body of his.

Whether it's because he imagined watching himself and felt weird or because his personality was actually like this from the start, among other reasons, he still felt pretty embarrassed about it, especially when he cried like a baby.

Li Bai, after contemplating on his childish tendencies, knew what he needed to do next - heal his leg. He wanted to be a witness to his own rise, and to do that, he needed to recover.

Again, Li Bai realized himself that this was childish, but it wasn't like this was the only reason he wanted to recover. Besides, one didn't even need a reason to recover other than that he wanted to.

Brushing that aside, Li Bai tried to move his legs but to no avail. He knew what happened to his legs. His bones were broken. This hurt a lot for him.

Li Bai didn't see this as a problem, he could easily solve it within a week. The problem was on how he was going to get his hands on the ingredients.

Li Bai obviously couldn't get the ingredients themselves. His legs were broken, and the whole purpose of the gathering of ingredients was to heal them. He couldn't heal himself before he gathered the ingredients, and he couldn't gather the ingredients before he healed himself.

On the other hand, Li Bai's servants didn't believe him when he said he needed the ingredients to make a medicine for his legs. They just laughed it off.

Li Fu wasn't an option as he was terribly busy, taking care of him, Li Bao, and the entire clan all at once! Li Bai would never get an audience with his father, not with his highly busy schedule.

Li Bai couldn't think of any way to gather the ingredients. Besides, these legs of his were just a minor inconvenience, he had a far more daunting problem on his hands - his sister.

Li Bai accidentally threw the powder on instinct into the face of his older sister. She then promptly lost consciousness. If this wasn't his fault, then no one was guilty of anything in this world.

What Li Bai didn't know was that his sister already woke up and that it wasn't his fault as well. In fact, he even healed his sister! She was thankful for her little brother, but Li Bai thought that Li Bao would blame everything on him when she woke up.

.....

Li Bao stood up, full of energy from her bed. Li Fu was chock full of surprise when she did so. He thought that his daughter would have a long time before recovering after waking up, as waking up was the first step of recovering!

Li Bao actually woke up a day ago, but didn't want to get out of bed, and slept again. She didn't feel hungry or anything of the sort, her mind energy was fooling her that everything was alright.

When Li Bao stood up, the mind energy in her body ceased stopping the signals in her body telling her to do bodily functions. This caused a flood of unpleasant feelings inside Li Bao. She immediately rushed to the toilet.

From her bedroom to the toilet was a long way. There were plenty of fragile and breakable things on the way there, some of them even expensive.

When Li Fu snapped out of his shock, he instantly felt a sense of danger. He then remembered that his airhead daughter was running to the toilet!

"Crap!"

He immediately ran after his daughter and ordered a bunch of servants to spread the message:

"Be more careful, Li Bao is running."

This message soon spread through the whole mansion, and the servants fell into a panic. The clan head's flippant daughter, Li Bao, was running again? They still couldn't forget the havoc caused by her when she last ran.

Li Bao had an emergency on all of her parts, most particularly on the lower side of the body. She needed to let out all the waste that has accumulated these past days!

The servants saw Li Bao and were desperate to keep the vases and flower pots from falling, the air pressure from Li Bao sprinting almost knocked over plenty!

When Li Bao passed through, the servants were all relieved and let their guard down. Li Fu followed soon after. His wind pressure was even stronger than Li Bao's, not to mention that the servants completely didn't expect him.

The vases crashed! They all broke on the floor when Li Fu passed. The servants' jaws have all dropped, their mouths wide open. This clan head-!

And so Li Fu continued to break more and more. Every time, the servants would be caught off guard after Li Bao passed through and Li Fu would run through, breaking all of the vases in the process.

.....

The way to the toilet passed through Li Bai's room's entrance, so it was only natural that he heard the ruckus his sister was causing outside of his room.

"Huh? Idiot jie-jie already woke up?"

If that was so, he could already ask his sister to gather the ingredients for him! After all, she wouldn't doubt him, not after seeing him making high-level pills.

But he suddenly denied himself. Li Bai knew that Li Bao would resent him, sending her into unconsciousness for several days was a huge blow to her cultivation.

"I'm asking for way too many favors."

Li Bai, with nothing to do, returned to sleep on his bed. His legs' recovery, if not paid attention to, would take about two years. He didn't want to wait that long, but he seemed to have no other choice either.

.....

Li Bao arrived at the toilet and instantly relieved herself. Li Fu, on the other hand, looked scruffy. He looked back at the mess he had made and was disappointed.

"Ah, my daughter Li Bao, you're such an airhead..."
