Mira isn't what her parents wanted, when she rebels to see her girlfriend she is caught. Her parents punish her in unusual and cruel ways, one way gets her mother shot. She's put into foster care and meets another teen her age, Ella, they are treated poorly and manage to escape with their high school friend, Jackson. They end up being on the news, and they get found. Ella is put into solitary confinement, and When Mira tries getting her out, she's put there herself. She visits the hospital often and would do anything to save her friends. Will she make it out alive?
