2 First day of school

"Charlie! It's getting late! You need to get out of bed or else you're going to be late for school," Rebecca shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm already up mom, I just got out of the shower and I'm about to get ready now!" Charlie replied.

"I got the feeling that you'd wake up late, so I made your breakfast. Your credit card is on the dining table, so remember to take it up before you leave out for school. Am running late for work, so I'll see you later, ensure that you lock up all the doors and windows before you leave. I already gave you the direction for your new school last night, so just type the address I gave you in your GPS, or else you'll end up lost. And please drive safely, I cannot lose anyone else, and try having a good day at school honey," Rebecca said in a serious tone, as she held her documents tightly in her hand.

"I’ll try mom, promise me you'll try having a good day at work as well," Charlie said, matching her Aunt's serious tone.

Charlies POV

I've been staying with Rebecca for more than a year now, ever since my father William died. Honestly, a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him, it pains my heart to know that I have to live in regret and guilt for what I did to him, it's just a heavy burden on my shoulders.

End of Charlie's POV

As I glanced down at my phone, my eyes bulged out of my head as the brightness of my phone screen and the time caught my eyes.

After searching for something cute to wear to school, I settled on a purple tank top and a black denim shorts, paired with a purple converse. Luckily, the clothes that I picked to wear to school were elastic, so It only took me a few seconds to get ready...

Fully clothed, I pulled my curly blonde hair up in a neat bun and quickly did a light make-up that highlighted my features. Where's the beauty without a hairstyle?

Pleased with how beautiful and hot I looked in the mirror, I took my black matey bag up off my suitcase, then placed my phone and purse inside of it and then practically ran down the stairs swiftly. As I reached downstairs, I curiously went into the dining room, to see what my Aunt Rebecca made for my breakfast.

As I got to the table and spotted my breakfast, I screamed as I took off the cover that was covering my food. On a plate laid two strawberry pancakes and a warm cup of milk. I mean who doesn't love strawberries? I could eat strawberries for the whole day and not get tired of the taste.

A moan escaped my lips, as one of the crunchy strawberries hit my taste buds. But then, I remembered that I was running late for school, so I had to eat the pancakes quickly because I don't want to create a bad impression on my first day.

After I finished eating, I washed out the dirty chalk plate and teacup that I used and quickly took my credit card up off the dining table and placed it inside of my cute purse and then proceeded to lock up the doors and the windows and rushed to my red porch car.

I’m sorry I forgot to introduce myself, it slipped my mind. My name is Charlie Brown, I am 17 years old, I have a butterfly tattoo on my leg going 2 years now, I can sing, I love to read, I’m a people person and I also have an identical twin by the name of Carter Brown.

My mom and my twin hate me because according to them I killed my father, I don’t blame them for saying that I killed him because it's true. I'll tell you what happened to my father on the way to school because I’m already running late.

A couple of seconds after walking towards the garage, I spotted my red porch car. I got in, then my subconscious made me typed in the address my Aunt gave me in my GPS and within a minute I was off.

Flashback... A year ago...

"Daddy, can you go buy me ice cream, please? I'm on my period and you know ice cream is the only thing that can ease the pain,'' Charlie grumbled.

"Can you wait until the game is done? I don't want to lose the game char, and I'm in the middle of the game and you know I cannot pause the game,” William said in a harsh tone.

"Daddy you have to go now, besides I’m more important than your stupid game," Charlie mumbled with her puppy dog eyes, she knew her father couldn't resist.

"You know that I cannot resist your puppy dog eyes, Char, you're too cute when you do that thing with your eyes. Should I buy the rum and raisin ice cream or should I surprise you with something different for a change?" William asked his daughter, with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Dad you know rum and raisin is my only favorite ice cream, and you know I hate surprises," Charlie responds feeling the urge to cry.

"I'll be right back then, tell your mom and your twin that I'll be back within an hour," William said with a sigh after he turned the TV off.

"I'll go tell them, they're just in the kitchen," Charlie added quickly as she was excited.

