2 Gev Chiyun

"Are you done?"

Gev looked up and saw his partner at his research. He looked at all his papers and slowly nodded. He guess that he should finish this by tomorrow.

"This is the most ridiculous research ever." he said.

Mike laughed at him. "Yeah because you're the only person who doesn't believe in it."

Gev knitted his brow. "I'm a researcher, it's my job to research about natural things not this unnatural thing. You can't say that you're in love to someone but ended up breaking up with her."

"You don't have someone who love that's why you are saying this kind of thing." Mike laugh out loud. Gev rolled his eyes. Mike is in currently in relationship that's why he will definitely preferred the unnatural than the logic.

He sigh. If his mother saw this, she will cry like her family just massacred. He's Gev Chiyun from the Chiyun family. From his grand-grand-grand father, their love story was written in their family's library, and he, will cut those love story because he will never fall in love.

He always believe that love in an unnatural thing. It can't be explain. Like seriously, we study science but there's still a lot of people believe in those things like love, fate and blah blah blah.

"I got to go, I still have a date with my girl." said Mike and walk out of the research facility.

He tidied his own things because he absolutely have messy work place. He still needed to go home because his mother's best friend is coming at their house. He remembered the beautiful lady and her name was Jem. She's from a country he don't know. Well, it doesn't matter to him as long that his mother was happy.

After 20 minutes, he finally came home. He was dead tired.

As he saw his mother he immediately smiled.

"Hello, Gev, you're finally home." she said with the most charming smile.

"I'm home, Mom." he greeted. Beside her mother, there was a never changing beautiful lady. "Hello, Jem. It's been a while since you visited here."

He gave the lady a hug and said, "How are you?"

"Oh god, I can't believe you grow up so fast." Jem smiled happily. "This old lady is great."

"You're not old. You're still beautiful as ever." He said truthfully.

"Okay, okay. I'll believe it." Jem laugh heartily. "So... do you have someone you like right now?"

As he was about to answer his mother cut him off. "Hmf! That little rascal doesn't have someone he like and the worst thing is he doesn't believe in true love!"

He sigh. Here they go again. "If you prove it you can always make me believe in it, Mom."

"There's a lot of it in the library." His Mom is talking about those stories in their library.

He sigh again. They've been debating about this since forever. "Those are only stories, Mom. No one will believe it."

"But you believe in it when you are 4 years old!" He cringed.

He wanted to say something when Jem laughed at them. He knitted his brow. He wanted to asked what funny but her mother, again, cut him off.

"That's not funny, Jem jem!" her mother cried.

"Hahha, it... so... hilarious." Jem laughed again. When she finally calmed down she immediately explained why she laugh.

"When I was a child, my great grand mother always telling me a story about her best friend about not believing in true love and love as a whole." She smile. "Want to know the story?"

His eyes lit up. That is certainly piqued his interest.
