Chapter 27

It's the next morning Hyogo wakes up to the sound of knocking on the door of the old storage. He brings himself up in a sitting position rubbing his eyes as his eyes try to adjust themselves after waking up.

Hyogo: "Come in."

The one to enter was Hana with a basket held in her hand.

Hana: "Did you sleep well?"

Hyogo: "Good enough, how about you."

Hana: "Pretty good like usual."

Hana sits down next to Hyogo on the floor.

Hana: "Are you hungry for breakfast yet I brought you some food if you want to eat it now."

Hyogo: "Sure don't want the food to get cold now do I."

Hana brings out the food for Hyogo.

Hyogo: "..."

But all he does is stare at it.

Hana: "What's wrong, aren't you going to eat?"

Hyogo: " Well I would like to but I can't move my arms because of these injuries."

Hana: "That's right it completely flew by my head that you couldn't eat like that. Want me to feed you then."

Hana gives him a playful smile while asking.

Hyogo: "Yes, if you don't mind I would appreciate it."

Hana feeds Hyogo with a smile on her face as if enjoying it. After eating they talk for a while.

Hyogo: "Do you know if the people in the village like god?"

Hana: "I'm pretty sure they don't like him, I'm the only one that does as far as I know, why do you ask?"

Hyogo: "For no particular reason I was just wondering since I myself am a strong believer in him. Before coming here I would always pray to him and was grateful to God. So when I was sent to this world to join this world I felt immense happiness since it felt like I had captured God's attention and that he chose me to be here. Also getting a real answer that he existed made me happy. So I was surprised when I got to know this world better that less people liked God in this world where they know he existed than my old one when they aren't 100% he was real. So whenever I visit a village like this I wonder if the people believe in God or not."

Hana: "Is that so but I'm pretty sure the reason people don't like God here as much is because they know he exists. I had asked my brother that same thing and he told me It's easier to believe in a fantasy than to believe in reality. The fact that it's confirmed makes people mad and hate him because he exists for certain yet he doesn't do anything to help the world when it's a mess with suffering and unfairness. When it's not certain God exists they can be optimistic and say God is doing this for a reason and put up with it believing that it'll be alright. I myself don't see God in a bad way since I think God is wonderful for even giving us life so I could be alive and have fun with my family and friends. I like to believe that there's a reason as to why God doesn't do anything and if we ever find out why we'll be grateful or understanding for that reason."

Saying this made her appreciate everything she had causing her to smile.

Hyogo: "It's a shame the others don't think like you but it makes me happy in your belief in God. I'm sure God will bless you with a good life."

Hana: "As long as I'm able to continue to be with the other villagers here I don't need anything else. I'm happy with the life I have and grateful for it. I couldn't ask for anything more."

Hyogo: "... "

Hana: "Oh! Sorry Hyogo but I have to go I forgot I promised to help my mom with moving around some furniture."

Hyogo: "Ok hurry up and go don't keep your mom waiting."

Hana quickly picked up the leftover food and put it back into the basket and left the old storage. Their conversation quickly ended as fast as it started with Hana having to leave and go help her mother.