Five hours have now passed and my father William still hasn't returned home. And to say my mother Munchy and my twin brother are worried would be an understatement. Mom called dad's phone several times, but it kept going to voicemail which caused more tension in the air.

I watched as my twin Carter turned towards me and narrowed his eyes while he spoke up saying.

"If anything ever happens to my father you're going to pay," Carter said, as he folds his fist proving that he wasn't joking.

My heartbeat quicken, as I heard my brother's voice break because he was crying. I then turned my head, to look at my mother with tears in my own eyes as I uttered the few words that flashed through my mind.

"I'm sor...ry for ask...ing Will..iam to go get me_______," Charlie stuttered nervously, but sadly she didn't get to finish her sentence.

I was cut off from saying anything else because the house phone in the dining room that we were currently in started to ring.

I watched as my mother rushed towards the phone and answered the phone with confusion as to who could be calling at this time of the night.

Well, I suppose that's how you could describe the look she had on her face when she answered the phone. As I was looking at my mother, I saw her sunk to the ground and started crying out of nowhere. Not knowing what to do, I got up from the couch and headed towards her and went on my knees, and asked her the one question that came to mind.

"Ma! what's wrong? Who was on the__________," Charlie questioned worriedly, but then again, she was interrupted.

My mother hit me across my left cheek so hard, that I stumbled backward and hit my head on the hard tile. I waited for a few minutes before I lifted my head and balanced myself up, not wanting the burning sensation throughout my body to increase. To my surprise, when I touched the back of my head with my right hand, I felted a pool of warm liquid dripping in my palm, everything just happened so fast.

My brother Carter rushed to my side to help me up, but then my mother spoke up.

"Carter she doesn't deserve your help let her be, she killed your Father," Munchy said with a sob.

My twin let go of my hand instantly upon hearing the words my mother had said. In the corner of my eyes, I could see the look of betrayal and pain written all over his face. At that moment I wanted to cry, but my tears were far away, and just like that I collided back with the hard white tile. This time my head spun until everything went jet black.

....The other day...

I opened my eyes and yawned from both hunger and the need for more sleep. It was then that I heard my mother speaking loudly on the phone arguing outside my bedroom door.

I got up from my bed swiftly to head outside to ask what the fuss was all about, but I stopped when I saw all of my suitcases and a note laying neatly on the floor.

On the front of the paper were two words that stated 'READ ME' in capital letters. Out of Curiosity I slowly took the letter up and opened it and began to read it at a minimum speed.

The letter

Dear Charlie,

I’m sorry but this is for the best, I no longer want you in this house, each time I look at you I see my husband that you murdered. I spoke with your twin and he feels the same way, he said that he doesn't want to be in the same room with you. He told you that you'd pay last night if anything happened to his father and you will.

You're just a selfish little bitch, who thinks of no one but herself. I am no longer your mother and Carter is no longer your brother. Get out of my house as soon as you read this letter and I've already packed all of your clothes and you if you're wondering where you're gonna go. I called my sister and told her of my situation and she agreed to take you in. As I said before, I want you out of my house and never come back, and am pretty sure you know the direction to my sister Rebecca's house already.

Hate,

Munchy (ex-mother)

Carter (ex twin)

End of letter

With tears in my eyes, I took the suitcases off of the ground and placed them on my bed, and quickly placed the letter inside of my favorite pink suitcase. I rushed to my bathroom, scratch that it's no longer mine, I took a quick shower then brushed my teeth. After I was done, I walked back into what I use to call my room and look at the pictures that my family and I took a couple of years ago.

Tears stung my eyes, as I looked at the last picture my Dad and I took together, I took done all of the pictures of myself and some with my father. Since my mother and brother don't want to be a part of my life anymore then, I don't want them in my life either.

It was surprising that Carter who always stood up for me, the one who dried my tears when I didn't want to, the only person who I truly trust with everything betrayed me, who knew that when my father died, the rest of the family bonds would too?

