Chapter 11 (Lamentations)

"Death is inevitable" is the shortest of all horror stories, yet the scariest amongst them all.

It is inevitable indeed, no matter the power nor the wealth one possesses.

In Severus's case, his soul had died long ago before his death arrived, a life without freedom is a form of death, Severus lived a life of restriction by the trammels of his owners, he was already dead before his death arrived.

The unforgiving people of Venice would then turn against the government for their atrocity, leaving their hero a dead man.

Severus's wife Martina is also a victim, left with the duty of taking care and protecting a household, the job of every male spouse.

What a dishonor it would be to live your whole life as a slave and die a slave too, it is indeed a purposeless life, worthy of forgetting,

Demise is inevitable, so the whole world struggles to carve out as much pleasure they can from the world before leaving it, and since death is inevitable, most people on Earth prepare themselves to die in a good way.

But, at times, we come to the world without the intention of suffering, yet we see ourselves suffering, a few things can force us to suffer, such as circumstances, our fellow human beings and, disasters, to name a few.

The life of a slave has no option but suffering, he is held by the trammels of his owner, he is told what to do, when to do it and how to do it, he hasn't the intent to suffer when he was born, but yet he does.

The world is full of tribulation and suffering than it is with pleasure, suffering lasts longer than pleasure, pleasure gives people joy for the moment after and it becomes just a memory, suffering leaves a scar on its victim, at times it takes your whole life.

The people of Venice planned to hold a movement for their hero, for he is dead in their eyes, freedom is life, slavery is death, if one is a slave he or she is dead,

The people of Venice began agitating for the release of Severus as a slave, while he was gone, a movement led by Vir bellica's loyal supporters, many people in Venice feared Vir bellica would die one day if he stays longer as a Gladiator.

Surely no-one is above defeat, and the people of Venice have that in the back of their minds, Severus has made history, he needs to be set free, the people of Venice would love to have their hero alive and not shoved beneath the graves, at least till he becomes old.

But while the people of Venice agitated for his release, he was elsewhere fighting for his life in a faraway land, trying not to have his face snaped by heavy Jaws.
