Chapter 39

A week passes by during that time Hana gets ready to leave the village by telling her boss that she would need to stop working as she had to leave. He was understanding and let her go without question. The place she was told to meet Fran was at Bon's house because he would tell them how Hana can join the war with Fran. She carried a purse that contained the money she had saved up from working and a bag of clothes she would be taking with her. It was only enough to get by for a few days. Once she gets to Bon's place she knocks the door and the one to answer the door was Fran.

Fran: "Come in Hana Bon won't arrive for a while since he had to go do something but he said he'll come back in a few hours. Since he won't be here for a while I was wondering if you wanted to help clean his house as a way to thank him. He didn't want to accept money so it's the least we could do I thought."

Hana: "Sure I don't mind, I'm good at cleaning anyways so it shouldn't take much time."

Once they were almost done cleaning it was around noon the only place that was left was Bon's bedroom. When they both enter to clean it they each do their parts on the side of the room.

Hana: "This looks good enough to me are you done yet Fr—"

She stops what she was saying as Fran had grabbed her hand and was looking straight at her with a serious look. He leans into her face leaning in for a kiss; she does not try to avoid it but instead closes her eyes and she sheds tears of joy.

Hana: At long last I'll have someone along my side. I'll be able to be happy again. It doesn't matter what happens down the road as long as someone is by my side it'll be alright since nothing is worse than being alone. I'll have a family again. We'll share good memories just like once before.

As those thoughts went through her head it quickly went away as well as her tears as they had evaporated into the air. The kiss that they had shared wasn't heart warming but burning with unimaginable heat. Fran had his arms locked around her waist causing her to lose mobility as she tried to struggle to get away but it wasn't a long struggle as her whole body was burning by the flames created by Fran.

Hana: It hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts it hurts why why why why why why why why why…. can't I just be happy. Why was I betrayed again? All I wanted was to have someone by my side. I was willing to give them my everything even change how my personality is. Was it my body he didn't like? Was it me boring? Was it me being pushy? Was I no longer needed? W-what did I need to do to no longer be alone. It didn't matter what the request was I was willing to do it as long as I had someone by my side.

The screams and tears she instinctively wanted to let loose we're not possible for her. All her tears would just evaporate instantly. And her screams were no longer possible as her tongue was no more after being burned off. The last thing she saw was Fran's face.

Hana: Why do you look at me like that with your emotionless expression as you do this to me did I really mean nothing to you. Did I really not have a chance to have someone by my side from the beginning. I wouldn't of minded being lied to and deceived for the rest of my life as long as someone was by my side.

After that she passed away.