"I guess it's all for the best," Charlie sighed to her inner self.

I placed all of the pictures that I took off of my dresser and off my wall in my black suitcase. After I was done, I grabbed my car keys and hurriedly paced down the stairs to head to my new home. As I was walking down towards the door, I heard a familiar voice spoke up saying.

"You better not show up back here again!" Munchy shouted angrily.

"Don't worry I won't," Charlie said before marching outside of the house, she once called home.

I got in my red porch car, 'that my Dad brought for me a year ago for my birthday and sped off to my new home. It's a good thing I got along with my Aunt Rebecca well and that she doesn't have kids, I don’t like competing with people.

Within 15 minutes I arrived at aunt Rebecca's house, I slowly parked my car in her garage and took out my suitcases. Trust me I don't know how my suitcases hold so many clothes, they all weigh 1000 pounds.

I took a deep breath before I rang the doorbell, to say I’m nervous would be an understatement, but when Rebecca opened the door I relaxed as Rebecca pulled me in a tight comforting hug.

It took me more than an hour to explain everything; that happened to my aunt. I had to rub my eyes a lot with a few rolls of tissue, as I couldn’t control my tears. Rebecca hugged me the entire time that I was crying and she even whispered soothing things to help calm me down. I'm happy that she didn't think it was my fault that my father died, instead, she simply understand and that's all I need right now. After I finished explaining what happened to my Aunt, she showed me to my new room.

When we got there I was shocked that my mouth fell to the ground, it was twice my previous room and trust me my old room is huge.

Flashback ends......

As I pulled up in front of a huge building, and read the sign that was in bold letters: YORK BROWN'S HIGH. I sighed to myself as I was at the right place. With a bright smile, I searched for an empty parking space to park my porch. It only took me a minute, before I could find the perfect spot to park.

Seconds later

I took my matey bag up off the passenger seat and pulled it over my shoulder lightly, before opening my car door and stepped out, then locked my car door and placed my car keys in my purse...

I observe the place, as I walked slowly inside of the huge school, it's nothing compared to my previous old school.

It wasn't until then that I realized that a lot of students were staring at me. Some girls glared at me for what I have no idea. I'm guessing it's because of how hot I looked. Some boys gave me whistles when I flash them a smile, a wink, or a wave.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I hit my head on a wall, that's funny because the wall moved and I’m 100% sure that walls cannot move.

I tilted my head up to look at the person I bumped into and surprisingly it was a guy around my age. His eyes were blue like the very ocean, he had pink full lips that looked quite soft, he had black pretty hair that looked a little messy and you could see that he worked out due to the tight blue shirt he had on that printed out his eight pack. He is very muscular and could make any girl drool, not that I would be, I’m just observing. He cleared his throat, gaining my attention.

"You like what you see princess?" An unknown guy asked with a smirk.

It saddened me a little when he called me that nickname because my dad used to call me that. I blinked back the tears and surprised him by speaking up back.

"I've seen better," Charlie states with a smirk of her own.

With that I walked away in search of the principal's office, I walked for about 5 minutes when I heard the bell rung signaling that all classes were about to begin. I sighed with relief when I saw a sign that said 'Principal's Office'. I didn't want to draw any more attention to myself than I already did. I knocked on the door, then seconds later I heard a lovely lady voice spoke up.

"Come in," A woman spoke up in a soothing voice.

I stepped inside and took a deep breath because I know that the conversation was gonna be awkward.

"Good morning I am new here, My name is Charlie Brown, my Aunt Rebecca said that I was supposed to come to your office to collect a paper with the classes I have and a paper with my locker number," Charlie spoke up saying confidently.

"Good morning Miss Brown I am Mrs. Rider, you may have a seat dear. I'll go get the papers out of the other room, It’ll only take a minute," Mrs rider added before getting up, out of her chair, and head into a different room.

I sat down uncomfortably as I waited for Mrs. Rider, one minute later she came back with two papers. I looked down at my timetable paper, only to see that I had English for my first period.
