28 Stubborness

Mo Ting woke up and glanced at his bedside which was showing that he started his day earlier today. It was still 6AM in the morning. He could feel soft and warm body beside him and he smiled to himself. Tang Ning was recently sleeping very well. Usually in the morning, she would wake up earlier than him and tried to make him breakfast.

Regardless of her busy schedule and his constant warning not to do anything, she still stubbornly wanted to take over kitchen. Her appetite was getting better too. She was sleeping soundly and her long hair partially covered her face. Mo Ting could not stop himself from taking care of her even during her sleep. He slowly took her hair and swept it behind her face. There, he could see his lovely wife who always looked perfect. Mo Ting kissed her forehead and wanted to let her sleep a little bit more.

He took his time to get out from his bed and went straight to shower. Finishing his shower and coffee, Lu Che - his assistant had waited outside his home.

"Morning, Boss." He greeted his boss with smile.

"Morning. You are early today. Do you have any update from Su Qian Ci? How is the progress of her song making?"

"She said she is almost ready with her first draft. I haven't contacted her again."

"First draft? Not bad, she is quite fast. Contact her and find out when we are able to listen to it." Mo Ting gave further instruction.

"Will it be just you? Do you mean to invite more people?"

He stopped to think. "I don't think Lu Ting Xiao will be interested. You can try to ask him but I can guarantee he will reject. But Ye Wan Wan would surely go. There is no doubt about it. Call her once confirmed."

"Okay, Boss."

"About your Madam, she recently easily tired. Get me bird nest and ginseng from Old Qiao."

"Yes, even I noticed that."

"You also?" Mo Ting was surprised. If he was aware about it, there was nothing new. He was very sensitive especially for Tang Ning issue. But for even Lu Che to notice it, it was weird.

"I think the filming this time round is more demanding. Some more together with Ning Xi, they would sure exhaust herself to get the best out of it."

"Maybe." Mo Ting had his own doubt. Next time he should drop by to the filming site and see how it went.

The next filming day

Today, Tang Ning and Ning Xi supposed to film fighting scene, using both guns, wire and stunt double. The movie producer had tried to convince both of them to take stunt double. However, both fervently rejected the idea.

More ridiculous thing was Ning Xi forced Tang Ning to take a stunt double while she did not want to.

"Tang Ning, Ning Xi. Please just use stunt double this once. I know how dedicated you are. But, our scene today is very dangerous. I am begging you to not make things difficult for me." The producer was half crying begging his two actresses. It was his first time begging people to stop acting. Usually he would yell for people to act properly or take up more challenges.

"Director, listen to me. I can do it. Have you seen me do worse than any action star? I am well trained, but not Tang Ning Jie."

"What are you talking about? If you can do it, I also can do it." Tang Ning stubbornly resisted.

"Ning Jie." Ning Xi pulled Tang Ning hand, away from the miserable director and other people.

"Ning Jie, why are you so stubborn?"

"Ning Xi, don't you dare do this to me. If you can do it, I also can do it."

"But I am not pregnant!" Ning Xi hissed her words while lowering her voice down.

"Sigh. I knew this will happen when you know about my condition. I can take care of myself, this is my own body. And we did not even do the same scene! You need to trust me."

Ning Xi frustrated over Tang Ning. How could a pregnant woman be so stubborn. Should she tell Mo TTing? But if Ning Jie knew that she told Mo Ting, she would hate her for sure. However, what else she could to stop her. Her idea had ran out dry. It was her first time facing such frustrating situation. First, it was Ning Jie, her idol. Second, she felt she needed to be a protector when no one knew about her real condition.

"Ning Xi, trust me. Our scenes are very different. You will be the one jumping around the building, while I am just riding a motorcycle and shoot a few bullets out. I should be okay. I did not even do any fighting scene."

"But, your fetus age is still very young."

"Look at me!" Tang Ning forced Ning Xi to look levelly at her eyes. "Don't you trust me?"

"I do. But I do not trust other people other than you. And you exactly know how much people involve in this filming site."

"Okay, let's make this works. If you notice anything weird, immediately let Mo Ting know."

"Then, we should not film this now. He is not around."

"Ning Xi!" Tang Ning slightly increased her voice

"Why? I have compromised. I will wait till he come to the filming site. Meanwhile, we should delay this scene."
