38 After a Phone Call

Noah Sevilla was in dilemma, the girl who named Kaxs is staring at him like she's about to do something. 'Is she really going to kill me?' he thought.

Kaxs Nobles is already planning her revenge but it was interrupted by a phone call. When she looked at the caller, it is Gev Chiyun. Kaxs was wondering why this guy is calling her so she answered.

"Where are you?" Gev asked her.

"Hospital." She answered briefly.

"What happened? Did someone hurt you? I'm coming there. Where is the hospital? Are you okay?" Gev asked her continuously.

"I'm okay." Kaxs didn't know what to feel.

"Okay, but I'm still coming." Kaxs can hear his impatient tone.

Noah saw something crazy. Did that Kaxs, girl just smile? And ever since she answered her phone her face became brighter for some reason. Ah, maybe her true love…

Wait… true love?

A sudden jolt of his heart… the worried feeling like his heart was being torn when he saw the girl an inhaler.

Wait… wait… This can't be, right? Noah thought. If that is true, then he really did something horrible and unforgivable. He just scared his true love and it causes her this! His heart started hurting and smiled. 'Ah… so this is the feeling of hurting.' The pain is new to him. This isn't the pain of having an injury, this is the pain for hurting someone, and the worst of all is, the person who hurt was your true love.

As time passes, his heart is becoming more painful and he started to sweat. The only thought is Lei was hurting.

"You…"

Noah raised his head and saw Lei's father is looking at him.

"Are you Lei's true love?" Adam asked Noah.

Noah was being suppressed by Adam. He was nervous but he didn't lie. He closed his eyes and nodded. "I just realized it a while ago and my heart starts hurting like some bugs biting it."

"Of course," Adam said and sat down beside Noah and patted his shoulder. "Remember that pain because that will be the reason to protect Lei more."

Noah Sevilla was in disbelief. "You will really hand your daughter for someone like me?" He asked in a pained voice.

"Why not?" Adam smiled. "I want Lei to have happiness because she was suffering all those years. We gave her everything, but that doesn't enough because it still triggers her panic attack. Chase and I are both frustrated but all we can do for her is to be with Lei and gave her all the need that she wants. We love her so much that we are willing to give her to you."

Noah wanted to cry. This is the first time that someone trusted him like this. When he was the vulnerable and pale face of Lei, all he can think is that protect her even if it causes his life.

He nodded and looked at the room of Lei. 'I'm sorry to give you pain but I promise you that I will pay for that pain… forever for I am yours.' Noah thought.
