2 Chapter 2

After dinner I took Athena out for a walk, enjoying the crisp fall leaves hanging from the trees. Looking at the stars in the sky, she sighs with happiness; content with her life she never wanted anything to change. Then suddenly she feels someone grab her arm tightly, instant fear flushes through her body. Athena barks frantically seconds before biting the ankle of the person grabbing Jasmine. "Ouch!" screams the unknown person, Jasmine's heart slows down at the familiarity of the voice. Turning around Jasmine quickly exclaims "stop it Athena", Athena whimpers while growling slowly backing away from the unknown person. Taking out her phone she shines the bright light into the face of the person to see that it's Jackson, Jackson grabs her phone quickly from being blinded from the light.

"Hey!" He exclaims. Grabbing his ankle in pain trying to make sure it isn't broken, looking at Jasmine with a rude demeanor. "What are you doing outside so late for?" he says while hoping that he won't bleed out over exaggerating like always. Jasmine slightly grins and spoke "Tonight I just needed some alone time to myself". Her brother looks at her worried noting what happened last week, taking her hand he says "it's gonna be okay". Pulling her in for a hug, she trips slightly over her own feet, falling into her brothers arms harder. Trying to keep the tears from falling Jasmine stutters out "I j-just know I-I could've saved him" she barely gets out, having tears now running down her face. Holding her tightly missing him to, Jackson looks up to the stars and exclaims "We all wish we could've done something."

Back in her room after the walk, she falls onto her bed with sorrow filling her chest, feeling like a burden holding onto her. Staring at her ceiling, she has a flashback from a few years ago.

Christopher runs through the night having the time of his life, not giving a care with his friends. Playing hide and seek him being the founder he couldn't find his friends, getting kinda nervous at the only sound to be there is the cold wind. Hearing the crickets chirp not knowing if his friends are still out there. Jasmine walked down the street to get Christopher to come home for dinner. All of a sudden she sees her brother be grabbed harshly, hearing his blood curdling scream fade into the darkness. Jasmine's heart drops and she runs towards where she saw him get grabbed, she screams out for Christopher. "Christopher!!" she yells out, seeing the man carrying her little brother she sprints towards him. Right before she is able to get to them, the man turns around and slits Christophers throat. Falling to her knees she screams "Noooo!!" running towards christophers dead body she tries to cover the wound while screaming for help hoping someone would come to her aid. Holding her brother's lifeless body in her hands she didn't know what to do, trying to figure out what to do she just sits there holding his body to her chest someway hoping this is all a dream to wake up from.

Still traumatized Jasmine cries wishing if she was just a little faster to catch the man that did it, she would have given her life for her little brother, only dying at the age of 11. Thinking of that horrible night, her anger rising she looks at the ceiling raging. She ends up screaming causing a sonic wave hitting her roof, her windows shattering. Shocked at what she just did she looks around not sure what she just did to her room. Her mother ran, barging into the room scared at what the sound was of crashing glass. Her mother, terrified not knowing what just happened, runs to her daughter's aid asking "Are you okay, what was that, are you hurt?". Not knowing what Jasmine just did she allows her mother to hug her while looking around the room slowly at the damage she just caused.

Jasmine's mother is now constantly checking on Jasmine and Athena making sure nothing will happen to them again after losing her youngest son. Jasmine goes to a field where no one ever goes to see what she can actually do knowing that she has something that no human usually is born with. Remembering the anger she felt last week on that night in her room, she tries to render that anger back. Focusing on those emotions she tries to scream, barely a wave comes out causing the flowers to be destroyed but that's all that comes out. Trying to get that anger back she puts herself back to the night that she watched her little brother die. Channeling all of it she lets out a scream while a tear falls down her face, causing the ground to do an earthquake motion. Causing car alarms near to go off, birds fly out of their nests in the trees, excited but anxious at what she did not once but twice she smiles. Wondering what else she can do she walks back to her house going to grab Athena. While walking back she is becoming calm and collected. She watches a little butterfly land on her shoulder, she whistles to see if it makes the butterfly go away but causes squirrels to come out and follow her. Not knowing why she is being followed by squirrels she runs home, by the time she gets home and closes the door the squirrels stay on her patio outside of her room.

Jasmine cuddles Athena in her arms while putting the leash on her collar, taking her for a walk she goes to her boyfriend's house to explain and see if he can make any sense of this. Strolling down the street, Jasmine stops to test if she can do anything else but nothing comes to her and she doesn't feel anything. She gets to Castiel's house, knocks on the door waiting for an answer, she grabs the door-knocker to knock a little harder but then it turns to ice.
