5 Your room

Jaeho was in the kitchen preparing the dinner that he bought just now. While he was arranging the food on the table, he noticed that Il Hwa was at the front door, squatting down looking at her newly bought shoes. Jaeho noticed that she was caressing the shoes while smiling.

"You like the shoes that much?" asked Jaeho in the kitchen.

Il Hwa who was admiring the shoes, heard Jaeho's voice from the kitchen.

"Of course! It's my first gift ever~" answered Il Hwa. *I'm gonna cherish it* thought Il Hwa happily. Then, she heard Jaeho was calling for her.

"Wait!" said Il Hwa. Before she leaves, she took her shoes and make sure to place it nicely next to Jaeho's shoes. Then, she went to the kitchen and found the food are ready to be eaten. "As for your information, I'm a ghost so it's okay for me to eat or not to eat…. But as of today, I'll accompany you for dinner for buying me the shoes~" said Il Hwa as she took a seat.

"Alright then~" said Jaeho. Then, both of them grab their own chopstick at begin to eat the tteokbokki together.

"It's good!" said Il Hwa happily as she begins to eat more.

"Yah, I thought you said you're not hungry?" asked Jaeho while looking at Il Hwa who won't stop eating the tteokbokki.

"Yah, this is good. Next time, you should buy from this store again~" said Il Hwa with her mouth full with food.

"Oh my, I wonder you would behave like this if you have a boyfriend." Said Jaeho as he shook his head. At the mention of a boyfriend, Il Hwa stopped eating, remembering the scene in her vision that she had while they were in the campus just now.

"Boyfriend?" muttered Il Hwa alone loud enough for Jaeho to hear.

"Yeah, boyfriend. Why? Do you have one before?" asked Jaeho as he drinks his coke.

"I think I do have…" said Il Hwa. "But I can't remember how he looked like… it's just that I think the guy in my vision just was him..." added Il Hwa. "Now I feel sorry for leaving him…" said Il Hwa feeling sad.

Jaeho who was listening to her, noticed that the happy go lucky person that he saw just now was looking down. Instead of eating the food like she did just now, she was just poking the tteokbokki using her chopstick.

"Alright, you're gonna remember him later… it takes time~" said Jaeho and Il Hwa let out a sigh. "Yeah, you're right." Said Il Hwa. But in her mind, she was still thinking about that guy.

"I need to finish up my research tonight in my room so you can do anything that you want." Said Jaeho and Il Hwa nodded.

"Okay~" said Il Hwa.

That night, Jaeho had been already in his room finishing up his research that needs to be done by tomorrow. Meanwhile Il Hwa was in his room too, looking at the books on his bookshelf. Just as what she promised, she did not disturb him at all. Even though there are times she went near him and looking at him typing on his laptop, but Jaeho just remained focus on his laptop not minding Il Hwa who was standing next to him.

After a few hours looking at the laptop, Jaeho stretched out his body on the chair and take off his glasses. Then, he saw Il Hwa was so caught up with the book while lying on his bed. *sometimes she can be really annoying, but sometimes she can be really loud.* thought Jaeho. *but then sometimes she can be cute too* thought Jaeho again as he noticed that Il Hwa tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear.

Il Hwa, who noticed that someone has been staring at her, closed the book and saw that Jaeho has shut down his laptop. "Are you done?" asked Il Hwa as she got up from his bed. She seems happy.

*and sometimes, why does her smiles seems so familiar to me?* thought Jaeho again. He was so lost in thoughts till he heard Il Hwa has been calling him for many times.

"Yah, Jaeho, are you alright?" asked Il Hwa in worried.

"Oh- yeah, I'm fine… what were you saying just now?" asked Jaeho.

"I said, are you done with your research?" said Il Hwa. "I called you many times, but you don't seem to hear… are you sure you're okay?" asked ll Hwa.

"Could you get into the room with the white door?" asked Jaeho suddenly. Il Hwa was surprised with his sudden question.

"You mean my room?" asked Il Hwa while pointing towards herself.

"Your room?" asked Jaeho and Il Hwa nodded. He felt weird. Because both her parents, aunt and uncle told him that the owner left most of their belongings in that room. But how can Il Hwa say that was her room? Jaeho also thought that Il Hwa might be spending a lot of time in that room and thought that room as her room.

"Well, I don't have the room key… but I think I'm able to unlock it through inside the room…" said Il Hwa.

"Show me." Said Jaeho.

Both of them are standing in front of her room and Il Hwa felt weird with his sudden action.

"Before I open the door to my room, can I ask you something?" asked Il Hwa as she crossed her arms.

"Sure. What is it?" asked Jaeho.

"You're not gonna do anything bad, right? You're just looking, right?" asked Il Hwa.

"Yeah, I promise." Answered Jaeho and Il Hwa nodded. Then, she went through the door and unlocked it from inside. Once the door was opened, she invited him in.

"Come in…" said Il Hwa as she opened the door.

As soon as Jaeho entered her room, he turned on the light and he was too surprised with the interior. It looks exactly like a girl's room. And the room was properly organized like nothing has been touched nor move. *is this what they meant when they said they left some of the belongings here? Is this their daughter's room?* thought Jaeho while he was looking around the room.

"There's nothing to see…" said Il Hwa.

"How do you know that this is your room?" asked Jaeho as he takes a sit on a chair nearby the study table.

"Well, when I woke up, I was already in this room. Then I saw the room looks like a girl's room so it suits me and I just thought that this could be my room~" answered Il Hwa as she sit on the bed.

*she woke up in this room? Then, could it be-* thought Jaeho.

"Have you seen the house owner?" asked Jaeho and Il Hwa shook her head.

"By the time I woke up, I was alone in this house…" said Il Hwa. "At first, I don't even know that I was dead. I found out when I was wandering nearby here asking for help, no one can see me." Added Il Hwa.

"Then, a few years later," said Il Hwa

*years?* thought Jaeho.

"You entered the house with your aunt and uncle… I was surprised and scared at the same time… I thought you won't see me but then, I can sense that you are able to see me… that's why I tried to hide from you… eventually, you caught me." Said Il Hwa.

"Why am I the only one that can see you? How weird…" said Jaeho while biting one of his finger thinking. "I'm not that kind of person who can see ghosts or whatsoever, but I'm able to see you… isn't that weird?" muttered Jaeho alone.

"Plus, why did the house owner, my aunt and uncle won't let me enter this room? It's just a girl's room…" said Jaeho. "Don't you think it's weird?" asked Jaeho and Il Hwa nodded.

"It's like they know something that you don't know…" said Il Hwa.

*yeah… she's right…* thought Jaeho.

"They've been hiding something from me." Said Jaeho.
