1 The Beginning

----Prologue----

Somehow this had come to this far, it was all too magical. Even now, I blinked my eyes dozens of times just to make sure everything was real, it felt too real to be called a dream.

It's amazing, I can manage the dream I want.

I used to have nightmares before. I've seen several psychiatrists and psychiatrists to deal with this nightmare. But it always ends the same, a sedative. Yes, they gave me a few prescription drugs that kept me calm for a while after all the failed attempts at hypnosis.

I decided I didn't want to always depend on the sedatives they gave me, that's why I kept changing psychiatrists and decided to go straight to a psychiatrist. Because I think this is a mental problem and only people who are experts on it will understand.

Even so, I still have nightmares. It's just starting to be lighter than before. It wasn't as intense as before, which made my body overreact like sweating or gripping something around me while I was asleep. For example, like gripping a pillowcase with my head turned upside down which made me almost die from suffocation. Yes, it was so bad that it scared me to sleep every night.

The ability to control dreams is not a rare thing because actually, it is very normal to have control over dreams. In psychology, this is called "Lucid Dream".

It is scientifically explained that lucid dreams awaken the part of the brain responsible for self-awareness and tell the dreamer that he must be dreaming. Some people who are aware of this fact can wake themselves up, while others will just let the dream end like I did because it is so fun to end in a hurry.

However, there is also a way to continue sweet dreams if we suddenly wake up, the way is to immediately close our eyes by keeping the body stable so as not to disturb the balance of REM atony, the term is called "Dream – Exit Induced Lucid Dream" or DEILD for short. Wow… science is amazing.

Usually Lucid Dreams can be created or intentional by using imagination before going to sleep to visualize the desired dream then the dreamer will melt into the dream and experience very intuitive dream control. It's just that not everyone can do it even though based on a survey conducted in 1988 by Snyder and Gackenback found that 20% of people claim to have Lucid Dreams every month and 50% of people have at least once in their lifetime, which again means it's normal. if you do.

But it doesn't feel like a normal thing to me. Because what happened in my dream is very real, where I can feel and know the difference between sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and even spicy. Not only that, even the scent can differentiate between the scent of flowers and others. Even the sense of touch that each texture is different when touching plants or animals and other inanimate objects.

So far, it's still not magical. Just wait until I tell you another part that will make you believe that this is no ordinary dream that normal people can control at will.

First Episode in Jayna's life. Jay, nicknamed Jayna Rose.

The night felt very long as if there was no sign of the sun coming up. Even the stars can't show off their glitter because of light pollution in the biggest and second-most populous city in Lemondo.

Thank you to the sun who is kind enough to share some of its light with the moon. At least the moonlight can still penetrate my bedroom window.

Jayna is sensitive to light. But different from the light that nature gives. Such as sunlight, moonlight, starlight, polar light, and the light of fireflies. Polar light, I've never seen it.

That's why Jayna rarely turns on the lights in her room at night. The light that was too bright made Jayna feel uncomfortable and made her feel suffocated because the surroundings were visible. Jayna didn't like that feeling, it was too sickening. Makes a lot of energy drained and exhausted.

Jayna rarely leaves the house during the day or night, other than because of work that requires her to meet clients face-to-face. In addition, she usually asks the employee or staff to do it.

Jayna still lives in the old house of her late parents. While the two brothers already have their own homes.

Today Jayna has to go to meet a client who will work together, directly to choose the ingredients that will be used for her brand's cosmetic products. Jayna created her cosmetic brand when she was 25 years old. It is not an easy thing to build this brand. Jayna founded a local cosmetic company with the brand C.I.C.A.D.A COSMETICS. When she first started this brand, she faced a lot of problems. Starting from not passing the material test in the laboratory because it was rigged by the factory that first collaborated with her to produce cosmetics. Until the money was taken away by her business partner. The feeling of wanting to give up had occurred, but curiosity overcame the feeling of wanting to give up. Curious about what will happen if this brand becomes a reality. Curious about what will happen if this cosmetic product can be sold in the market. Curious how people react to the products from the brand he founded. Jayna is very excited to see the process and results of her hard work in the future. Of course, the role of the two brothers is very important here in matters of selecting good quality materials and dealing with cooperation contracts with factories that will produce products. Jaynais very grateful.

I don't know why today is more tiring than usual. Jayna went to bed earlier than usual. After the evening (around 8 pm), she was asleep with the room light still on.

Suddenly she felt his body float and made her stomach feel uncomfortable, but Jayna was still lazy to open her eyes. At the same time, she heard the sound of cicadas. A very familiar voice she heard as a child when she was still living in the village with her grandparents. There is a smell of damp wood too, a very smelly nose. Jayna slowly opened her eyes lazily. How shocked she was by what she saw today. Between confusion and fear began to rage in her heart and mind.

how not, she woke up in a place that was not her room. In a frenzy, she saw a triangular light. Jayna followed the direction of the light in hopes of finding answers to all the questions that were in her head right now.

"I was sleeping in my room how could I wake up in this strange place?" Her mind was confused when she realized that she was currently at the root of a tree.

When she reached the end of the light, instead of relieved, it made her even more confused. This is the forest where Jayna played as a child. Jayna is certainly very familiar with this place, this is the forest behind the rice fields where her grandfather and grandmother take their wages to work every day they work on the villagers' fields to fill their daily needs while waiting for their two older siblings to come home from school. The three of them were entrusted to their father's grandfather and grandmother since Jayna was 4 years old because their father and mother worked in the city with small incomes.

A cool wind hit her face which instantly made her gasp in surprise and at the same time realized she was looking for a place to ask questions. Although still confused, she tried to be realistic first to find the cause of the sudden existence there. From the amount of light, she was pretty sure it was still daytime.

"As I recall, there were still a lot of people in the fields at these times. Strangely, there was no one in the fields." Jayna mumbled a little as she glanced around.

she tried to run towards her grandparents' house. Her two legs still remember where to run even though she hasn't been to that place for a long time. She was running frantically until something scratched her bare feet making her wince but keep on running.

"Grandpa and Grandma 's house!" She unknowingly screamed when she saw a familiar house.

Sweat dripped from her forehead to her neck. She kept running towards the yard screaming. Grandpa and grandma's house was just a box, with a wooden fenced terrace and was high enough from the ground so that no animals could enter the house.

"Grandpa!! Grandma!!" She shouted while squatting in front of the stairs.

No one answered her screams. She crawled up the stairs from running exhaustion. Allen banged on the door. Still, no one answered.

She looked down at her muddy feet and the same pants she'd seen from the client. She hadn't changed and fell asleep right away when she got home.

When Alen leaned her head against the door of the house and closed her eyes for a moment while catching her breath, there was a familiar scent of lavender.

"This is the scent of my room." she thought still with her eyes closed.

Jayna opened her eyes and found herself sleeping on the sofa in her room. with bags and folders were still strewn on the floor of the room.

"Surely this is my room" she thought.

"I'm back" Jayna mumbled while examining her body with both sweaty hands.

A dream that feels really real, even Jayna's heart still feels very fast.
